Crap service and music isn’t so good usually but they make really good drinks and the patio area is nice.

Had a great time there listening to a great 70s/80s Cover Band well into the night. They have a great cocktail menu and a very good Craft Microbrew selection on tap. The great thing about this place is that you don’t have to get in your car and drive home after drinking if you are staying at the El Dorado adjoining hotels. I would definitely go back here.

I feel remiss in not having written my review of this place. We come here often for two very good reasons, one is because we have a friend that stays at the Legacy once a month and this place is a nice location to chat, drink, and catch up midweek. The midweek bartender remembers us and our drinks and is very attentive! The second reason is Superbad. This band plays here about once every 6 weeks and we make an effort to try to make at least one of the weekend’s shows. The band is great, playing music from every era and genre that everybody loves! The lead singer is super personable and engaging with the audience. He’s a true showman so be prepared for some raunchy humor and a lot of bare chest! Last I checked we’re all adults, in a bar, so none of this should offend or surprise you, it’s actually hilarious and packs this bar to the gills! Wether you want to dance or sit and watch, this place is a great experience. Unfortunately, these nights are usually super busy and service slips(the reason for the 4 instead of 5 rating). Drinks are difficult to come by and seating is at a premium so get here early!

We had a couple of drinks and they were really good. I recommend the berry blaster if you like sweet stuff. Worth the money, drinks are about $ 8 each.

My first time at Rum Bullions since I’ve lived in Reno(I knowwww who am I?) and it was a blast. A group of us girls celebrated my long-time friend’s graduation for her Masters. We hung out and listened to the live band(what you typically do at a bar, obviously) and the drinks were great. I’m all about the fruity foo-foo fancy drinks so it was pretty much right up my alley. I enjoyed the fishbowl cocktail and my rum runner the most. The bartender was friendly and pretty cool. He didn’t make us feel like he was giving us half-assed attention when we’d go up to order. The best part there was a guy who was totally getting down to the music. I heard he’s a regular — so on that note, I’d return just to watch his moves. A chick joined in on the fun and between the both of them, it brought many laughs from everyone surrounding the dance floor. That was my entertainment right there. I thought the band was pretty good, too. No complaints for me, so it would be somewhere I wouldn’t skip when I’m back at the Silver Legacy.

Cody was awesome! Very friendly and attentive! Great bartending personality! We will definitely be back. The atmosphere is lively and the drinks are amazing. If you are looking for a fun night out in Reno this is the place to be, ask for Cody to make your drinks and tip him well!

UnilocalCHECKINOFFERFORFREEDRINKS! otherwise its meh. But hey free drinks are never a bad thing and it’s a great way to start off a night of gambling carousing or being some other type of debaucherous dork. I personally thought this was a great offer and I would never have set foot inside of this bar otherwise. It is located within the Silver Legacy Casino so when you are cruising from Circus Circus to either the Silver Legacy or the El Dorado, you can stop grab a drink on the house and continue on. Definitely handy in that respect. I believe that they wanted a fun tropical vibe to this bar, but honestly I just am not feeling that in RNO… None the less the bartenders were ready and when they saw the Unilocal check in dealio jumped into motion and hooked up the free drank made a bit of small talk and then went on about their day. So yeah definitely worth stopping for a freebee, otherwise, «move along, move along»

On Halloween, Mike and I decided to go out on the town seeing as how Taven, our son was in Disneyland with his Great Grandma! «Let’s go out babe! I wanna dance!» Among seeing the ghouls and ghosts that line the streets of Reno, that particular night is the best night to hit the night clubs downtown! Dressed up like a pink fairy, and Mike a fireman, we hit the casinos. Our first stop was Rum Bullions where a live band was playing classic oldies songs and and the whole place was alive and crawling with characters from every bazar-o movie you could think of. Big Hero Six was there, neatest outfit ever, and of course flash was there dancing the night away like no one was watching… I like that this place wasn’t overwhelming. It was packed but we were still able to walk through to the back and find a seat… the seating is surprising in the back! Look up to see the neatest scene around! A huge dome with projections lighting it up and a huge structure covered in cog wheels was really cool! A waitress came by as soon as we sat down although we had already waited at the bar for our drinks. A banana, coconut cocktail called Bahama Mama was perfectly made and tasted great! If there are any critiques it would be that when I checked in on Unilocal,it offered me an expired Fireball offer… would be nice to see a new offer on the page!

Small dance floor, overpriced drinks, and the seating(smoking?) area has more room, but you couldn’t hear the music too well, and it’s too… uhm, smoky. But, this IS a casino, so that comes with the territory, I came here for the 80s band(don’t judge) and enjoyed that for a little bit until the crowd got too weird for me.

Love this place, this has been one of my goto bars for nearly a decade. The bartenders have changed a bit over the years but this has always been a fun bar. They have different events on certain nights of the week including bar games, DJ trivia, bingo, and they have live music fri/sat. All the game nights you can win bar tabs and prizes. If you like fun and creative bartenders this is the place to go!

