Still make pretty good pizza. I think. It’s been hard to get, the last few weeks. They have apparently changed their hours, and are now open 11 – 2 and 5 – 10. We called tonight at 5 and got ring-no-answer. Called back at 5:15 and were told, there was nobody there to take an order for delivery. WTF?

Ordered a simple pizza & wings two weeks ago from Cobb’s Hill, but the woman on the phone neglected to ask me how I wanted to pay for the order. When the delivery driver showed up, he looked at me like an alien when I told him I needed to pay with a credit card. The driver gave me my order and left, but I needed to call the restaurant back so they could run my card. And worse yet — the driver had to come back to my apartment to have me sign the receipt. He showed up(for the second time) about 45 minutes later. The«medium» wings I ordered were also bone-dry… I literally made my own sauce to put on them. Overall, it felt like I was doing a lot of work for pretty low quality takeout.

Food is OK, but service is inexplicable. I think they want to go out of business, so I’ll help them out with a review.

Corn On The Cobbs Pizza is a little Over The Hill, as in, it’s getting old. I definitely didn’t love this pizza, it was very average, but since it’s family owned, average pizza scores a healthy 4⁄5. There’s an entire county near Atlanta named after this Pizza, but I’m not sure why, because it didn’t blow me away. Maybe it’s because Atlanta doesn’t do Pizza particularly well? Idk. Slices are cheap and they’ll heat them up if you ask, which I like. But I wouldn’t come here again. Still, give it a try and see what you think.

I’ve been frequenting this establishment for about fourteen or fifteen years and in the time frame, I have only ordered their eggplant parmesan. It is amazingly delicious and my absolute favorite in the world. My family has also ordered a variety of foods over the years including pizza, steak sandwiches, chicken parm and much more. Everything has been good with the exception of the pizza. I’ve had better pizza elsewhere. If you haven’t been here before, you order your food from the desk, grab your own silverware, your fountain drink and pick your own booth. They usually bring your food to your table. After that you’re pretty much on your own. In previous years, we would bring our dishes back to the front desk, but lately we just leave them on the table or they will come grab them. This is a family owned and run business. The husband usually hangs out in the front bench and the wife often takes orders from behind the counter. They are a nice couple. One time, my husband and I opted to share a fountain soda and the wife lectured us about sharing fountain sodas…(apparently we can’t get refills because it would be unethical). This caused some concern because it seemed a little ridiculous especially being that we have been patrons for over fifteen years on a very regular basis. There are many, many eateries which are much more popular on Park Ave. This is unlike any other restaurant on Park Ave and it is much less pretentious and less expensive. If in the area, it is worth the visit. Dress is casual and dining is casual.

Don’t come here early in the day. You’ll get leftover pizza from the night before… and it’s nasty. Honestly ruined pizza for me for a little while. We were also overcharged by $ 5. I feel like they try to get away with what they can because other reviews mention being overcharged as well. The pizza is ok when it’s new, nothing special though.

I do not know where to begin. I came in here with friends to check it out. The pizza did not taste good and was over priced. The place looks run down and dirty. Do not use the bathroom there. What upset me most was that they did not accept cards. Luckly I had cash. But it was a very skechy place. The worker seemed unpleasant. Overall I will never go in there again, it was a mistake. They also charge you extra if you buy soda because of the bottle… who does that though? Clearly Cobbs pizza does.

I have gotten take out a few times from Cobbs Hill Pizza and it has always been good. There menu is on but each time I pay the price is way more expensive than what is advertised. The discrepancy is disappointing because you expect to pay one price and it is more than excepted. The interior is outdated so not a place for a date or for a ladies dinner night.

I came here recently with a couple of coworkers to have a quick lunch. We called ahead and ordered a pizza so it would be ready for us as soon as we got there to help with the lunch break rushing. The timing was perfect of them having our pizza done when we got there so we were able to just get our drinks and go right to our table. The fountain drinks were almost all out so the only things really available were canned sodas which was fine. The place isn’t fancy and is kind of run down but that’s okay. The staff was all friendly and our pizza was good. I don’t think that I would come here on my own or with Adam just because it isn’t our type of place but since I work really close and this is easy I certainly see myself coming back to eat with coworkers.

Reasonably priced, slightly above average pasta. It isn’t Mario’s level but you aren’t paying Mario’s prices. You get more than what you pay for here. The garlic dinner bread is to die for and its free with a meal. You can sit outside too on a nice day and people watch those walking on park. The people who work here are friendly and courteous.

This might be my favorite place to eat on Park Ave and its a shame more people don’t know about it. I enjoy everything on the menu. best stromboli in Rochester, solid plate, excellent wings

I came here for a quick meal. I got the calamari and my friend got a slice of pizza. The slice of pizza was HUGE. As for the calamari, it was soggy and disgusting. The sauce that it came with was great, a little spicy, but that calamari actually made me sick! I experienced stomach pains several hours later.

I went in for a slice of cheese pizza as advertised on their online menu, priced at $ 1.50-$ 1.75. When I arrived, the cashier charged me 3.75. Then she told me that I could not use credit or debit for purchases under $ 5. I asked her to add a bottle of water. My total came to $ 4.86 and she still wouldn’t allow me to use my card unless she just rounded up the total to an even $ 5. I was blown away that she even had the audacity to ask that aside from not providing good customer service. Needless to say, I walked out and ordered food elsewhere. Never again.

