This is a nice«drop-in» place. We have been here a couple of times for a tasting, to fill a growler and once on «pizza night». They have some fun events, a «mug club» and great cider. We always have fun with our server, who is usually someone very social. We have been very pleased to have found this site.

I’d never go seek out cider before I had this. So smooth! Be careful it sneaks up on you. The flagship favors are my favorite but the seasonals are good too. Love the tasting room vibe. It’s off the beaten path so it’s never too busy.

Omg I am in love with this place and I can’t wait to get back here!!! This is a totally unassuming place that is kind of behind the Christmas tree shop. It is hard to find and I kind of wish it was in a different place because I am sure it would do so much better. It may be doing great now but it would be doing even better in a different place. The place is cute and cozy. There is a bar area and a table for a group of about 10 and then standing room. The table has the greatest blue road right in the middle for picture opts. They had a great selection of ciders on tap for you to pick. The menu was right above the taps so you could easily figure out what you wanted. The bartender was amazing with a great personality and great suggestions. Everyone I was with picked a pint of cider and I got flights. I originally picked 4 flights but we got upsold and i was glad we did. We got to try 6 ciders and they were amazing. I’m so glad i was able to try so many and I highly suggest getting as many flights as possible so you can try it all and figure out what you like. I am a huge fan of ciders so to try a bunch makes me happy. There is an additional location in victor so you have your choice of locations and it is totally worth trying out. I highly suggest it especially is you like ciders. They weren’t too sweet so of that is holding you back be sure to try it anyway because there is something for everyone!

Truly a hidden gem! Really, it’s pretty well hidden! We went to the tasting room on Mushroom Blvd in Henrietta. It’s more of an industrial area, so you wouldn’t notice the place if you weren’t looking for it. The interior is nice and cozy, and they had a decent music mix playing. There is a cork dartboard, so I was occupied while the ladies were gabbing. The cider is outstanding!!! One person got a flight, two got the blonde, and I had the cinna-toad. All that know me know that I am a beer geek, but I wouldn’t hesitate to slurp down more toad-juice!!! We are already making plans for our next visit!

Tucked away near the Regional Market, the Blue Toad Hard Cider distillery in Henrietta has tasty ciders and friendly staff to guide your visit. After enjoying the tasting room in Victor with friends, we decided a visit to Henrietta was required. The tasting room is off Mushroom Boulevard, in that maze of buildings behind the Regional Market. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, so it was fairly quiet. There was one other couple visiting the tasting room, which is a little on the small side. There’s an area with tables and darts off to the side of the bar, but I imagine once you get more than a dozen people in the space it starts to get crowded. We came to Henrietta primarily to taste the seasonal ciders, which they seem to run out of the fastest in Victor. Fortunately, the production facility is right next door, so the Henrietta tasting room isn’t going to run out of everything! My date and I split a flight of the two seasonal ciders. The Black Cherry was our favorite, hands down, and we took home a growler of that to enjoy later. Our server was very knowledgeable and clued us in to some of the finer points of cider and it’s production. Heading to Henrietta to do some shopping? Make Blue Toad a stop on your Sunday«to-do» list. With AJ’s Beer Warehouse and Home Depot around the corner, it can only make running errands that much more enjoyable.

Best cider in Rochester. Locally sourced and crafted. Been there several times, different selections each time. Their Golden russet and Triple hopping Toad are my favorites.

While BTC is in an odd location, it is still close to the hub of Jefferson Road in Henrietta and really not an issue. I failed to check their hours which made my first trip unsuccessful — their hours are very limited(only reason for losing a star), so plan ahead to make sure they’re open if you need to pick up some cider for dinner with friends. They make several varieties of hard cider that you can try before buying a 32 or 64 oz. growler. The bartender was kind enough to let me sample their whole selection before landing on the ROC Hard Amber. Slightly bitter like a beer, but crisp and refreshing as the apples shine through. A great Fall drink to add some local flavors to a meal and it was a hit with my friends. Will definitely be returning to support this new local cidery that is making a splash.

Blue Toad is a great, local cidery. This is their tasting room and it is located in Henrietta behind AJ’s Beer Warehouse. You can come in for a pint or try a flight of their different flavored ciders. What’s different and very interesting about Blue Toad is how they make their cider. They actually have an accelerated fermentation process that let’s them make an entire batch of hard cider in 10 days. They also use apples from NY farms, and depending on what time of year you try the cider it will taste different because they use the apples that are currently in season. The tasting room is kind of small, but there is a large table off to the side that can easily fit at least 10 people, and there is a 6-person bar in the front. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. One of my favorite features of Blue Toad is their growlers. They sell growlers for $ 16, but you can get it refilled for only $ 10, and they don’t discriminate. If you bring a growler that isn’t one of theirs, they will still fill it up for only $ 10. You’ll also want to add your name to their system because whenever you refill your growler 9 times, the 10th one is free. If you’re a fan of hard cider, like I am, and you want to try something local, stop out and give Blue Toad a taste.

