I recently ate at the café on a very busy Saturday morning. I must stress, it was very busy. We arrived around 9:30 and were told that it would be 15 minutes before a table was ready(party of 2). No problem. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes, which isn’t necessarily bad. It’s tough to estimate which guests will end up lagging behind after they finish a meal. We were seated in the middle of the main dining room. A young woman brought out a pile of silver wear and two napkins stuck together and just sort of left them there, without setting them properly. The waitress arrived shortly after and took our orders immediately since we had plenty of time to look over the menu during the initial wait for the table. She was very pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the corned beef hash($ 10.95). While the eggs were done very well(over easy), I was disappointed with the quality of the corned beef hash. I received what was essentially a platter of cubed potatoes, with a very small amount of dried out corned beef scattered throughout. There was little butter on the sourdough toast I ordered, and no butter readily available at the table. Finally, the coffee that we ordered was badly burnt. I doubt that it had been sitting for any period of time, given how many people were eating breakfast. For the price of the meal, the wait time, and the quality of the meal, I would not recommend visiting this café. You could probably receive similar quality food for less money at Perkins or a comparable diner. I left two stars because our waitress did an admirable job serving us given how many tables she had. We tipped her well and were pleasant, but we will not be returning.

We went here one morning for breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious! But what made it more outstanding was the service that we received from our server Lindsey. She anticipated our needs and had condiments and refills at the table before we even asked! Unfortunately we just had one bad experience. The manager of all things! Someone who is supposed to be in charge?! That’s a joke. He went around asking servers who worked last tuesday, and mind you this was in FRONT of all the customers! He found the young man who had worked and told him he had 3 bad reviews on him last Tuesday. WHATKINDOFMANAGERDOESTHIS?!? Certainly not one meant for the customer service industry. Not only was he snub-nosed and rude about it to the boy, he did this in front of EVERYONE.

This is a good neighborhood café with a nice menu of standard café items(burgers, salads and sandwiches) but then they surprise you with some unusual burger variations(see the Surly burger). Ditto on the hot sandwiches(an example — turkey avocado melt). Prices are reasonable, the food very good and my service was excellent. Street parking only.

I’m updating my review to add a star because Neighborhood Café still has it going on in a great way. The staff here are all SO nice and friendly. I love their Mr. Rogers t-shirts, too. They have great happy hour deals on apps, beer and wine. I still really like the jalapeño wontons and the pretzel, broccoli app that comes with cheese sauce. The slow roasted turkey is the best sandwich — cranberry apple chutney, smoked gouda and mayo on ciabatta. Can’t go wrong there. Definitely check this place out if you want to eat some good food in a welcoming atmosphere.

Found this place on Unilocal. It had good reviews. I went with my family who is out of town. The workers were really friendly. We sat in the patio because it was such a nice day out. The patio was really cute & small, only bad thing was we saw two mice. Other than that, the food was good & the prices were reasonable.

After a great solo weekend trip in Austin, I wanted to get some grub as soon as I landed. The only good reason to take the first flight out is to make it to your destination in time for breakfast. The sign outside showed there was a raspberry mimosa in honor of our dearly departed Prince. We both ordered it and started perusing the menu. The drink was in a tall glass. It was delicious and after about halfway we had to ask each other if it was too early for mimosas. Get real, it’s never too early. Besides, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere. I had the Migas because I clearly wasn’t over all the Mexican inspired meals that I had in Austin. They came with cornbread pancakes and black beans. My compañero got the corned beef hash skillet. The Migas were eh. The cornbread pancakes though, yassss. They stole the show! I didn’t expect them to blow my mind as they did. They were sweet and fluffy, not needing syrup or butter but having added them further elevated the taste! Definitely returning for the cornbread pancakes and the raspberry mimosas!

The Neighborhood Café is home to a lot of great memories for me. Whether it’s weekend brunch with my significant other or happy hour on the back patio with my girlfriends, it’s always a good time. They’re mimosa’s are nothing short of amazing. This place is always packed and it’s easy to understand why. The wait is never too long because the service is so fast. Breakfast is always my go-to here and I have never been disappointed. This restaurant seriously feels like going to grandma’s for breakfast. It’s homey and the wait staff are so friendly and welcoming. There is nothing comparable to what Neighborhood café has to offer.

