4 $ quesadilla totally fills up this big guy! Great amount of food for the money! I’ve been going for the chorizo lately, has more flavor than the beef and chicken. The Add-on’s are good, various sauces, pico, pickled carrots, cilantro, pickled onions, etc. Look out for the pico with fresh jalapeño, it may sting a white boys mouth like mine. The 5 $ burrito is also very good, and very very big.

I really want to like this place, but the taste just wasn’t up to par. Compared to my #1 spot Taco El Toro on State, it’s more expensive, not open as many hours and not as tasty. However, the owners/workers were much nicer, the cooler with condiments(salsa, pico, limes, etc.) was much cleaner, and they give roasted onions in the burritos, which was good. They are open from about 12/12:30 until 3, just for lunch. It’s on the corner of State and 200 S. right by the Carl’s Jr. If only they were open late at night especially on weekends since they would get a lot of business from the drunkys down the street at Bar X, Beer Bar, and Johnny’s. I got a carne asada burrito, $ 5 compared to $ 3 at Taco El Toro. But, these burritos were giant, like the size of a small baby. With this though, there was not enough meat to rice/bean ratio so it threw it off. They put a lot of rice/beans in it so it’s huge, but not enough meat. Also they don’t have a pico without jalapenos if you don’t like jalapenos. Overall I will give this place another chance because the employees were so nice and the reviews are so good and it’s clean, maybe the quesadilla is better?

This place continues to impress. Best Taco cart around –hands down. Homemade tortillas, fresh ingredients, a great salsa/toppings bar, and great service. I just had a chorizo/steak burrito that just made my day. Added some fresh lime, grilled onions, pico and avocado salsa– oh boy. Thank you Real Taco for coming back to the corner of 2nd South and State!

Great taco stand. Love the carne asada burrito. It’s the size of a lake buoy and costs $ 4. The people who run it are also really nice and do a great job.

That’s what I’m talkin about. Dollar tacos for days… Carnitas was tender. Carne was chewey and savory. Avocado Jalapeño Sauce was just the right amount of creamy to offset the spice. Good shit.

This IS the best Taco cart in SLC. There are other carts a few blocks to the south that are a dollar cheaper but they aren’t as good. I think it’s the beans that they put in the burrito that make it so good. Also there green jalapeño/guacomole sauce is the best around. For a first timer I would recommend the asada burrito. They are a fair weather taco cart and aren’t open in the winter so I would actually give them a 4.5…but that’s not an option.

As far as taco stands goes, this is «as good as it gets.» I like it better than Chuvi Duvi or the one on the corner of 200 east and 300 south. This one is to the north of the CH2MHill building,(Univision building) and to the east of Carl’s Jr. One of my favorites is the carne asada plate. It has a generous portion of carne asada, cooked on the griddle not really grilled– or «asado» but still tasty. The pinto beans are cooked fresh daily, and are definitely not from a can. The rice is fluffy and tender. The tortillas-both corn and flour – are delicious as well. The corn tortillas aren’t homemade but respectable. I think the flour tortillas are though. They aren’t your typical storebought ones. They have a variety of tacos too, carne asada, barbacoa, carnitas, etc. The tacos are all very good and not as small as some other taco stands. Barbacoa is my favorite. Very fresh ingredients, and toppings. Love the salsa bar. The salsa must be made fresh daily too, pico de gallo, avocado/tomatillo, green tomatillo, a yummy red salsa, cilantro, onions, etc. They also have canned drinks for a dollar. They are prompt, courteous, and seem to have a loyal clientele of professionals always around lunch time.