Gotta say, I love this place. I’ve been here a few times before and really enjoyed the live music they play, and the crowd that comes out! Last night was the icing on the cake! After a mishap at another establishment we decided to come here to try their fish bowl drinks for my friends 21st birthday! Good thing we did because the drinks were delicious, and the company was great. I really enjoyed the bartenders, especially DeeAnna! She made our drinks and let us know that she was new. Well you wouldn’t have guessed she was, because she was just awesome! She made my friends birthday truly special, and I can’t thank her enough for that. I can’t wait to come back soon for some more Jell-O shot shooters and great times!

Karaoked here once when I was passing through for work one week, it was pretty interesting. The guy hosting is a riot and the crowd seems to adore him. There is a little elderly couple that comes in and dances so sweetly, apparently everyone knows him as Mondo. There is a very large gong on the stage that you are instructed to bit with a big dog bone if you don’t like the particular singer for what ever reason. I only sang once but I did not get gonged thankfully. Although who would gong someone singing Tom Petty is beyond me lol Drinks were cheap and the waitresses were pretty. If I’m ever back in the area I will go again.

If I could give this place –5 stars I would, definitely! I came here two nights ago with my girlfriend to celebrate our new arrival moving to Reno and we came to The Rum Bullion where there was a live band that played 80’s music and me and my girlfriend started dancing after having a couple shots with the people standing next to us at the bar. Being wasted my girlfriend and I were dancing and having a good time when all of a sudden I was attacked by a couple bouncers, told I was leaving then forcibly dragged out and thrown in detention. I was roughed up by at least 4 bouncers. After spending the next day and a half in jail, now two days later my whole body hurts and I have cuts and bruises all over. Too top it off, my only charge being trespassing and a $ 500. bail The Rum Bullion over charged my girlfriend, x6 extra drinks! Luckily she was able to get the money reimbursed.

A really fun and festive place the live bands and dj keep this place hoppin! It’s a bar inside a casino«Silver Legacy» so know drink prices are going to be alittle absurd at times, but other than that a nice place to hangout and dance if that’s what you want to do.

The bingo nights here are fun you can win show tickets and random prizes. Not to mention its free to play. Saturday nights they have live music and attract a decent amount of people. A fairly mixed crowd don’t be surprised to see people 20 to 30 years older dancing and getting down. Better than Brew Brothers when its cracking. Last thing to note they have beer pong in outside area.

OMG, I had a blast here! A girlfriend coerced me into coming to Reno to hustle for tips at a biker rally… only the dumb ninny got confused on the dates, and made me come up two days early :/D’oh! To pass the time, one night we came to Rum Bullions with a couple of bikers — one of whom she’d been leading around by the nose since October, and was unsuccessfully trying to get in her pants… and his friend, who now tried to get into MY pants by default. Lucky for him, I was wearing assless chaps… but guess what? He still failed!(I later found out he had 8 kids by 2 women, so I’m glad I stayed the course and fended him off… no matter how cute he was)(and he WAS cute). Anyway, for lack of anything else to do, we came here to Rum Bullions, thinking they had karaōke… but instead, it was trivia night, hosted by this adorable young Mormon-ish looking future Senatorial candidate-type named Forrest. Either way, after 3 Bahama Mamas… I ended up having the most fun night EVER! The bikers ended up being super smart, and when combined with my brains and my girlfriend’s savvy, we ended up winning the whole thing and getting a free $ 40 dinner voucher. YAY! The whole thing felt VERY cruise ship — I could have sworn I was on a Carnival cruise. But either way… I would definitely come here again, just to relive the memories.

I always have a great time seeing these guys, «Superbad,» here. They ROCK the 80’s and bring everyone along for the ride, screaming the whole for the whole ride. Such an incredibly good time and a great night with some old and new friends. How could it not be a good time?

I have been here several times, and anytime I stay at El Dorado in Reno, I come in for a drink. My first visit was during my college days at Chico state, so every time I come here, I remember FUNHAPPY drinking memories, being young at 21, 22. Recently when I came in, I ordered The Scorpion drink because my birthday is in October and frankly, it sounded good on the menu lol. Yeah, had a kick to it and I enjoyed drinking that drink. It was nice to be there :) Cool place, neat atmosphere, bartender was great too!

Tacky, touristy — and tasty! An island paradise in the middle of classy classy Reno. Located on the walkway attaching Circus Circus and El Dorado to Silver Legacy, Rum Bullions is dead center near Silver’s insane center spectacle. We hit the bar around 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, and were treated to friendly and quick cocktails by supercute bartender Cody, and great tunes playing overhead. My mai tai was YUMMY and went down quick, no thanks to TWO rum-soaked cherries on top — yowza. Drinks were delicious, a rum soaked good time was had by all. We also just had to sample their jell-o shots, served up cleverly in large plastic hypodermic needles. Photo op! Watermelony(I think — does it really matter?), and yummy fun! A very fun escape from the casino chaos, and zero complaints about the cocktails. Stop in for a drink or 5, and continue to buzz your way through your day — I look forward to returning for the flaming kava kava, and some live music!
