Super 8 really is an A-Okay hotel overall. However, they are getting a 4 star rating mainly for their customer service, which is so amazing. They also allow pets with only an additional $ 10/night!!! Plus the rooms were only $ 55/night, so affordable. I booked two rooms. I’m sure they get a lot of business because Fort Leonard Wood is an Army base facility. Yes, I came here cause my son was graduating! Proud mom moment. The rooms were clean. AC worked well, it was a bit loud at times but okay. The tv worked well. Each room had a microwave and small refrigerator. What I didn’t like is that I was in a non smoking room but the hallway smelled like smoke! At least the rooms didn’t smell like that. Another thing I didn’t like is that door walls are thin because you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway(not the room). We were on the end of the hall and everytime someone closed the door to the stairs, it was loud and annoying. The exercise room is really really small and very humid. Only three machines(ellipitical, treadmill, weight) were in that room and no room to stretch or anything either. There is a huge mirror in front so you could take selfites. The washer and dryer is next door, it is not complimentary but is great to have. The indoor swimming pool is next to the exercise & washer and dryer rooms. The deepest is only 5 feet and there are complimentary towels there, along with water bottles. The ice machines were located on the first floor, I wished it was one on every floor. I was on the third floor. The breakfast room is big and there is complimentary continental breakfast like waffles, cereal, orange juice, etc. There’s not much going on near the hotel though. It’s located right off the highway but in driving distance is a Wal-Mart, Ocean Buffet, Denny’s, etc. Overall, well worth it, for the price you pay.

Not a bad place. Good deal for the price. We stayed one night while having our home cleaned and waiting to move out of town. The room was clean, although the carpet was pretty worn. The breakfast served in the morning was good, but there wasn’t a huge selection. Very basic continental. Pet friendly.

I spent 2 weeks here. I ended up here because everything else was booked in the area. Room was very basic, but adequate for a cheap hotel. I have 2 complaints. 1) Walls are very thin, you can hear everything. I had many loud neighbors that would slam their doors shut at all hours of the night. 2) A ‘hot’ breakfast comes with the room. It includes a waffle or a cinnamon roll, not much else. There is only one waffle maker machine, so if there is 10 people in the breakfast bar, be prepared to wait a while. They could really use a 2nd or 3rd machine. On a positive note, the Internet was free and actually pretty fast. Overall, a ok place to stay, but it could be better.

My brother decided to book a room at this place since it was a little out of the way and the rate was good. Driving up, it looked clean and well-kept. It seemed rather new, the staff was very friendly and they accepted pets, which was a bonus. The room was clean, bright and welcoming. The airco worked well, which we were grateful for in the 90+ heat. There was a refrig and micro, a workout room, indoor pool and spa — all of which were quite nice. There was also an extra bathroom in the hallway, which is nice when you are sharing a room. This is a military community, so many families stay at places like this. Thus, having a washer and dryer is really handy. The cable TV worked well, as did the Internet. The workout room right next to ours also had a water dispenser which was handy. The exercise facility had bottled water, which was an added bonus. The pool and spa were indoors. They seemed well-kept, however, my brother had some issues with his eyes stinging a bit after swimming. I’ve never had that happen, and never knew anyone else that this happened to, so it seemed a bit odd to me. I did notice on some other write-ups on this motel that the pool may have been over-chlorinated. So that is something to beware of, particularly with kids. There’s really nothing within walking distance, so make sure you have what you need if you don’t want to go out once you check in. All in all, a very well run establishment with very nice staff for a pleasant stay. I’d have to say that this was by far, the nicest of all of the Super 8’s I’ve ever stayed in.

Worst.hotel.ever. This place is a dive. The rooms are filthy. The carpets in the rooms are disgustingly dirty. The pool will give you chemical burns. The«excersize» room contains one treadmill, one bicycle, and a broken weight machine. If someone is using the one treadmill they have, you are outta luck until they finish. And the whole fitness room is the size of a closet. The free breakfast has a bunch of off brand cereals, stale fruit. And no water. Seriously, do yourself a favor and book a room anywhere but here. I opened a Unilocal account, just to post this review. It’s just that bad.

I never know people could get chlorine poisoning from a swimming pool. A group of us got sick from the pool here and the kids had to go to the emergency room.(I’ll spare you the details of repeated vomiting.) I realize we all make mistakes, but hotel personnel tried to deny anything was wrong with the level of chemicals in the pool. They took a reading and opened an exterior door to let out some of the fumes, but when we talked to them they just said everything was fine and looked at us like we were crazy. Poor service is why they get 1 star, but if you still decide to stay there email me and I’ll let you know which rooms we puked in so you can request not to sleep there.

St. Robert Missouri is a military town located at the front gate of Fort Leonard Woods one of the largest Basic Training Bases for the US Army. When I arrived one of the training classes had graduated so there was lots of families attending the graduation ceremony. I was able to get the next to last room in this new property. The location is just of I-44, old Route 66 where there seems to be lots of new hotels being built here. My room was clean everything worked. The breakfast room is large, but due to the large amount of families with young children it was very crowded, I was only able to grab some fruit and coffee. Even without reservations I was able to get a room with two queen beds for $ 55 with all taxes and fees.