Cobbs Hill Pizza holds a special place in my heart. I remember walking here when I lived on Park Ave to grab a slice of pizza or a sub when I didn’t feel like making a run to Wegmans. I suggested to my bf that we go here to get a sub, after years away. I really talked the place up, but bringing someone who had never been to the restaurant really made me take a hard look at the food I was eating, instead of letting nostalgia override critical analysis. I got a chicken finger sub(for old time sake). I thought it was as good as I remembered, but the bf did point out that I covered it in Frank’s Red Hot to infuse more flavor. Touché bf, touché. The roll was nice and crusty though, and the sub was big(I have lunch for tomorrow!) The staff are also super friendly and helpful. They stopped by the table to ask how the meal was(it’s more or less counter service), and I heard no less than two patron’s thank the cashier for the great service and food. It has a nice cozy feel to me, but perhaps that is just the nostalgia talking.

My girlfriend was reminiscing about the great places she would eat at when she lived on Park Ave. so when we were looking for a place to grab some grub, she suggested Cobbs Hill Pizza. I’ve had the pizza from Cobbs Hill several times and I’m usually a fan of New York syle pizza, but Cobbs Hill has always left me wanting. When I heard that the restaurant also offered a mean chicken finger sandwich, I figured it was worth a second chance. We ended up ordering two entrees and a basket of fries. I went with the Steak Deluxe and she ordered the chicken finger sub. To put the word«deluxe» after the steak is a complete misnomer. When I think of a cheesesteak, or a steak sandwich, I’m thinking of shaved steak overflowing from a decent hard roll. The bun his nearly all of the meat, and the meat that was inside was pretty tasteless. I ended up resorting to ketchup as a means of infusing more flavor into the sandwich. As for the chicken finger sandwich, it was just as lackluster as the steak sandwich; breaded chicken fingers with lettuce on a plain roll. Dousing the chicken with wing sauce was the only thing to add real flavor to the sandwich. The fries were pretty overcooked and were dry throughout the basket. I can understand the nostalgic aspect of the place for her, but I was sadly disappointed. If the prices actually matched the food you get, I don’t think I would be as critical, but in no way do the prices match up with what you get. Also, the staff at the counter were incredibly friendly and willing to chat us up as we ordered. Unilocal’s rating of «Meh. I’ve had better» is the perfect description for this place.

Cobb’s Hill is a place that I would only pop into when everywhere on Park is slammed on the weekends, we have a movie to make and just need to eat something quickly. A couple of us got a pizza here the other night, and it was just okay. It is NY style, with thick crust, and thin sauce. The manicotti shells are overcooked, and the pasta dishes aren’t great. The service is horrendous. I asked the employees if we just seat ourselves, and they nodded. I wasn’t sure how it worked at first, but after waiting awhile we just went up to the counter and grabbed menus ourselves, then went up to order ourselves. They only have about 5 beers to choose from, and if you wanted wine with your pizza they sell the mini bottles of Sutter Home white zinfadel… and then a soda machine. The pizza took awhile to come out, and it was bland. I am glad we got onions on it for some flavor. All in all, I try to avoid this last resort spot.

Pizza here is good if you want New York style. This means greasier and not as much sauce and different-tasting dough. If you do get it I recommend getting a pie made fresh because it’s not as good after sitting out. My parents few up in NYC and Dad loves NY style pizza; he likes Cobb’s Hill pizza when he has a craving. The main thing is you need to know what to expect. NY style is quite different from what is usually served at our other Upstate pizza spots. None of us(mom, dad, brother, sister & husband) think their other entrees are that good, so we don’t get them. My husband and I prefer Pontillo’s in Bushnell’s Basin(it is not New York style, not nearly as greasy and seems fresher) and we are willing to drive the 30 – 35 minutes round trip to pick it up rather than the 15 minutes over to Park Ave and back.

Cobbs Hill Italian Bistro is located in a strip plaza in the busy section of Park Ave. I’ve been there a few times now, and have had a variety of things off of the menu. The food is always good, but not really anything spectacular. They have a full takeout menu, filled with everything from Italian pasta standards, to thin crust pizza, to subs, to trash plates. I have to say, I that I have never had an issue with service here in any of my visits. Everyone here has always been friendly, and prompt, and courteous to me, but that is probably because I’m so good looking and charismatic. Ha! The pizza is very good. Not spectacular, but very good thin crust style pizza. The trash plate is very good as well. the home fries are always super crispy, I think they might use bacon fat or something, because they are super tasty! The mac salad is better than most, but the meat sauce lacks punch and character, it’s pretty lackluster. The Penne Rappi is a good choice. Lots of broccoli, spinach, and olives, but it could use way more garlic. After I eat a garlic based pasta dish, when I go to kiss a woman, I wanna be punched in the face because my breath reeks of garlic! Oh, wait… that usually happens even if my breath doesn’t reek of garlic. Never mind then! Parking is available in front of the stores plus a decently sized lot next to the plaza. Sometimes it does fill up though, as people use the lot for more than just the stores in the plaza.
