Rebecca Mcmillion did an outstanding job on my hair for a very important event. At first I thought the color was too light for my skin type, but I listened to her and everywhere I went I got compliments. She’s been doing my hair for a couple of years now and I couldn’t be happier.

Thank you so much to Parris! I had tried coloring my hair myself and Parris was so knowledgable and helpful in fixing my hair color. Very happy with how my cut and color turned out!

This review is long overdo since I have been a client of Katie’s for about 6 – 7 years. She’s awesome, does great cuts and color and it’s actually a fun experience chatting with Katie, Darlene and Kim and all the other really nice employees at Sapphire. Everyone has an off day and Katie is a busy mom who works very hard. I find it kind of unacceptable in reading a previous (negative) post just because she forgot to return a phone call. Sheesh. Give her a break — she’s only human. Katie is a great gal! Very nice and professional and extremely accommodating Love her!
For pedis and manis Aimee is amazing! She does great work and is very artistic. Thanks Aimee for the awesome pedi today. :)

I went in there twice for a demi-​permanent with Katie last summer/​fall; both times the color came out orange-​ish. I was going to try a third time and called Katie for an appointment; she said she’d call me back asap as soon as she got into the office but never did. Not returning a call is kind of rude — won’t bother with them again.

Kim and Katie are the best I just loved the way they cut my hair. I went from just an average looking joe to a handsome young man. I’ve had both cut my hair and yes they cut men’s hair very well. Also the ver y nice lady by the name of dawn who answered the phone was very helpful. She stayed on the line to direct me until I found the place. What a doll. Not only are they very friendly but damn those ladies are beautiful.
I am one happy guy feeling and looking like a million bucks.

I entered a raffle at a fundraiser & won a gift certificate for a pedicure (valued at $ 50) with Beth Bertonneau. I waited 5 months to make an apt for this pedicure, as it had been winter and wanted to wait for nicer weather, so I could enjoy my polished toes. There was no expiration date written on this prize.
I was at Sapphire Salon leaving an apt with my esthetician, & stopped by who I was introduced to as Beth. I told her I had a gift certificate I had won in the fundraiser, & she was not welcoming at all. She immediately wanted to know what the expiration date was for the pedicure. I told her there wasn’t one. She was very resistant, & made me feel stupid for wanting to redeem my prize. She didn’t appear to want to honor this prize she had donated to the raffle. She told me to text her because she was busy right then.
I text her with my name, & obviously #, telling her I was the one who stopped by her station. She didn’t respond. I tried again 5 days later & she asked what days/​times worked for me because she needed to «coordinate it with the pedi book.» I text her my schedule & she didn’t respond. Two days later I text asking if she was able to find an apt for me. She responded that she was really full, so could we wait til «late next week?» I said absolutely, but could we get something in the books now for when you free up. She didn’t respond. A few weeks later (because I feel like I’m pestering her at this point) I text saying I’m going to try to get an apt one more time, then I’ll give up. She never bothered to respond to this text either.
Why would you donate a prize to a fundraiser only to make a person feel like a bother, as well as not honor the gift certificate? From the minute I first talked to Beth about an apt, she was unwelcoming and the whole experience felt awkward. I would have felt like a bother sitting in her chair receiving this (supposed to be relaxing) pedicure.

Stephanie McElreath is an amazing nail tech. She’s sweet and does exactly what you want! I went to her prior to my wedding so I could try out different colors on my nails and she was sweet and patient with me every session. When she did my nails for me 3 days before my wedding, we talked about what I might want and she even brought up Pinterest to help me think of something! She is really accommodating and she even went in on a few Fridays to do my nails, when that’s usually her day off. I’ve been to a lot of people to get my nails done because I can never find someone I like. Stephanie did a gel overlay on my tiny nails and made them look beautiful and not thick like most nail technicians have in the past. Thank you Stephanie! So glad you were recommended to me! Rebecca McMillion has been doing my hair for about 6 years. She is incredible with blonde highlights and layering on both long and short hair seeing as I have had both. I’ve really appreciated her honesty too since she’s talked me out of some horrendous trends that I was considering doing to my hair, like telling me I shouldn’t put black underneath my blonde because my overall look is too natural for that :)
I’ve had facials by Farrah as well, and I always walk out feeling like mush because it’s so relaxing.
Overall everything is clean and well run with a very attentive staff.

I went to this salon for a special occasion that meant a lot to me. I had a full set of gel nails done here because it came highly recommended for my situation The set came out horrible all of the nails were different lengths and dipped in and crooked. I didnt notice til I was at my special event and cried because they looked horrible. I was so mad that I didnt even call to have then fixed. I went to a hole in the wall nail salon and got the best set of my life.

I needed another haircut before my standard once a year mark so I dialed up Sapphire Salon and made an appointment to see Parris. She had an opening right after I got off of work and I was super stoked! I had only been here once before, so my expectation of her remembering me was slim to none (After all it had been about 10 months and I don‘t remember doing anything memorably crazy then). I wouldn‘t be offended. This lady probably cuts tons of manes every week so I wouldn‘t be upset in the least. I got there about 10 minutes til and hung out in the lounge area. Everyone upfront was super nice this time. Last time they seemed more standoffish but there was actual smiles and talking today. Plus, plus. Now, I didn‘t really come here for the small talk or anything like that. I am pretty anti-​salon establishment in general but somehow found my way back here to get in with Parris who blew my mind (and my hair’s mind) last time. So, Parris comes out and she is super friendly as always, gives me a half hug, and asks how I‘m doing. Good, fine, cut my hair. She asks what we’re doing, and I show her a picture (because I‘m a prepared mofo all the time). Anyways, she starts talking about how short we cut my hair last time, and how she told me it would grow a substantial amount by the holidays (this is true, and I definitely had a little flutter inside because I like being remembered and this made me want to hand over all my money before the cut had even began). So, once again, Parris delivered a great cut, fun and funny chit chat, and all within half an hour. I am so pleased with my hair, it looks fantastic, and I am so happy I decided to come back here. I do the whole «one night stand» thing with salons usually for one reason or another but I think I have actually found my hair its home while in Reno. Thank you Parris at Sapphire Salon. You are amazing, funny, and super sweet.

I have had the pleasure of going to this salon and was greeted and treated very professionally. There is a young lady there Paige that does outstanding color, and hair extensions and is very reasonable priced too.

What a great salon! Everyone here is so friendly and accomodating and they all are so talented and hip! Relaxing and soothing atmosphere and Haley and Rhonda are the BEST!
