Worst experience ever. Went in with 8 people, clearly so many tables were empty, but Janice the host was being so rude as soon as we got there. We had to leave immediately. Seemed like she just wanted to go home, although we went in like an hour or two before the closing time.

After 30 minute wait we had terrible food and terrible service for too much $$$. The waiter said he was horrible server but knew the menu. At least he was honest. we waited over an hour for the food and table next to us took off after having a few drinks. They were upset and frankly we would have done the same but had kids with us. I had steak and it was bland and chewy for medium rare. The pulled chicken Texan was just average. The good thing was the jumbo starter platter. The only cool thing was the old school music videos. They had interesting rock memorabilia. Just not worth the struggle.

So we go in and get on the«waiting list» for a table of 14. They say it will be about and hour until we are seated and hand us a buzzer. The hostess says«Have one person stay here as the buzzer’s range isn’t that good. The rest of you guys can go walk around or whatever you’d like». So we leave one person at the restaurant with the buzzer and the rest of us leave. We all come back an hour later and I go to ask about our table and the lady says they are just now putting us on the list BECAUSEWEWEREN’T ALLPRESENT. Are you kidding me? After YOUR hostess said we could leave? I even proceeded to tell them THEIR employee was the one who said we could, they still didn’t make it right. Ended up leaving and now eating at the neighboring pizza place. By far the worst service I’ve ever encountered. NEVER coming or recommending the Hard Rock to ANYONE. Just lost a huge amount of business. UPDATE: Our group just spent $ 120 at pizza. I wonder how much it would of been at Hard Rock?

Terrible service and average food. A 30 minute wait for two people when there were TONS of empty tables. And the downstairs women’s bathroom was out of order. The waiter was nice but we had to ask for everything, including silverware. I was really annoyed that I had to ask for the garlic aoli for my fries and then he finally told me they were out. First, how do you get out of that? It’s just garlic and mayo. Boom. Garlic aioli. Second, why wasn’t I told that right after my order? Waiter made no deduction to the bill, and he should have. We were also sitting too close to these douchey guys who kept cussing. Word to the hostess: don’t sit a bunch of tequila drinking d bags next to a woman and a kid. The cussing and inappropriate story telling right in our ears was a real downer. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Definitely not a fun experience, which is the whole point of hard rock.

Awesome High priced but good. Located downtown on the river walk with beautiful scenery. Eat outside and enjoy nature or eat inside to check out all the cool décor. Best place to eat and there’s a gift shop

So after some pretty bad restaurants on the riverwalk we were skeptical about trying another one, but decided to stick to the food chains; figured couldn’t go wrong. And a great choice! I saw some other reviews and after having the fiesta burger(substituted grilled chicken) I thought that it was great! The artisan garlic Parmesan fries topped it off! My husband had the legendary burger and that was fantastic as well! Bloody Mary was good too! We will definitely be making this a regular when we visit again!

Been to several HRC’S and this one by far was my worst experience globally with HRC. Service was terrible, waiter asked for drink order, brought the completely wrong drinks, actually drinks for another table, couldn’t remember what drinks we ordered, he wrote them down and read them back to us. Took our food order, and we didn’t see him again for 20 mis, asked three other employees for drink refills. Food came out, appetizers and one sandwich, no fries and no side order, bout 10 mins later, my fries arrived. Still no waiter, he finally makes it over and I ask for the check and it wasn’t even close to what we had ordered. Now we can talk about food quality, ordered a pulled pork sandwich, I got a lump of pork meat and less than a teaspoon of bbq sauce. There was nothing«pulled» about the pork. Food was avg to below avg for the price and the service was dispicable.

They did a great job of getting us seated quickly during the dinner rush… while another restaurant would have taken 45+ mins to get seated, we were almost done eating after 45 mins with the 10 min wait time. The service was really good, and food was also good, no issues at all. The price was the only thing not friendly. But I do recommend this place over others on the Riverwalk!

Understaffed. Waitstaff inattentive. Food served cold. And late. Managers apparently non-existent. If you’re going to serve grossly overpriced food and drinks you should at least do it reasonably well.

Service was a little slow, and the food was good but not worth the price we paid. The last time I went to a Hard Rock Café they had rock music playing, but this one had Pop. Maybe I’m being picky but, sort of ruins the ambiance a little. Overall it’s a good place, just a little too pricey for what you get.

