Oh, Baker Street how I used to love you. Your grilled chicken salad is the most pathetic salad I have ever seen and eaten. Your chef and manager should be ashamed and embarrassed to serve this salad. The menu states«grilled chicken, cucumberS and tomatoeS — I could not believe my eyes that a round slice of a cucumber was cut into 4 and put on each corner and two grape tomatoes was cut in half and also placed on each corner. Damn, I wish I took a pic so you all could feel and understand what I am talking about. If the menu says a salad has CUCUMBERS and TOMATOES they should be ALLOVER the salad and not 4TINY pieces on the corners. GETWITHIT!!! You get a second star because I have been going to your bar for years. Embarrassing!

They serve food until pretty late, so I lucked out trying to get some comfort post-drinks food after midnight. They have the bar area to the front, but a nice seating area for dining in the back. There are flat screen TVs mounted everywhere, so it must be a nice place to watch some football. In any case, I got the appetizer platter with my friend, which came with fried chicken, onion rings, spicy wings. SOGOOD. The onion rings were quite good because the breading was thin. You can completely taste the onion. The wings were hella spicy. And the chicken tender, which looked like large fries, was deeply satisfying. The whole thing was $ 18, which I would say was expensive for what we got, but I figured I was paying for the convenience of eating this late. Service was excellent.

10 min to get a drink. Shitty service. Hire some competent bartenders. Tried to order food and was not served.

Update: Great happy hour, good dinner food, and fun bar trivia on Wednesday nights! Definitely swing by for trivia night! It’s a lot of fun and you can win gift cards to Baker Street. There are also free drink questions, where you submit your answer to the question and the host will randomly draw an answer out of a bag. Last time, I had the bangers and mash– delicious. This time I had the chicken pot pie, which was not exactly what I expected. Delicious, but it was deconstructed. Will definitely be back for happy hour and trivia night!

This is my neighborhood bar, and my husband and I have been here more times than I can count. It’s a fun place to meet up with friends for a beer, and the food is above your average bar food. I’d go as far as to say the chicken pot pie is outstanding, and even though the Caesar salad isn’t traditional, it’s very good. However– their mixed drink game is pretty weak. The past FOUR times I’ve ordered vodka sodas there over the past few months, I’ve detected almost no alcohol at all in any of the drinks. It’s kind of maddening. Stick to beer here– they have a decent selection.

This review is for TRIVIAONLY: Adam runs a FANTASTIC trivia here every Wednesday from 8 – 10 pm. Great mix of questions– not too easy(i.e. Mad Tim’s up north) and not too hard(i.e. Van Diemen’s in Murray Hill). He also keeps scores a secret until the end so you don’t lose interest(if you suck, like we sometimes do). There are intermittent free drink questions and he gives you small bonuses if your answers are hilarious. For everything else, it’s 4 stars: the beer selection is great, the food is average/slightly above average, and the wait staff is courteous. Would say that the food prices are a bit steep for the portions, but otherwise no complaints!

It was feet away from the comedy club I went to. On my way to catch a cab I stopped in for a quick drink. Never put an Irish bartender to serve a Trini because ain’t nothing will be quick about that stop. I ended up hugging another patron at the bar. A long hug. Sidebar: this was long before the same sex marriage bill was passed. In my defence she hugged me first, I simply returned the sentiment. Americans are friendly boy! I also played therapist to her and her issues. Americans share easily boy! When it came my turn to order I asked the bartender to surprise me and boy was I surprised! I was also shocked(that I was surprised), scared(that I wouldn’t remember my name), and a weeee bit embarrassed. I was served an innocent red kool aid looking drink. I tasted it, sweet and«hey did you put alcohol in this?» I’m not a fan of sweet alcohol but this one tasted of hardly any alco and it was so nice! I asked for another and woke up about 33 mins later, wide eyed but so refreshed. This review isn’t about me so I only have two things to say in my defense yet again 1: I also had a few at the comedy club 2: Sweet alco and I don’t get along. Also I don’t like vodka(which I found out was the poison). I never wanted to try flavoured vodka. I don’t like vodka period(maybe it looks too much like water or white rum which I also don’t like and as far as I know I had never had vodka before. Hahaha«as far as I know»…I sound like such a drunk. The staff was friendly and accommodating I mean come on! I FELLASLEEP! The corner space is nice and large AND they comp you drinks just because. A fun ending to a wonderful night. The End.

I am a huge fan of BBC’s Sherlock as well as the RDJ version so I was more than pleased to find a British style restaurant in Manhattan. They do have a lot of American fare such as Buffalo wings, onion rings, mac and cheese bites, variety of salads and burgers. But they also offer and Irish beef stew, Bangers and Mash, and Irish Breakfast, fish and chips, curry and Shepard’s pie. They offer somewhat of a kid’s menu as well as an extensive beer menu. The service was acceptable and the atmosphere quiet for the middle of the day. But I could see it being a popular tourist and after work destination.

The buffalo wings here are good. It’s a decent bar in the 60’s but really nothing to write home about. They don’t have free refills here on soda(or at least last time I was here they didn’t) so that was strange. It’s a local place where my friends and I go for a good happy hour and bar food. I does what it’s supposed to do: average food and good drinks! Gets packed for soccer/rugby games so get there early if that’s the reason for your trip!

Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. Came here with coworkers several times. One time we came happened to be trivia night, which was a lot of fun(our group won and as a prize we got a $ 50 bar tab which was nice). Solid beer selection which is good. The food tastes like traditional pub food. Fries are normal, as are their burgers and sandwiches. Nothing extraordinary, would only go if I was in the area and with a large group who wanted to go here.

What a hidden gem! I came here for dinner and drinks with friends from the area. They said they never really eat there, but I’m positive they will now. The Mac and cheese bites were out of this world!!! I just don’t think anyone could compare. I got a quesadilla and it was on point. It is a great English pub!

Solid. I live around the corner, but never came here before. Judging by the tables near the windows, I thought that this place would be dark and very pub-y. I’ve only been here for dinner, and it was much bigger than I expected. I came in around 7 on a Tuesday, and it wasn’t too crowded yet. The servers were very friendly. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and my dad got a cheeseburger. Both were good. I liked that I could substitute my fries for a salad for no extra charge. This neighborhood has lots of great ethnic options, but if you’re looking for some good pub food, I would check out Baker Street.

Perfect place in the area for brunch(unless you’re looking for a bottomless deal.) It’s $ 15 for an entrée and two brunch drinks, which never fail to get me buzzed. The food is good, too. There are enough TVs around that you can spend the entire day munching, drinking, and watching sports. I’ve been here on a Friday and Saturday night for drinks, and it’s been kind of dead. They have a decent selection and enough space, so I’m not really sure why that is. Always busy for brunch, though.

I’ve frequented Bakers street since moving to the upper east side 2 years ago. Never seems to disappoint if your looking for a neighborhood bar to grab a quick beer and enjoy a solid brunch. Brunch is $ 15 and includes brunch drinks. For dinner I enjoy most things on the menu but I’ve started to love the Irish Beef Stew. Bartenders are always nice. Soccer is the sport of choice although you can find any sport.

I’ve gotten to know this place pretty well over the last two months and all in all, it’s a very good local hangout. While the mad Russian has been visiting her grandmother, I’ve been trying to get frequent flyer points for consuming the customized bloody mary’s I’ve been ordering. The mix the make is good– but for good measure, I have them add a little more black pepper and horseradish. Yumm-o. There’s always at least one football game on and fans come in to cheer their respective teams. If it’s not soccer, then it’s rugby or american football. Either way, pair your cocktails with brunch and it’s like a freebee on the drinks(or the food). On the brunch menu you can eat and get two cocktails for $ 15. Hands down a winner in my book. I was going to wash down those bloody mary’s anyway. Pair it with some corned beef hash with a couple of poached eggs with toast, and you have yourself an event. The bar help is always excellent and fully attentive. You won’t wait long for food or drink. The consummate definition of good bar help. As long as they remain so good, I’ll keep coming back. Choose your seating to fit your lifestyle– the bar, some high top tables along the bar or regular tables for groups of 2 or more looking for a sit-down meal.

For me, Baker Street is the convenient place to go when the weather is terrible out and I don’t want to venture far to watch football/hockey while indulging on beer & wings. Come to think of it, it’s a convenient place to go no matter what the situation calls for — brunch, lunch, dinner, what have you… I can’t say I was disappointed with any of the food I’ve had there. Their wings are the best on the block(limited pool, I know), and the nachos and sliders are pretty decent as well. I can’t remember on the top of my head what I’ve tried outside of Sunday football hours, but like I said — no disappointments. There’s a pretty large menu(especially come dinner time) so everyone will be able to find something to their liking. Fellow Broncos/Rangers fans are welcome to bring some team camaderie!

My boyfriend dragged me out of bed at 8am for hurling last Sunday to see his team *Tipperary* play. Apparently this was one of the few places in New York broadcasting the game. We had to pay $ 20 per person just to watch the game and from what I’m told, they don’t make much money because of the expensive cost for the right to broadcast the game and the small amount of people who show up to see them. Anyway, the game itself turned out to be amazing, to my surprise, but I digress. I didn’t order anything because everything on the menu looked really heavy and I don’t tend to have a huge appetite in the mornings. My boyfriend got the full Irish breakfast and while he says it was tasty, it was missing mushrooms and tomatoes, and came with french fries instead of a potatoes. Not really representing a genuine Irish breakfast there. If I hadn’t been to Ireland I would be wondering if the Irish people really eat french fries for breakfast. Anyway, the food was so dense my boyfriend wasn’t hungry for almost the entire day. According to him and our friend who was with us, the coffee sucks so do with that what you will. The good stuff — Baker street pub has lots of tv screens to watch the game on, and the staff was friendly enough. Service was quick and servers were attentive. Prices are moderate.

Good neighborhood pub with decent pub food and a wide selection beer. Brunch comes with 2 cocktails for a prefix price $ 15.95(keeps increasing.)? The brunch burger is good, as well as the corned beef hash. You can’t go wrong with the three egg omlet with your choice of fillings. Off the regular menu I’ve enjoyed the catfish po boy, buffalo wings, turkey burger(meh, bland and on the dry side), reuben sandwich. TVs everywhere, this place gets packed for games especially soccor and rugby.

Stopped by again for a burger and beer, and was a bit disappointed — the cross fries were really just big pieces of potatoes, and the burger was too dry when served. Good thing: free shot of Jameson from the bartender, though, something about a promotion for the night. The Shepard’s pie that my friend had looked better, though. Will try it again if others want to go.