I spend a decent amount of time in Minneapolis for work and I stumbled upon this place the first time and continue to return. I’m usually solo, so sitting at the counter is nice and quick. There’s a good selection of both your standard morning breakfast food and some unusual stuff, like a giant burrito. The coffee is tasty, the staff nice and fun and the biscuits and gravy keep me coming back for more.

Staff was young perky and happy! Beautiful menu with a variety of options. For sure made the right choice going with the Oozy Suzy with egg, which was a great burger with there homemade cheese sauce on it! Had a selection of Wine and other alcohol that I’m sure you would enjoy. Although we didn’t try the desserts, they looked phenomenal and would have loved to try them. Definitely a place to dine at!

Okay, this place is great. They have a phenomenal menu with mouthwatering dishes. I was working across the street all week, so this was my lunch hangout. Well, breakfast as they serve it all day. First, the honey pecan roll is out of this world. My co-worker and I shared one and it wasn’t enough for each of us, so on the following days I ordered one for each of us. It’s served warm with butter on the side. Most of these types of pastries tend to harden as they cool, but mine didn’t have time to cool. It’s not overly sweet or gummy, so you are left with wanting more… much more. The first day I had the homemade corned beef hash. The corned beef was chopped into small pieces, not chunks like some places do(which is how I like it), or minced like it was out of a can. The potatoes were cut into small cubes. With eggs and toast, it was a hearty meal. i would definitely order this again. The next day I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The CFS was smallish but thick, with a nice hard breading. It had a good flavor as well. I was a bit disappointed initially at the small size, but the substance and taste more then made up for it. The andouille sausage gravy was nice and thick. It comes with a grilled biscuit, so make sure you ask for an extra side of gravy for it. You will not regret it. Day 3, I ordered another one of my Tex-Mex favorites, Migas and added chorizo to it. The chroizo was lean and didn’t have all the grease associated with the chorizo I am used to. The dish came with chopped fresh jalapenos, not the pickled ones you find in most places. The dish comes with black refried beans. I should have ordered a side of hashbrowns, oh thoise hashbrowns. It also comes with two pancakes with honey butter. I would also suggest they add a couple of tortillas as this is the more traditional way to eat this. My last morning, I decided to order the Cajun Breakfast. This piece of deliciousosity consists of hashbrowns, andouille sausage, and eggs, covered in hollandaise sauce sprinkled with cajun powder, and toast. It didn’t have much spice(to my Texasfied taste buds), it was flavorful. The andouille sausage is something else. Now those hash browns. They prepare them like I do at home, and then I guess they bake them? Whatever they do, these are among the best hashbrowns I have had. Service can be kind of spotty due to how busy it can get, but the servers are attentive. The Neighborhood Café is a must-visit if you are looking for interesting but tasty diner food.

This review is a first for me. I just had to do it because I LOVE this place! The food is delicious! We stopped in today and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Our server greeted us with a smile as she always does and filled us in on the specials. She suggested we start with a mimosa. Great suggestion! The mimosa’s are huge and very reasonably priced. I had the slow roasted turkey sandwich with the hand cut fries. The chutney on this sandwich is to die for. My sister had the special of the day, the chorizo taco’s. I managed to sneak a bite before she cleaned her plate. I’m working my way through the menu. I seriously think they serve the best reuben around. I’m not sure what I’ll try next but whatever it is, I’m sure I’ll love it! Thank you for the fabulous service, food and great atmosphere!

Fantastic place for breakfast! I had the Migas and it was delish. My boyfriend had the deluxe grilled cheese with onion rings. We polished everything off. I want to love this place. It’s close to my house and I have tried, so many times. Too many. Pros: the food! The food is great. The vibe is perfectly what you’d expect — a cute little place in the neighborhood, not fancy, that serves up great versions of comfort/diner food with thought behind them. And great local beers. Cons: the service. This place gets great crowds, but they overwhelm the staff resulting in terrible service. I’ve been here several times and been underwhelmed, but not enough to vow never to return. Then a few Sundays ago, I called to order a nice big hangover breakfast. I was put on hold when I asked to order breakfast to go, and waited almost 10 minutes before finally hanging up and calling Louisiana Café on Dale and Selby(who took care of me wonderfully). About a week later, a friend wanted to meet at Neighborhood Café for brunch. And this was the experience that sealed the deal for me: I’m done with the place. I ordered an omelette and my friend ordered a sandwich — not complicated. We were sitting at the counter, so there was no shortage of opportunities for our server to acknowledge us — but she was obviously swamped, and stopped making eye contact after bringing our coffee. Eventually we flagged down someone else, who kindly took our orders. About 45 minutes later, she checked in and apologized for the wait, explaining that«They’re a little understaffed in the kitchen.» As a diner I never want to know what’s going on in the kitchen other than cooking — it shouldn’t become my problem. After waiting over an hour for our food, my omelette came, but it was not the omelette I had ordered. At this point I just ate it, since I had about ten minutes before I had to leave for an appointment. No attempt was made to apologize for or even acknowledge the terrible service and bad experience. Hire more staff, Neighborhood Café! You need them badly.

