I want to give it zero stars. Disgusting food and horrible service. Owner came and shouted screamed and cursed in front of my family. I will never come back to this horrible overrated piece of trash

If I didn’t have to put any stars I wouldn’t. Horrible service at this place. Food was terrible. It came out cold, it was not what was described on the menu and it took and hour and a half to come out. And mind you it was not busy whatsoever. Honestly I would give this place 0 stars based on service alone. But the terrible food topped it off. We waited 10 minutes for menus. We ordered two drinks and it took over 25 minutes. The restaurant was not packed and waitresses were just walking around doing nothing. Nevermind that they were rude and unwelcoming. Will definitely not be visiting this place again.

I will never go to this restaurant any more! One of the waiters here is the rudest person that I’ve met!

I come here for the experience more than the food/drinks, usually after a night of kickball at the nearby field. It is a little hard to get to, being on Roosevelt island, but I was additionally excited for an excuse to ride the Tram. They had tables with people playing flipcup – a fun way to extend the team-bonding night! The drink specials were great and the bartenders and waitstaff were super fun and friendly. We all loved the music and sang along, probably amusing to the staff. I think the guy who owns the place also works as a bartender, and he was truly awesome!

Ok, so i live on Roosevelt Island., and it’s the only bar/restaurant. so no choices and no one to compare to. However, the wait staff is dumb and unfriendly, and lack experience. They dont know how to be nice. The food is mediocre and the ambiance stinks. They over charge for just about nothing. The owner rides on the fact he was a policeman, i wonder how he did that job?

Came here one night and ordered the fish tacos. Didn’t expect the fish to be completely raw and cold. Didn’t eat them but the server still charged me.

The food itself wasn’t extremely horrible, but the overall experience wasn’t great. Orders were incorrect and expensive for what it was and staff wasn’t overly welcoming. Roosevelt Island selections are limited but I would recommend waiting until you’re back in Manhattan or Queens for lunch.

First time to Roosevelt island. Played flag football with ZogSports. They had an event post game with drink specials. 2 for 1 pitchers of bud light, Awesome! The bar had wings on sale for 50 cents! I love me some wings, couldn’t pass that up. I tried the mild and bbq, cooked to perfection(for a bar anyway). Music was decent They had 2 tables for beer ping, but we stole one to play flip cup. Had a lot of fun meeting my new teammates

I would say the Benedict egg is OK. The service is OK. However the latte which is almost $ 4 without tax, I believe it’s instant coffee or at least they didn’t use real milk(which means creamer, coffee mate etc.). This is too bad to me even as a non professional coffee shop. So one star for Benedict egg, one for service, if the coffee was not that bad, there’ll be three stars and I’ll round it up to four.

I just ordered three items from the dinner menu, and everything was disgusting, even the fries. The food was so bad that Riverwalk deserves less than one star.

I came here for brunch with a friend one Saturday morning. There were only a few customers when we arrived, and we were directed to sit at any table. We ordered the standard: french toast and an omelette. The food was decent, not amazing. the«home fries» were more steamed than fried. The bottomless coffee, however, was amazing; the waitress refilled the carafe every now and then, and it most definitely caffeinated us throughout the day. Our meals were very inexpensive, which is always a plus. Perhaps this was an oversight, but they overcharged the omelette. The manager evaluated the situation and promptly corrected the price. I’ll probably be back the next time I come to Roosevelt Island!

This place is alright. Have dined here several times and have thought the food to be mediocre at best. Typical diner fare. Weekend brunch ends at noon. most folks I know don’t go for brunch till 12 or 1pm. irks me. The service is absolutely horrendous. The servers clearly would rather be somewhere else. This place gets packed with Zog sports teams and if they are there you will be ignored. The bathroom could be cleaner. This place really deserves 2 stars but giving it 3 cause it exists… There’s a serious lack of dining options on Roosevelt Island.

There aren’t a whole lot of dining options on Roosevelt Island so this place gets 4 stars just for its mere existence! The PROS: –It’s conveniently located between the tram and the subway. There is outdoor and indoor seating. –There are multiple large, clean bathrooms complete with a baby changing table. –The happy hour is pretty good with cheap beers and wines to enjoy. –Overall though the food is pretty good and the portions are quite large. –The service has been outstanding every time I’ve been here(which has been about 3 – 4 times now). The only downside of this place is that the menu is not THAT large. I have gotten so spoiled living in Manhattan with diners/grills having such huge menus that this place’s menu seemed a little small. There are several options but I could see how you could easily get sick of this place if you live on Roosevelt Island and this is the only grill & bar you have to visit.

I went to this place to celebrate halloween. The burger was amazing and I loved the sweet potato fries. The waitress was very attentive and kept asking if we wanted another drink when our glasses were running low(Which is a sign of a good bar). Overall, my fiancée’ and I had a wondeful time and we will definetly come here again. My only complaint is that we didn’t win best halloween costume, but I am sure a lot of people feel the same way on halloween!

I took my sister to Roosevelt island to take the tram(recommended for tourists and cheap romantic getaways with a swipe of a Metrocard) and we walked into Riverwalk with empty stomachs given it being the only restaurant around. + Convenience — Steps away from the F subway station. + Food — We ordered sandwiches — classic diner food, not anything to rave about. The sweet potato fries were a hit. I do wish the portions were larger. — Service — After eating our meal, the game of ‘search for the waitress’ ensued for 10 minutes. I was not surprised. Riverwalk Bar & Grill is a monopoly on Roosevelt Island.

The few times that I order something from Riverwalk I was disappointed. They usually came in late and the burgers were soggy. When I went there, they weren’t so bad. I remember that the service was bad. I didn’t go there after that

We went for first time to this place. Food is really good, chicken wings are great, salad, burger and soup were very tasty. But the service is POOR. Waitress Stephanie is extremely slow and lazy. Bartender is more interested in flirting and doing nothing but work. They brought food separate so we couldn’t eat together, she forgot our drinks, cutlery, napkins. But of course she had time for chatting happily with people instead to work efficiently. If you live in RI you are f*cked, because is the only decent restaurant on the island(this island only have 4 – 5 places, suuuuper bad). You have to deal with these lazy bones. 3 stars for food, — 2 for poor service.

This was exactly what we wanted this place to be. Solid, ridiculously inexpensive breakfast with fast, attentive service. We had headed to Roosevelt Island for the morning, noticed a rumbling in our stomachs, and went to the only open restaurant near our subway stop. I had eggs over easy with home fries and toast. Our friendly waitress was willing to work with us to serve us quickly, as we were running late to our next appointment. Couldn’t believe how small the bill was. Good food, great service, great value!

I had brunch with a friend here today and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and the staff. We had a starter comprised of a toasted cinnamon pita and fresh fruit, which was very good. We each ordered a «stacks» breakfast comprised of a layer of home fries with peppers and onions and a layer of eggs. I had the egg whites with spinach, and LOVED it. Our waitress, Teri, was wonderful! She told us that we should take a free tour around the island on the red bus, and asked her boss to give us his list of «must sees» in New York that are not the typical tourist traps. As if her helpfulness was not enough, she gave me access to an extension cord, so I could charge my phone while there. We stayed a couple of hours to avoid the cold, and while the music played throughout our time there, we could always hear each other very well. The only thing that kept me from giving them the full five stars was the coffee, which was not great. That said, on a cold day, it didn’t stop us from drinking at least a pot of it. I can only hope on a returning visit that they will have a smoother brew, but truly everything else was WONDERFUL!
