Furniture broken down, one of shirt got ruin because it keeps getting snag on the staples sticking out of the torn up chair. One positive thing is that on Sunday its .50 cents wings. Can’t really say you can get there anywhere else around here. Needs more server.

Not too thrilled with this place. It’s a total sausage fest up in there. When you leave you and everything on you STINKS like grease. I can’t get that smell out of my hair. What’s with the gross black pleather couch… Looks nasty. What lady would want to sit there???

The Good: bar food good depending on cook, wings are always good and are on special a couple times a week, regulars are friendly, good happy hour on beer. The Bad: the maintenance is poor at best, most bar stools broken building not kept up. The Worst!: Every time I have used a credit card to pay(3x) out of many visits, the total has been rounded up to the next $ even if the total was only a nickel over. Maybe this could happen once or twice by accident but every time seems fishy esp with a different server each time, I even bet the last one about if this would happen again!

IT’s a Saturday night, you find yourself in Henrietta, and you’re wondering, «What do I do with my evening?» If you’re in the mood for a reasonably priced beer, a relaxed atmosphere and some live music, then check out Mckenzie’s Irish Pub. I’ve been there a couple of times and each visit, I’m pleasantly surprised by the place. There’s nothing fancy about it, but they have a decent draft beer selection, darts, a pool table, and live music. I even saw a full-on poker table with a bunch of guys playing while I was there last. The bar tenders have always been quick to take my order and the bouncer at the door was kind enough to tell me I shouldn’t park along a nearby building since the police have been giving out tickets. I look forward to the next time I can grab a beer and watch a band there.

McKenzie’s Irish Pub has plenty to do on the weekends to entertain you while grabbing some drinks with friends. I stopped by to see a friend’s band(Hey Mabel!) play one of their first gigs at McKenzie’s. While there, all sorts of other activities were going on. There were the typical activities, like darts and pool(although the pool table was not in use due the the crowd), to a poker game, which left me wondering how they were playing with all the noise from the band. But, play they did. If darts, pool, live music, poker or arcade games aren’t your thing, they also have a good number of TVs with college sports and horse racing on. Still not finding something you like — well, it is a bar after all so grab a drink! They have a few draft beers and plenty of alcohol to please even the pickiest of drinkers. All in all, if you’re looking for something to do in Henrietta, give McKenzie’s a try.

All you can eat chicken wings for $ 10 on Wednesdays… and they’re decent wings! I wouldn’t recommend the honey mustard sauce, but all the others we tried were pretty dank. Super friendly staff frequented our table to replenish dwindling drumsticks and recommend different sauce flavors. Cheap beer too– pitchers of Rolling Rock for $ 5 while playing a nice round of trivia with the regulars(clearly Trekkies, making it even more interesting). Overall, recommended for a low key evening at a bar; we left by 11pm, so it could get crazy in there– we’ll be back to check it out.

Would a chicken wing by any other name taste just as amazing? Like the meaning life or the question of how many licks does it take to get to the center of a toosie roll… we will probably never know! What we do know, is that Fridays from 5 – 9 McKenzie’s Pub puts out a plethora of $ 0.35 wings in about a dozen different flavors. I tend to stick to 2 maybe 3 flavors but their veteran waiters are ready for even the craziest of requests. One of my chicken comprades will often get 2 of this flavor, 4 of that, 1 of another(just to try it) 3 of this other kind. I don’t know how the waitress doesn’t loose it but she doesn’t lol. The wings are decent sized and usually come out pretty quick. Beer specials and crispy fries or onion rings go great on the size and although the place draws a crowd, we’ve always been able to find a table. The only down side is the Kareoke, or maybe it’s an upside for you, at the very least the ongoing Kareoeke antics in the background can give you something to sing along with or have a laugh about. Go get some wings this Friday and I promise you’ll be glad you did!

Group of 6 ladies tried this for lunch on Saturday afternoon, while in the area wedding dress shopping and we needed some nourishment. It was the worst lunch experince any of us have ever had. One in our party has an intolerance for gluten and made our waiter(loose term for the person who brought out our food out one at a time w/long waits in between) aware of this right from the start. She ordered nachos, normally safe food to eat out and unfortunately became sick after eating there — we now know that they did not look at the bag until after I just called there, SOMAD!!! Anyone who cooks or works in food service should know the IMPORTANCE of allergic reactions to food you never know what could happen and this has ruined an important day for us. So besides this issue, the food was dreadful. 1. They need to learn how to use their microwave! 2. Don’t order the Boneless Chicken Wings — they don’t have them anymore — so not sure what came out on the plate but it was inedible. We gave it back to the server and he couldn’t figure out what it was either, ok, so really bad. 3. Not one but two hairs were found on another persons plate — mac salad that comes with every meal, only some people get hairs! Wish we didn’t give them 1 dime for any of this, and should have turned around and found some place else to spend our money, Hope you do.

Had our fantasy football party here. Owners and staff were very nice. Live their home brew cider with cinnamon. Lots of choices of bar food for vegetarians. Love their fries and fried pickles. Bar is very clean. Lots of places to sit, including couches.

$ 5 pitchers of Rolling Rock, everyday all day. Seriously?!? And this place isn’t even located in the heart of a college town. Located on a less travelled portion of Rt 15, you might easily miss it. Well, don’t, because your wallet will appreciate it! Walked in, and definitely could tell the ‘regulars’ were socializing with the bartender. We came for dinner and drinks, so I inquired about their most popular dish. «The Mile High.» Ummm Rochester is only 500 feet above the sea… however, this sandwich definitely didn’t disappoint. The mile high has fresh cut French fries, coleslaw, tomatoes, fried egg, and cheese, served on sourdough bread. You can choose from a variety of meats but I went with the recommendation of pastrami. With how much came in the sandwich it was surprising a relatively clean, easy to eat experience. The sandwich was supposed to come with chips but the chef mistakenly put on fresh cut fries, score! They were very good, considering I usually don’t need ‘em. The best part was it cost only $ 6.95, great value! They have a line up of mostly domestic beers, yawn, but a few worth mentioning, seasonal Sam Adams, and a seasonal Saranac, thank you for my Caramel Porter! My buddy ordered a few mixed drinks, and prices were kind of steep for where we were. So while at McKenzie’s, stick with the beer. They seem pretty heavy on promotions that mostly feature the beer. They have pool, a few dart boards, a seating area and even one of those basketball shooting games, like at Chuckie Cheeses, ok so maybe also at Dave and Buster’s but everyone enjoyed the mouse as a kid! But this basically sums up my experience here: $ 5 pitchers of Rolling Rock, everyday all day. You can’t go wrong!