This quaint tasting room is must this Fall. They have been doing so well, that the business just ordered three new fermenting machines. This place is tucked on Mushroom Blvd on the side of a long building. When you walk in there are four metal bar stools, and large barrels you can stand around. There is also one large table with stools in a room off of the bar, for larger groups. They have an old school dartboard in there with steel tips, and a chalkboard to keep score. To the important stuff: They sell growlers for $ 16, and then you can keep coming back and filling them up for $ 10. They also sell mini growlers, but they run out of those quickly. The bigger growler is a better value anyway. A growler fits about four pints, and they have a growler club. The tenth growler you get is free! If you are someone that never keeps track of your punch cards, they have a computer system that keeps track for you. Their«all the time» ciders are the Hard Amber, and the Flower City Blonde. The Hard Amber is my favorite, and is darker in color. The Blonde is a little sweeter. You can order a dirty blonde and get half and half. Their special now is the black cherry cider, and they have a pumpkin house porter on draft. Next week they will get the pumpkin cider. They have three different flight options for $ 5, $ 7 and $ 10. Each flight adds different amounts of specialty ciders depending on what you want. They come in 5 oz glasses. If you just want to try a pint, you can have a little sip of something before you try it. One Thursdays they have $ 2 pints with a growler purchase, and on special nights they sell a pint of cider and a slice of Salvatore’s pizza for $ 5. All of the apples come from Shute’s Farms in Webster. Some of the ciders that we had were made from apples that were picked only ten days ago. It doesn’t get much fresher than that.

Awesome hard cider! Went for a tasting(you can mix and match as to how many you want to try) and ended up trying the originals(Roc Hard Amber & Flower City Blonde) as well as two seasonal ciders, Pineapple and Tart Cherry. The classics are great; the Roc Hard Amber has a bold, almost caramel apple taste and the Flower City Blonde is lighter and a little crisper. The pineapple I was most skeptical of, but it was a very understated pineapple. It was well balanced and refreshing, and I’d get a growler of in the future for sure. The tart cherry lived up to its name, it definitely had a sour kick to it and was more tart than sweet. I went back for a mini growler fill(I love the mini 32 oz size — refills just $ 6 and they have a growler loyalty card) and they had swapped out for a Black Cherry seasonal cider which is probably my favorite so far. It has a beautiful rich dark pink color and the taste of cherry without being overly sweet. Goes down almost too smoothly! The tasting room is great, even if you don’t like cider too much(I still recommend you try Blue Toad’s however), they have beer on tap and you can get the Toad Lick, their version of a snake bite(½ cider, ½ beer).

The Blonde, Amber, and Pineapple ciders are all very good. The staff is quite friendly and knows their cider. Lots of seating if you go for a tasting with a large group. The also have a rewards program, fill your growlers enough and you’ll get a free refill.

Blue Toad Hard Cider is a little hard to find — it just seems to be in a weird location. We went around 6pm on a Friday and the place was dead. But — the ciders were awesome! Very crisp and easy to drink. I can’t wait to go back to get a refill on my growler!

Like it! Kind of an odd industrial location tucked away off of Clay Rd in Henrietta… Very local… we chatted with one of the owners, who was really cool. 3 ciders available when we went and they were all quite nice… fresh, balanced – hitting that sweet but not overly so and not too dry. Definitely refreshing in the warmer days. You can have your cider there(dart board is there too!), or fill a growler or grumbler. A few of the local places also have their products on tap. Worth heading off the beaten path if you enjoy cider!

Not crazy about the location BUT they are opening a satellite bar inside of Schutt’s Apple Mill by the end of May! The amber cider with butterscotch in it… amaze! $ 10 for a small growler well worth it in my opinion. So good!

Like craft beer? Like to sample vino? Now it’s time to tickle your tastebuds with local, fresh hard cider. Right now they have two options on draft the roc hard Amber & the flower city blonde The blond is sweet & easy to drink The Amber is smooth and has a more wintery feel. Tucked away in Henrietta the atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and really comfortable. I’m looking forward to see what else they have in store.

$ 5 Tasting — Decent portions of their Amber and Blonde varieties of hard cider. They are both wonderfully carbonated, fresh, crisp — Will be even better when we get some warm weather! Took home $ 10 Mini Growler — Highly Recommended! Tricky to find — Mushroom Blvd off of Clay Rd then its located behind the Korean Restaurant/Bowling Supply location.
