Stephanie did an amazing weave and cut! Just love it! I have used this salon for a few years. I highly recommend Jenni or Stephanie. Great pricing too!

I went in for a hair cut as a walk-​in, my stylist Courtney was great! She helped me decide what to do with my hair, which came out the way I imagined it. Cost is very affordable too, I was accommodated in a very timely manner (waited for 2 min)! This place is superb ;)

Grrrrrrr I am so upset with the way I was treated after a perm and a butcher of a hair trim!!!
¹⁄₃ of my hair is not curled at all and the rest looks like it was pin curled. The perm is more an «S» pattern not a curl. 2 days after my perm I washed my hair and went to just pick it out what a nightmare!!! The lady cut my hair after the perm to the point of only half of what I walked in there with. I think she did this to get me back in within 3 months.
I actually had all my old perm cut off a month before and had an exelant hair cut, now I have too short of layers and the right side has hair 1 inch longer than anywhere else on my head. The left side has a huge hole. WTH I TOLD HER IT MIGHT NEED TO BE TRIMMED AT THE CROWN JUST TO EVEN IT UP… NOT DESTROY THE GREAT CUT I HAD THAT COST 25.00.
I took pictures where I could show them but they wanted me to come in and have it FIXED. I was in WA state since my job is truck driving. I might get back to Reno within a month.
I paid good hard earned money and this is the crap I am having to deal with now… it will be 6 months before I can have this mess grown out. I am so upset with the lady that did this shotty job, I thought after she told me she had 10 yrs experience I would not have to worry. But was I wrong.
I EVEN GAVE HER A $ 15.00 TIP. I WILL NEVER EVER TIP A HAIRSTYLIST MORE THAN 5.00 EVER AGAIN.
I only gave one star cause I had to or not able to post. Minus 2 star’s for the service I got and one for the managers handling of my complaint.
I love the Fantastic Sam’s in TN, AZ and WY but this one and the one in Spanish Springs are to be stayed away from when getting a perm or decent haircut.
I was told the owners own both stores.
I want a full refund not FIXED.

7 years ago, this Location was the only place I was devoted to because of their fabulous colorist Eric, a talented hair magician. But he went into the military and my next attempt to have color done just did not work– Pumpkinhead is a movie, not a desired haircolor for me.
Fast forward to years later, and I’m much older– and look it. My hair is long, faded with a lot of outgrowth of my natural blonde-​grey (now) hair and a lot of faded redness from my own at home dye attempts. This mop wasn’t going to impress any potential new employers, so I had to act fast. I crossed my fingers, and they were able to fit me in. When I arrived, I was checked in by the woman who said she was playing receptionist and I tried to explain I wanted a color weave– darker overall with lighter caramel highlights. They explained the pricing and fully understanding that my hair is quite long now, I said, «Yes, please, let’s do it. Please. Yes. Let’s go.» And so we did. Elysse (I hope that’s spelled correctly) went back to mix the color (and she had to use a LOT of color!). For a long time that seemed to pass very quickly because she was quite entertaining while she was painting– she painted and foiled and painted and painted some more. The color was rinsed, but it turned out the blonde parts were a little on the too blonde side and the dark was a bit darker than I expected (though it was wet, so that’s not a good way to judge it.). She noticed before I did and almost immediately put a toner on to bring the blonde down a bit. About 15 minutes after that, I sat back in the chair while she trimmed and blew out my new hair. I have to say, it wasn’t exactly what I expected, BUT it was better than I could have imagined. I thought the darkness would wash out my pale anemic face– but it actually seemed to take some of the tired and aged look away from the face I came in with. And as it dried, I found myself becoming more and more in love with my new hair. The highlights were even and not tooooo light, the dark was darker than I had anticipated– but it actually worked better than my first choice and I’m glad that Elysse made the suggestion. I walked out of the store with a new look, fantastic looking hair and a big smile. She was a very personable stylist, skilled and engaging and talented and because of her personality, it really turned my day around. I am thrilled with this look and I am looking forward to going back to her again when it needs a touch up or in case I feel like something different. There was zero disappointment and I am Grateful that my expectations or hopes were far exceeded!!! I highly recommend this stylist.

I have been going to this particular establishment for over 2 years. I’ve had 2 different hairstylist from there.
One in particular hairstylist, Sandra has been truly amazing .
I have had many different stylist that have called in sick that my appt had to be rescheduled or had cut my hair wrong permed my hair where my scalp was burned.
The only reason why I would go to Fantastic SAMs is that Sandra was there!
She always seemed to put a smile on my face. Very meticulous about how hair was styled and color. My appt. was always made with her. Even when I was 15 min late she would always be there for me.
I was rather surprised on several occasions
sitting there getting my hair done how chaotic it would be in there and how I felt lots of the stylist were being rush to get customers in. Comments that were made by the manager Eva, letting the stylists know that they were short staffed and they have people waiting to get there hair done. I’m thinking I’m getting my hair color and cut I’m a paying customer please do not rush my stylist, thats inappropriate. If I had a choice I would not go there when Eva was there, she very good at inappropriate gossip. It’s hurtful and intimidating .
I’ve always have asked for Sandra and no one else. She is the reason why I always have gone there.

My husband and I both have very curly hair, which can be unruly. Eva does a GREAT job for both of us. All we tell her is the results we want and she does a fabulous job. It’s not often I’ve gotten a hair cut that looks great even as it’s growing out.

I love Fantastic Sam’s and I especially love Brooke! I have been a regular customer at many of the Reno salons, Revelations, Rumors, Shear Bliss, and found Brooke by accident. How lucky am I! She is fantastic, listens to what I want and makes it happen. She does my daughter’s hair also and we are both extremely happy with our hair. She is great with color! WOO-​HOO! As good as it gets!!!

This particular Fantastic Sam’s is the only chain salon that I have frequented. I’m usually skeptical of places like this since some of the stylists don’t seem to care about appearances (strange since they work in the BEAUTY industry), and often i do not get what i asked for. I love my stylist there, Brooke, she is super professional and clean. Plus, she always does exactly what i ask and with great results.
My only complaints would be that the young receptionist that is often there is rude, unhelpful, and very harsh with customers. There is also a lot of inappropriate talk and language used there by much of the staff and it doesn’t seem like anyone is in charge or managing these situations.