Seriously! I had to tap out. Very helpful and friendly waiter started with an overview of the specials(pancakes with angel Food cake and some oddly named eggs Benedict with tenderloin and mushrooms and bacon — Love me Tender which I guess makes sense on Valentine’s Day with a tenderloin product). Sorry, I digress. Was deciding between the Andouille sausage B&G, a make your own omelet(chorizo, provolone, and avocado — from Mexico? I hope based on their $ 5 million dollar Super Bowl ad that made fun of Scott Baio #GoBroncos!) and the carnitas. Now I really digress. Waiter recommended the citrus carnitas with homemade green and red salsa. Great. Big. And tasty. Yum. But had to tap out. So big. Grabbed some cinnamon and caramel rolls to go while Marvin Gaye is crooning Let’s Get It On over the stereo. More Valentines Day homage? Get up. Come here. But expect a wait. Worth it. Will be back soon.

Anyone interested in chowing down on a squiggly short black hair… Not this girl. I prefer my meals with no hair from any area of the body. Parking could be a little bit of a hassle, it’s close to a busy intersection, and it’s all street parking. I parked across the street then ran to the café keeping my fingers crossed I wouldn’t get squashed by a vehicle. There are two areas for dining separated by the entrance. Décor is modern, lots of gray, white, and black. The host gave me some options on seating, which was cool. Of course I grabbed a table by the window with a view… of the street, but hey it was still nice. It took a little while for our server to come take drink orders. It looked like he was taking on multiple tasks aside from serving. This created an overall slow service experience throughout the meal. We decided to do some sharing and ordered a short stack, figured that was a must, Cajun breakfast, cup of chili, and a cup of their soup of the day, broccoli cheddar with cauliflower. The soups were both soul warming. Super tasty, hot, and filling. I was pretty excited for what was to come after that starter. I found the pancakes underwhelming. They’re huge in size, good overall, just nothing amazing about them. I tend to order the Cajun breakfast anytime it’s offered and there’s only one place that I really love, and it’s at the Uptowner. The dish here was decent but not as great. Then it went further downhill when I found a hair poking out from my hash browns. I kept waiting for the server to come back so I could show him, but he didn’t. When another worker came by to clear our table I showed it to him, then he grabbed our server. By that time my friend was done eating. Our server took my plate away and said he’d take it off the bill, didn’t ask if I would rather have another small portion made. Everyone was very friendly, but just a bit slow. They were busy, so maybe add more servers? Food isn’t anything I must return for, and the hair thing creeped me out. I really wish this experience wasn’t such a let down. I can see how it could have gotten great reviews. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good visit for me.

My favorite diner type restaurant in Saint Paul outside of lowertown. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food is excellent and reasonably priced, they have a decent spread of beers on draft and a great happy hour, and there’s a table that’s just a Pac Man arcade machine. It’s easy to miss in its location behind O’Garas and some random commercial buildings(and also a real pain to find parking) but it’s worth it. If you’re there in warm months, check out the small, but nice back patio.

As others have put it, a pretty basic café, albeit tastefully decorated(I almost asked which Benjamin Moore color they had used on the wall). I ordered Biscuits and Gravy which was served with hashbrowns(and not a TON of them either) and two eggs(over easy, per usual). Hashbrowns were good and the portions weren’t obscenely large(which I have found typical of some local brunchy restaurants). My only gripe was the biscuits and gravy was a bit on the tiny side. Tasty? Yes! But I’d like my main squeeze to take up as much of the plate as my hashbrowns. Service seemed pretty chill and this is a place I may visit again(especially with the free beer after 3 check in offer going on now!) But I think I’d rather drive across the river and be untrue to my inner St. Paul soul if I’m craving some brunch straight out of heaven.

