Have been in a few times and absolutely love it. The staff is super friendly. The food is great, fresh and HEALTHY.

Lots of community vibe here! From the comfortable patio furniture in bright colors in front to the kid art that lines the walls! Raspberry Mocha with Nonfat vs Whole option topped with real cocoa powder was delicious! Barista dude had his game on this morning. Happy tunes too boot!

Places on this block seem to flip fairly regularly since id been working nearby. Having been to Zoe in Menlo Park i was surprised to see them here. expansion or move? Regardless, they made a solid mocha with Ghirardelli chocolate. The guy working is super mellow and thats also the vibe of the place. Looks like they have some crazy tech for the tables to keep track of position and order numbers too. Another good spot on the caffeine list

I love this location! I’ve been going to café Zoe in Menlo Park for years… I am so happy to have one in Redwood City too! Café Zoe is the real deal, an authentic coffee house that really cares about you and the community!

Happened to discover this place on accident. I love to support the small businesses in the neighborhood and since I was in search of caffeine and had a few moments to kill, I walked on in. Kathleen, the owner greeted me right away. I ordered a soy latte and it was made perfectly. I’m not a fan of tons of foam or my latte too sweet so it was good. They also have a loyalty program for drinks and sandwiches. She uses a sophisticated system to keep track as well– write your name on an index card that is stored near the register and each time you make a purchase, you receive a hole punch! Voila!

I fell in love with Café Zoe at their Menlo Park location. I had believed that it had closed, but no one has reported that to Unilocal yet… maybe it reopened. I would definitely give that location 5 stars, I spent many a day writing papers there during grad school! Café Zoe seems to hire friendly workers who actually make a good impact on your day. I love their old fashioned customer loyalty system, where you punch your own index card when you come in. This new location is in downtown Redwood City, a little hidden, and it’s hours seem to vary a lot. As a general rule of thumb, I’ve come to expect them to be closed on holidays. I like the art/music components of this place, seems like they are always trying to promote creativity in the community. As far as coffee and food goes, it’s your basic coffee shop fair. I’m a big fan of the paninis!

Just found this little spot on a rainy Monday. Quiet and mellow vibe, immaculate. Earl Grey tea is Earl Grey tea, but the barrista(with the tattoo sleeve) has the sweetest smile and most gracious manner that I’ve seen in a week. I’d come back just for that.

On my way home from work I grocery shop in downtown Redwood City and I treat myself to iced green tea at Café Zoe. Please don’t be discouraged by some of the reviews it just opened up and it has it’s growing pains. I’ve enjoyed their food and service. I suggest the Four Cheese Panini with smoked bacon its decadent. Look if its worth the time for me to stop in during the afternoon commute I suggest you give it a try. My adventure continues…

So I really enjoyed the location in Menlo Park and I was happy to see this new one downtown. The blended drinks are really good as well as the lattes, etc. I’m still surprised that they aren’t getting more business as they are located on a street that is quite busy around lunch time with people that work at the nearby companies. The only downside is the service can be a bit slow because sometimes there is only one barista working.

This place is pretty cool! They have indoor seating and a little patio seating. The lady who runs the joint is extremely sweet and she remembered us when we went in a second time! The poppy seed muffin is delicious and the chocolate chai tea was even better! It is very reasonably priced!

Wonderful Experience! I would love to see more businesses with the core principles stated on there signage. Peace, hope and community. And the Tomato Pesto Panini with side salad is extremely tasty. If you are wanting a positive eating environment, this is your place. In-Joy

Starbucks makes you feel like a number. But I loved the«neighborhood» feeling from Café Zoes. Locally produced baked goods and everything made fresh on site — that is the way it should be. I am so glad to have found them near my office. Go to unwind and have my favorite latte the way I like it. Glad personal service is still alive. Thanks.

Ok updating my review because this place is seriously so inconsistent. Two days ago, I had one of the worst cups of coffee I’ve ever had and today, I stopped by for a latte at 8:15am and they were closed again. Sticking to Back Yard Coffee and Bliss from now on.

3.5 stars for the quality of coffee + food. Lattes were good and not unreasonably priced, but also nothing amazing. I got an almond milk latte and my bf got a caramel soy latte. The breakfast sandwiches are pre-made, so they just heat it up. Burritos are the same packaged burritos that can be found at other cafes, served up with a side of salsa. Owner is super nice and sweet though!

I like the outdoor seating. I enjoy walking the dogs down, sitting on the sofa eating a pumpkin muffin and enjoying a coffee. The owner and staff are friendly, the coffee good and the prices fair. Haven’t tried any sandwiches yet, but on a Saturday morning, this place is great.

Well, I’m not going back there. Ordered a sandwich on dutch crunch, waited for 10 minutes, then the lady came to say she«doesn’t like the way it’s looking» on dutch crunch, so I asked for French baguette, but they didn’t have that either — so out of their 6 or 7 bread choices I was stuck either with whole wheat or rye. Waited next 10 minutes, my sandwich comes in, turns out they switched avocado for tomato, even though I saw them writing my order down and the place really wasn’t busy. Also the coffee is way to expensive for what it offers.

Café Zoë is an amazing addition to Downtown Redwood City! Delicious, high-quality coffee in a beautiful space filled with original art and orchids. Kathleen and Zoe are an absolute delight to talk to; and their vision for Café Zoë as a place for peace, hope & community is transformative for the Downtown. So happy they are here!

This is a a little nook along Broadway street that features great coffee served by friendly people. There’s plenty of seating and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I’m not sure if there’s WIFI here. I didn’t see any SSID broadcasting when I was inside.

Located right on Broadway by Yokohoma, it’s a small narrow café with a few tables inside and a few outside on the sidewalk if you wanted to sit outdoors on a nice sunny day. There’s only street metered parking or paid garages since it’s located in downtown Redwood City. She was really friendly and helpful. I asked about the Funky Monkey and it sounded yummy but I was in dire need of caffeine so I went with the Mocafe Frappé. She suggested a shot of espresso to go with it as well which I readily agreed. You know when you’re out of it when you’re trying to hang up a phone on the keyboard instead of the receiver. As for the drink, it was delicious! It was nearly gone by the time I walked back to my office. Don’t think it was very strong though. Will definitely be back to try out more of their menu since they have a food menu as well. It consists of salads, Paninis, Quiche, Cold Sandwiches, Breakfast items, and Pastries. Note: They do have a loyalty program — You write your name on an index card and whole punch your card when you buy a drink. After 10 drinks, get the 11th one free. County employees: show your badge and you get 10% off your order!

Iced latte and German chocolate cake on a warm Friday afternoon. Couldn’t be better. Indoor and outdoor seating with tables, comfy couches and bar stool style seats. Walls covered with original paintings. Highly recommended.
