Man this space is crazy cursed. How many coffee joints have gone through? THe subsequent broadway barisata dies too. Used to get their various fruit smoothies which were decent. Never did get to try their coffee or tea. The teen girls here who worked the counter were either friendly or didnt give a damn. Lets hope the next biz is good and sticks around for a while

I did not try the baked goods that this place seems to specialize in, but the«Cobb Salad» I had was horrible. It was chopped ham and cheese on lettuce — no blue cheese, no chicken, no bacon, no avocado… in others words, not a Cobb Salad. After wating 15 minutes for it left me just a couple minutes to wolf it down, before having to ask for the iced tea I had ordered… give me a break, 15 minutes + for an iced tea when there was at most one or two people there is pretty bad. Overall I just didn’t feel like this was the sort of place you’d want to come for lunch, or if you have limited time. People running it were nice, but just seemed very inexperienced.

The new owners have made this place awesome! It is beautiful on the inside, the coffee is brewed perfectly and the food is lovely. I like to come here on Saturday mornings and even though it is out of my way Casandra and Ray make it worth it. I enjoy a fresh breakfast sandwich with a side of charming conversation. I highly recommend this place if one is looking for a quaint, local spot to read, meet with a friend, or prepare yourself for the rest of the world.

It’s extremely delicious! Just fantastic! The mocha frappé is wonderful! Cold and refreshing. The lady is nice and offers good service. The sandwiches are healthy and great for lunch. The smoothies are also refreshing! There are more too!

I’ll be honest and say that the boba milk tea isn’t spectacular but this is just one of those places that’s convenient and comfortable to hang out at. The actual bobas were a bit too soft and the milk tea was a bit watery. I imagined she used a quick mix of some sort, which is understandable considering that the café doesn’t get too much traffic. My friends say the smoothies aren’t too bad. Regardless of how YOU feel, the woman there will always be ecstatic to serve you.

I’ve come here several times usually just for the tapioca drinks, so I can only review those. I like their taro tapioca. I don’t like their mocha, which tastes like one of those hot chocolate packets mixed with milk. One downside is that when I order the large cup I don’t get enough tapioca balls. It does taste very milky and artificial, but sometimes I need that sugar rush, and the crash that comes soon afterwards. Plus it’s only $ 4 for the large. They have a frequent buyer’s card you have to ask for and remember to bring in. Every 5 drinks you get a free one. Not too bad. They do accept credit cards, but you need to purchase $ 4 or more.

Quick and simple: don’t make the mistake I did. Don’t bother going in here. That is, unless you like smoothies from a milk jug that are more sugar and artificial color than anything good for you. I went here wanting a yummy, refreshing smoothie. I figured since smoothie was in the name, it had to be legit-ish. Briefly Unilocaled it, and saw the three stars. I was desperate so I figured I could at least walk in and look at the menu. Should have known when there was a kiwi option. I ordered something with passion fruit and mango, with strawberry added. Can’t see over the counter so I really have no idea what was put in my cup, but I can tell you it tasted like pure sugar, pre-Jamba Juice World Take Over. I wish I had just gone to that damn chain, at least then I could have blamed the lack-luster flavor on the fruits being out of season. JUSTDON’T GO.

I was walking around downtown waiting for traffic court to open and decided i badly need a latte so i decided to try this place. The prices here are good($ 3.99) for a turkey sandwich but unfortunately its the kind of sandwich that i could have made at home. The lettuce was iceberg, not romaine, uggh. Don’t come here for groumet sandwiches. The coffee wasn’t special but the asian lady that was running the shop was very friendly. The island décor is simple with tikki torches and bamboo paneling. It’s pretty dead around lunch so if you’re in hurry, you won’t have to wait and you can sit inside. But i wouldn’t come back.

I did not like my blueberry smoothy at all. It was disgustingly sweet and had absolutely no blueberries in it. I paid over $ 4 for a medium size drink and all I had was syrup. I tried their honey dew melon tapioca once and it tasted ok. However, their smoothies were gross. Please do not order blueberry smoothies from here. If you have to try this place, order something else.

This place isn’t much to look at – it’s mostly just your average café with a selection of baked goods, smoothies, and bottled drinks – but in spite of that it deserves four stars because of the friendly service and their willingness/ability to make me bubble tea using soy milk instead of actual milk. It’s a bit pricier for bubble tea than in the city(or just anywhere outside the Peninsula) but the non-dairy option alone keeps me coming back. Plus you can get a «buy five get one free» stamp card, which may be useless if you’re not in downtown RWC regularly, but for me is a great little deal.

I was in the area to run an errand and stopped in for a smoothie. It was so hot this afternoon and wanted something to cool me off. First timer here and the place is charming. I ordered the Hawaiian Dreamsicle smoothie in the 16 oz. size. It was pretty good. I’d come back here again if I’m in the area again.

Coffee before a movie. I knew I needed something to kick start the usual chatterbox within me. Lately, I’ve been feeling slightly sluggish and down. I blame the changing weather patterns. The harried fluctuations in the temperatures. And a certain someone for stupid reasons unbeknownst to me, slams doors all day and night, clear into 4 am in the morning. So in saying, prior to meeting up with my cutie shy friend of the 6’3″ varietal, I ventured around this part of town with trepidation. Hey, I’ve never been here before. After we found each other, I let him know that a certain someone needed her caffeine kick to the ass prior to slinking down to Slumdog Millionaire. Royal Roasted is tucked next to a little sushi joint along the newly renovated strip aptly titled T H E A T E R R O W. The city has done a fantastic job of updating this part of town(apparently it was dumpier) and I, as a visitor, was very much impressed. Well lit. Inviting. Charming. Complete with the street lamps. When I stepped over the threshold, a little bell chimed to notify the proprietor of my entrance and I was greeted rather cheerily before I even made it to the counter. Sweet and accurate, the lady behind the counter made my breve latte hot and strong. After several sips, I began to feel energized and my conversational skills leapt into action. The interior of this little shop is built to resemble a little tiki post, complete with rattan furniture and bamboo slat siding. In addition to coffee/tea, they also offer sandwiches as well as sodas and Asian snacks(rice crackers) stacked off to the side. We spent a good 20 minutes there prior to ambling over to the movie theater. I’ll be back if I decide to hit this little enclave of sweet retreat from the busy 101.
