Great fast food chain based out of Utah and in the surrounding states. Everything was very good. The burgers, fries, and my shake was great. The fry sauce(It’s a Utah thing) is something different to try with your fries. I’ll defenitely stop at an Arctic Circle again when I see one.

3 stars is a little bit of a stretch. The shakes were delicious, and that is what I’m basing it off of. I also liked that instead of charging me for extra add-ins for the shake she just said that there will be less ice-cream because of the amount of space that the toppings will take up.(that’s my kind of shake!) The service is why they lose two stars. My wife walked in and were taken aback by how strange all of the workers were. Not only did they not greet us, but they didn’t take our order for like 5 minutes… and this was at 10:30 when there were no other customers in the store. On top of that, one of the girls was acting really strange, and just like yelling and laughing a lot. The person who I assumed was the manager seemed like she was stoned out of her mind and was just really focused in on refilling the ice-cream cones(which all fell out onto the ground after she closed the container). I’m tempted to change it to two stars, but I know I’ll be back. Because the shake was good, it’s really close to my house, and… «all the freaky people make the beauty of the world» –Michael Franti

I was very pleased with the service here. When I was done eating the person that took my order came and ask me if she could take my tray and if I would care for a courtesy ice cream cone. You just don’t find Great customer service like this. Me and my family will be going back.

This place gets 1, maybe 2 stars from 10am-10pm everyday. I’m giving it 4 for serving ice cream after 10pm on a weekday. Literally all it takes. Seriously, SLC. Lets get on the late night ice cream shops. Sometimes you get a craving that you just can’t shake.

When I was in high school, years ago, this was THE place to eat. The originator of «secret recipe» fry sauce(at least in SLC). Now, sadly, it is just another fast food place, with low quality, mostly fried food. But the fries and fry sauce are still good.

I stand by the AC. This being the«hidden location» of the local chain(I know I’ve driven past it several dozen times but never made the mental note to mark it) it was a nice post-burger stop. I mean, I had a burger elsewhere and stopped in here for a treat. The place was quiet on a Wednesday night, so our rowdy group got right in, ordered, and the food was out super fast. It’s Arctic Circle. It’s about the same everywhere, only this locale is kinda small(though not as small as the mini one on 78th South) and so-so on the niceness factor. I was after a shake, and AC consistently delivers an above average experience. Nice texture, chocolate syrup instead of chocolate premixed soft serve, fresh banana, and all at a decent price. Perhaps it’s different on a busy night, but this was exactly what I was expecting from Arctic Circle and they delivered the goods.

This place is fantastic as far as Article Circles go; However in the whole of fast food in Salt Lake it’s pretty mediocre. The staff are always friendly, even when busy. They have a tendency to forget things in orders, so if you’re getting your food to go make sure you check that bag for everything you ordered! I grew up eating this stuff, so to me it tastes alright, but I do avoid it knowing the flavor is really not worth the calories or the cash. There’s a loud din to the restaurant at all times and sometimes I can’t bare to subject myself to the noise level of the tiny operation, but with Emigration Park so close, I don’t have to. Restrooms are located outside on the west side of the building and you’ll need to ask for a key to use them. I think they do try hard at this location, their only obstacle would be the mediocre food. As far as the milkshakes go, you’re better off stopping at Iceberg or, god forbid, Millie’s.

I’ll eat your Huckleberry… shake! Arctic Circle isn’t bad if you want to get a sweet treat like a shake or a sundae. The food isn’t the best, but some of their food is edible like their Jr. bacon cheeseburger and their onion rings. The last time I was there I got the huckleberry shake and it was pretty good. The staff is always friendly and never seem bothered even when we show up within 30 minutes of closing time. The prices are cheap and they’re open late, so you could do a lot worse when craving something sweet late at night.

This is a bit of a delayed review. I was here a few weeks ago with literally no expectations and still the food was thoroughly terrible. Worst Taco salad I’ve ever had. How do you muff up a taco salad? Hot dog tasted like it was actually made from dog. The lime rickis are as good as I remembered but would probably be better if mixed with some rum or tequila. That way the food would become edible over time.

Waited in the drive-thru for 10 – 15 minutes with 4 cars in front of ours. 2 cars finally gave up on waiting and when we finally drove up to order, the staff barked through the speaker, «We close at 9.» not a sorry or anything… Awesome customer service… not so much…

They used to have the best fries in Utah! Then they changed to Yukon gold potatoes. I think just for the names sake. Yukon gold potatoes are not good for fries but the name sounds cool. Just like black Angus. I am a life long resident of Utah, 55 years worth, and when my brothers came into town they wanted to eat at the good old Arctic Circle! I informed them it’s not the«good» old place they remembered. But I knew I had to prove it to them. And they were very disappointed most of all by the fries. The other stuff is really similar. I never go there but when the wife really has to have some we go there and then swing by McDonald’s for our fries.

Arctic Circle does a few things right. The two items(well, three I guess) that keep me coming back are the shakes, Yukon Gold french fries, and when available, sweet potato fries. My husband would add the Ranch Burger and fry sauce — but then again, he is a native Utahn and loves ranch and fry sauce. What brings this particular location down to two stars? Part of your experience will depend on if you drive through or actually go in. I’d recommend the drive through. Your order might get a little messed up but going in is a scarier experience. Your order will be taken by people missing teeth and lessened brain function. One of the women that works there(and I’ve seen a few times) clearly is not all there. It doesn’t seem to be the cleanest locale either. Eww. But ice cream is hard to mess up, right? And french fries are safe because they’re fried, right? Well, I hope.

Perhaps it was overindulgence. Maybe it was one too many shakes. Things just seem different. Different enough that I can’t eat here anymore. From 5 stars to 2. Be it burgers, fries, fish, whatever. Everything seems smaller and quality just no longer seems to be there. Too bad. I used to love this place.

I grew up with the place and I’ve never gotten sick of their food. They’re portions are a little small with your dinner, but still worth it. But what you really need to come here is for dessert! If you’re from Salt Lake, you’ve been here many times to come here after dinner for a delicious dipped ice cream cone(soft serve!) or their many choices of shakes which are the BOMB! Delicious goodness you can’t beat. Ever. Never ever.

Good fast food burger, great fast food fries(note the qualifiers). But for real, fry sauce did not live up to my expectations. Next time I’m in SLC the quest for the best shall continue.

Let’s get something straight. A bacon cheeseburger is supposed to have enough bacon, either in thickness or in quantity, to justify the moniker. The bacon cheeseburger at Arctic Circle is inadequate not only because of the thin, soft, insipid bacon, but because of the nondescript, sugary bun that reminds me of those awful Sara Lee hamburger buns you can get at Smith’s. I know that beef that is touted as «Black Angus» is supposed to be of high quality, but I found the flavor of this patty to be unremarkable. The fries were actually pretty good, as was the fry sauce, which supposedly was invented at Arctic Circle. But overall, there really is no reason to ever pursue a BC Combo fix at this place, when there are so many more acceptable alternatives.

The shakes are acceptable, the food is not, stay away. Everything is deep fried and extra greasy as well. Our food had clearly been under the heat lamp for a while before it was served to us. I really think the only reason people go here is for the shakes and ice cream. The employees did not seem to be happy they had accepted their jobs at this place. I would be very skeptical of shills handing out five star ratings to this place. Either that or they only had a shake and not the food.