Stopped in for a drink and to renew my faith in Hard Rock Café’s. They fell short for me in most every way. There was nothing particularly wrong but if you’ve been to one Hard Rock, you’ve been to them all. Skip it, I say.

I’m a Rocker… and tradition keeps me coming back when I’m downtown. When I’m playing tour guide, I have to stop in and show my friends the brick wall with Steven Tyler’s graffiti art that I saved. Yep, I did! I was at the tree topping ceremony. Aerosmith came floating down the river on a barge then disembarked at the HRC. Each member took a can of spray paint and signed a HRC flag/banner… Steven kept his signature going which warped into a dog on the brick wall. I was across the river watching all of this. After the ceremony, some worker came over with cleaning solution to wipe the bricks clean. I screamed«NOOOOOO!!!» He stopped and left. I stood there to watch for awhile to see what was going to happen. When the HRC finally opened, the wall had been cut out from the outside and attached to the inside wall at the street entrance for all to see his art. HRC has a plaque next to it saying it was the ‘groundbreaking ceremony’ but the building was already built so it was NOT the ground breaking… ‘tree topping ceremony’ is when the building is finished. I’m not sure what to think of the new remodeled version… kind of a love hate feeling. Keep rocking HRC… rocking SA for over 20 years!

I hate to give the one star and maybe it’s because I’m partial to the local spots, but this HRC is horrible. The staff all look like they hate their jobs, from hostess to waiter, to random employees standing around. I even asked a group of them why they looked so miserable and they just kind of shrugged. The service was subpar and was slow. The food was good but nothing special and nothing I couldn’t get at a food truck. The prices were high but that comes with the territory of being in a tourist area. The memorabilia wasn’t even real! The Van Halen guitar was a replica of the one used prior and signed in 2000s or something like that. Not sure why you would put it up like it was from the 80s. Overall, I’d highly recommend going somewhere else for a better experience, even if it is on the river walk. Some of the memorabilia isn’t original to the period they present it as, service is slow, food is nothing special… go somewhere else.

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I HATE going downtown for ANY reason. Well, wifey had two $ 25 gift certificates that she won at a silent auction at the Make-A-Wish event held in June at Maggiano’s, so we decided to use them. Turned out to be not a bad idea. On the way, she noticed that they were good only for one per table. More on that in a moment. Found decent parking in the lot across from the HR. Parked, went in, seated downstairs at the Riverwalk level, but inside(elevator? Nope.). So we had a seat at the bar, then along came a fellow coworker who happened to be with her husband and friends who were all going to the Weird Al concert. So, wife gives her one of the $ 25 coupons! Problem solved! :) Kentucky, our bartender, was AWESOME! Yes, that really is her name! I called her«Indiana», «Illinois», and«Missouri» just to mix up the states. She was right on with drinks, attentive and friendly! We ordered the bruschetta as our app, then main course. I ordered their version of mac and cheese, with the red peppers. I added broccoli, bacon and exrtra cheese, which was $ 6 extra, but not bad(after all, we had the $ 25 coupon, so it was all good). Wife had a chicken sandwich, and we shared an order of o-rings. All great! All food came out piping hot and ready to enjoy. My mac and cheese was off the hook, and wife said that her sandwich was on point(waitaminit…WHY am I stuck on the Guy Fieriisms all of a sudden?). Wife truly liked the strawberry basil lemonade, and even ordered the basil on the side(she’s kinky that way). Our friends enjoyed a plate of the HR nachos, which was shared with me and was AWESOME, considering that there was none of the nasty«c» herbage that I detest so much. The black beans made the nachos even better. Atmosphere was excellent; not much different from any other tourist-infested Riverwalk restaurant. I even commented something like, «Can you SMELL the tourism?», and one gentleman got a good laugh out of my comment. Verdict: we’ll be back, when it’s called for. Warning: this Hard Rock, by virtue of its location, is pricy. Seems that all restaurants on the Riverwalk are that way. Nothing we can do about it. So if you’re a visior/tourist reading this, THANKYOU for keeping our taxes low. :-)

The arugula salad with feta, pecans, cranberries with lemon basalmic vinagrette had s great blend of flavors but I prefer to add my own dressing. It was a decent size and slighty wilted unlike romaine lettuce.