I love this place with all my heart. Not only is it literally my neighborhood café, but the service/prices/food quality are impeccable! A brief overview of why I love this place so much: –I’m obsessed with the homeliness of the joint itself. I have hung out here multiple occasions just to soak in the happy, hard-working vibes of all the employees here. There’s nothing more I enjoy than a local spot that is used to people just coming in, ordering anything, and just shooting the sh*t about whatever it may be. [SOAMAZING!]. –the food is great. The corn pancakes are the most amazing out there, it’s no wonder they were awarded #1. The other breakfast selections are all amazing as well, try the MIGAS! I dare you. –The drink specials are awesome as well. The happy hours are fun and it’s even more great to talk to the staff and enjoy the place while getting a little tipsy on the great-priced mimosas! –It’s simple. Not over the top, not under. It’s just right. And it’s perfect. I would go here with anyone. Family, friends, date night, alone at the bar(or table), for takeout, and with kids. It’s open to everyone! Prices are to die for. Parking can get iffy at times, especially on the weekends. But who doesn’t want to walk off a great meal? 5STARS.

Fresh cut French fries… need I say more? I don’t care where you go, when they have fresh cut French fries it just knocks them up a notch. It’s like they want you to know that they care… no frozen Orida fries for you! Or even worse… those nasty fries that have that seasoning batter like texture to them… just stop! So after driving by this place 1000+ times on the way to work/shopping/aimlessly driving, we decided to stop. They must be remodeling inside, it looks really nice! We were promptly greeted at the door, and told to seat ourselves where ever we wanted. we picked a booth of course. Someone brought a high chair right away for the little. Menu has a little bit of everything: soup, salads, sandwiches, full meals. There were so many things that sounded good, but I was in the mood for some kind of chicken sandwich and fries. I ordered the Italian chicken sandwich with fresh cut fries. Husband ordered the turkey bacon and avocado(I wanted it), and little ordered Mac and cheese… I also wanted that. Order came out pretty quickly… and nice and hot! My sandwich was marinated chicken breast with cheeses, spinach and tomato with a pest mayo on grilled sourdough… it was pretty good! Chicken was a little dry, but other than that. no complaints. Fries? AWESOME! Husbands turkey bacon avocado was ok. pretty dry, but it had pepper jack and that makes everything better! I tried to trade him and he wouldn’t.even though he said mine was better. Littles Mac and cheese? YUM! Mommy had to keep«testing» it. The cheese sauce is plentiful, and super creamy. I would probably order a side of this next time for myself. We will def go back and try some other dishes!

It’s a pretty basic diner. The wait wasn’t too bad for a Saturday around lunchtime. I can handle fifteen minutes without getting hangry. We sat at the bar, which was clean and pretty organized. The advantage of all the servers having to go behind it to pick up the orders is there was never a lack of service. We started with mimosas because weekend, and holy cow, they were huge! I didn’t expect such a giant glass that was pretty much all champagne. We watched them pour it, and a solid three-quarters of that glass is champagne. I had the chili which was good. If you like thick chili, this one won’t satisfy your craving for it. It’s still good, but it’s definitely on the lighter side of the chili spectrum. I couldn’t resist a pancake, which was also good. It came with a lot of whipped butter which I used all of, then put a generous helping of maple syrup on for sweet, sweet, deliciousness. There’s nothing spectacular about the food here; it’s just really solid and pretty cheap. All told my bill was $ 20 for booze and food.

At the neighborhood right now. I’ve been here often and I had a great experience but this time my friends and I had to wait in line for 40 mins when they told us it was a 20min wait, if that. That was not too bad but then we had to wait for a server for 25mins. Now while waiting we realized another table who came after us had been served and left. I’m not one to complain about wait times but I feel neighborhood and restaurants in general should understand how to manage large crowds

This place has become one of my favorites, especially for breakfast, though The Neighborhood Café is solid for all meals. Their mimosas are delicious and the Cajun Hash is a must have. I recently went and decided to try something other than the hash and tried their biscuits and gravy, which while not the best I’ve ever had, were still quite delectable. There pancakes are super amazing too! Don’t forget to come in during happy hour for some great deals too.