Hard Rock Café was the classic café on the Riverwalk. The atmosphere was what it should have been — there is a small section for hard-rock merchandise too. What really impressed me was the waitress. She memorized everyone’s orders and their specifications without writing them down and got it right; I’ve seen restaurants that write down the orders and the specifications, and still get it wrong. The only downside was that the meals were on the pricier side, but it was as expected on Riverwalk. The salad was supposed to be about $ 13.50 but they added on $ 2.50 for avocados. Either way, the food was good and enjoyable. I wouldn’t say that I would ever feel the absolute need to go there, but it was alright; I wouldn’t mind going.

The ambience was nice and our waitress was nice. My husband ordered the burger and it was cooked quite well. Very flavorful! I had the mac chicken and cheese, the chicken was great but the pasta was pretty dry. My biggest complaint is that the water glass they gave my husband had a big chip in it that nicked him.

The Hard Rock Café is at its best when you dine outside near the Riverwalk. We were lucky enough to arrive early on a Sunday when the traffic on the river walk was low and the tables selection was«anywhere you’d like sir!» Corporate agenda was in full effect– even more so than usual at the Hard Rock. As we sat, I noticed a menu apart from the standard menu. This special menu featured their«4-awesome hamburgers.» Our waiter Jesus was a good fella but I immediately felt he was being a bit persistent in trying to convince me to buy one of their«4-awesome hamburgers». Honestly there was nothing really special about those burgers. A burger with a thick party, an onion ring, a large leaf of lettuce, a hunking slice of tomato and a large green jalapeño stabbed atop the bun with a toothpick… for $ 15.95!!! Dude I’m not cheap, but there’s no way I’m paying $ 16 for an over garnished hamburger– especially after experiencing HEBs gourmet hamburgers which run 2 for $ 7 and they are just as thick. I understand that anytime one dines on the Riverwalk that the«Riverwalk tax» is passed onto the customers. However, I’d rather be taxed on a large meal rather than an overpriced hamburger. The waiter who was serving the guests at the table next to us did the exact same thing. His opening line was«you have to try the hamburgers!» I eventually ordered a full rack of «fall off the bone» ribs. I’m always skeptical when a restaurant claims their ribs fall off the bone. However, this time, I was delightfully satisfied. The pork ribs were meaty and they did indeed fall off the bone– not to the extent that I am accustomed to but they definitely separated from the bone quite easily. My wife ordered the wings and she was not blown away by them but she was definitely not disappointed. My son ordered a regular hamburger. Our waiter Jesus was definitely attentive to our needs and anticipated our needs as well. When he noticed that the sun began to peek out, he immediately came over and moved the umbrella canopy over the top of us to provide us with some shade. That was pretty good customer service. All in all we were satisfied. Considering the«Riverwalk Tax» you can expect to pay when you are dining on the Riverwalk, I must say that the HardHard Rock Café is a decent place to dine.

Very cool Hard Rock… I was very surprised to see one of George Straits guitars in here!!! I enjoyed seeing Steven Tylers art work at this Hard Rocks grand opening on a brick wall they brought in… really cool. Walk downstairs to the gift shop, very tiny area. Very crowded as its off of the riverwalk… Loved the displays.

Inside it seemed quite spacious but my party decided to eat outside. It was rather crammed but everything on the riverwalk is, so I can’t hold that against them. I ordered the Texan with onion rings and added a side Caesar salad. The homemade Caesar dressing was excellent however I feel $ 4 is too much to add a salad, but I’m cheap so whatever ;) The texan was okay the pork was a little dry and it had a been-sitting-in-grease flavor but otherwise okay. Our waitress was extremely friendly, but vacant for most of our visit.

We were seated near the door and Isabel and xingyu were cold. The music was terrible. Awful band. My veggie burger did not taste like real meat. The drinks had a laughably small amount of alcohol, and she asked for my id, even though I turned 21 over 6 months ago! There was bone in my sandwich. Evan likes food. Really likes food. They gave a knife to my friend, a dangerous girl. The shop was trivially easy to shoplift from. Complete joke. But overall still 3 stars because the food was free. Thanks Hard Rock Café!