My wife and I had about 90 minutes today — a Sunday morning — and we were going to be in Saint Paul so we looked on Unilocal for a highly and well reviewed place for brunch. We picked the Neighborhood Café and am very glad that we did so. Although it is already mid-October, the weather was unseasonably warm and so I chose to sit on the patio. It was just after 9am and the sun wasn’t making it into the back courtyard patio but I was comfortable in shorts and a polar fleece. Most people were dressed in light jackets. No wind made a big difference. I think that everyone was happy to have perhaps their last breakfast outside until next spring. Our server was attentive but not overly so. Cheery but not overly so. Informative but not chatty. Really good and her tip showed it. My wife had the huevos rancheros special. She can’t eat lactose so ordered it without cheese etc. It came with cheese. Server was very apologetic, took it back instantly, and came back with a steaming replacement about 10 minutes later. It was excellent. I had the mijas: corn pancakes, black beans, and eggs scrambled with jalapenos, corn tortillas, and onions and then covered in melted cheddar cheese. Yum. This definitely would have been a five star if it wasn’t for the error in the kitchen about my wife’s order and their lack of soy or other non-dairy creamer for coffee. This is definitely a place we’ll go back to whether it is warm enough for the patio or not.

We went two days in a row. Sunday was an excellent experience. I had the oatmeal which was delicious. Monday I had the farmers breakfast. It was also delicious. I don’t ordinarily like hash browns but these were unusually good, being slathered with cheese as they were. The side order of bacon was just OK. The cornbread pancakes were extraordinary! The coffee was fantastic! It was crowded on Sunday. We waited a short while for a table and the service was decent for the crowd size. Monday was very quiet and the waitress was a sweetheart. The coffee unfortunately, wasn’t the same. Too bad! The restaurant smells a little musty when it’s empty but I suspect its due to the age of the building. All in all this is superb local restaurant and worth visiting.

I’ve been next door to this place more times than I can count at O’Garas. Then I seen City Pages«best of list» for last year and seen best pancakes, Neighborhood Café. I asked myself… where the hell is that? Look it up, and bam. Felt like a schmuck. Finally get to check this place off yesterday morning after it’s been bookmarked for oh, ever. Parking. all street parking, don’t park in O’Gs lot or risk getting towed. Residential or up Selby are your options. Get here early, it’s small and fills up very fast. Get seated with coffee and water right away, big score. Quick glance at the menu and we’ve got our selection made. Time for a sampler menu! Start with the parfait to split between us, just cause we’re gonna order a bunch of a crap, might as well, feel healthy with a parfait. I go with steak and eggs, a corn cake and an original cake. Ashley goes with the #3, cakes(add chocolate chips and bananas) with some bacon and scrambled eggs. Parfait comes out quick, as we’d hoped. And it’s VERY good. Good amount of granola clusters, good amount of fruits and great vanilla yogurt taste all around. Shortly their after, it’s time for the chow to arrive, and we’ve got a spread. Wasn’t happy to see my over easy eggs have a punctured yoke, but, I can live with that(begrudgingly). Hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, gotta love that. Steak was cooked nicely, but was a really thin slab of sirloin. Whatever, I’m hear for pancakes, this all is just a bonus really. Steak had solid flavor on it’s own and was lean, I’ll give it that. The sourdough toast was nothing special, even with the eggs and hash piled on. Cornbread pancake. It was my girlfriends first go at a cornbread cake, and she loved it. It was perfect. Not overly gritty, enough of a buttery-vanilla cornbread flavor to be just amazing, not to mention then the sweetness of the maple syrup kicks in, and you’re loving life. I’ve had corn-cakes elsewhere(Zumbro in Lindon Hills are the raining corn-cakes champ to me) and these cakes put the champ down and out. Original pancake. Hold on people, give me a second, gotta wipe the tears away. Hype = surpassed. Just fucking perfect. Amazing buttermilk-vanilla flavor that is great on it’s own. Goes to the stratosphere with maple syrup, and goes to another galaxy when you combine cake, syrup and the salty whipped butter all in a bite(and I usually skip the butter at most places). Incredible texture, not doughy at all, doesn’t fall apart, soaks syrup like a Canadian sponge, and is simply perfect. Best original cakes I’ve ever had? Bet your ass and nuts on it. The chocolate chip-banana cakes I got to sample, incredible. The batter they use held up to the extra ingredients with ease and didn’t crumble at all. Plus the batter flavor with the extras was a taste explosion in my mouth. Why 4 stars though? Service and my punctured eggs(I know, I’m a picky sum bitch eh?). We had a brief check very early and then our water glasses sat empty for a solid time before we flagged her down and asked for a refill. It’s busy, I get it, but, other staff walked by, stopped to chat next to us, and even rearranged the couple of tables next to us without doing anything about the empty water. Still… it’s now the reigning champ when it comes to original and corn pancakes in my eyes. Good luck to all in attempting to slay the new champ.

So now I’m back at Tires Plus which means I’m back here for some dinner vs breakfast. First, if I didn’t have my free pint Unilocal check-in, the pints at happy hour(3 – 6) would set you back all of $ 2. With a selection of 6 taps offering Surley, Lake Superior, Lagunitas, Wyders Cider and a couple of Bells, it’s a definite win. I chose the Parmesan dusted fries with a lime aioli and their teriyaki chicken wings for my «dinner». Also known as happy hour apps. Super tasty. Just enough lime in the aioli and a bowl of fries that was meant for sharing as I left half behind. The chicken wings, while I prefer them dry, were delicious and would order again. I was cleaning them off the bone just like Danny Gillars taught me many moons ago. So know it is a day later. I’m at work and grab my bank card to pay for something in the lunch room and it’s not there. I mentally retrace my steps and think, ‘gotta be at the café”. I call them up and sure enough, they had it locked up in the register. Just come back and it’ll be there. So back I went, picked up my card, checked in again, and there is another free beer. Seriously? You people are too cool!!! I’m saving that one for another day. And for that other question. Yes. They also serve wine which automatically makes this place a friendlier stop for my non-beer swilling friends.

May have found my new go to breakfast joint! I just moved right off of Snelling and University and used Unilocal to find a good spot to grab breakfast seeing as I had no food yet. The Neighborhood Café had some good reviews and was very close so it seemed like an obvious choice. Unilocal once again steered me to a great little spot I would have easily overlooked. There seemed to be only street parking and it wasn’t the biggest location but we didn’t have any wait being seated. Nothing special about the décor on the inside. It had your typical diner feel to it but nothing to stand it apart. The menu was large and had a great selection for breakfast items. You could build your own breakfast sandwich or omelet, they had a good selection of hot cakes, and french toast and on top of that there was a long list of breakfast specialty items. The service was prompt and by the time she came to take her ordered I was panicked and couldn’t decide between the cinnamon swirl french toast or the Snelling Scrambler. I went with the Snelling Scrambler, which was a great choice. It was very flavorful and full of spices. Eggs on top of diced potatoes, onions, and ham smothered in melted cheese and a plethora of spices. It was delicious to say the least. I also overheard the server telling another table that their pancakes were voted best in the twin cities. I am skeptical because I am quite the pancake critic so I am excited to return. Great spot, decent price for breakfast. Check it out!

The Neighborhood Café is a small place that’s easy to miss. But it is exactly what it says it is – a neighborhood spot that is quite charming. There’s a room with a couple of booths and other tables and a counter next to the bakery case in a second room. The place is not big, so I can see how the waits could be long and frustrating, especially on the weekends. But as we went for a late-ish dinner, we found the place to be delightfully open and hospitable. So first: Hey they serve breakfast for dinner here!!! How have I not found this place before? And they’re open until 9 most nights, so now I have a new place to satisfy my breakfast for dinner itch. That in itself is totally worth it. As it turns out, the biscuits and gravy I ordered were very good. The biscuits were buttery and tasty. Not quite sure I’d call them flaky but that was OK. Still a really yummy biscuit. Gravy was thick, creamy, sausage-y and really delicious. It was so good my husband requested a second bite, which is pretty rare. My poached eggs were clearly done in the microwave(they came out of the little cup molded into cup shape) and were overdone. No runny yolk. :-(Hashbrows were OK but not great. My husband got a burger, which looked delicious. Thick slabs of bacon, nice melty cheese. And because he requested avocado, it came with pretty much half an avocado sliced… I was impressed. Because really, how can you have too much avocado? When I checked in on Unilocal there was an offer for a FREE draft beer after 3 p.m., so my drink was on the house. The beer list was short(half a dozen taps or so) but very good. Two Surlys, Farm Girl Saison, Moose Drool and two others I can’t remember. But a small but nice selection of craft beer. Since my hubby’s burger was on special and my beer was free, our tab came to a whopping $ 23. So quite a bargain as well. Service was generally fine, though we did have to wait a bit too long between finishing our food and receiving our check. But all in all, a really nice stop.
