Dont bother going to this place the city shut them down and revoked their liqour license because of a shooting that occured outside of the place.

This place has already had their liquor license yanked by the city after an ultimately fatal beating behind the bar, and a 20, yes, 20, person drunken mêlée that spilled out onto Atwells Avenue. If there were any justice, this shit would be on the East Side, but realistically, there’s no place for a human zoo like this on Atwells — Broadway or Westminster? Maybe, but come on.

This place is an absolute joke. It is kind of disgusting that it is situated next to such a great restaurant — I feel bad for the owners at Sienna who have to deal with the trash from $ 3 bar pouring out on the sidewalk. For everyone saying they wish this place would be closed down — don’t worry it won’t last long. «Hey baby, lets go for date night at $ 3 bar, get shitty drinks, and watch someone get beat in the parking lot». So incredibly sad… The best comment I have seen on here says $ 3 beer = $ 3 people. You couldn’t be more right. The biggest joke is that the people giving this establishment 5 stars are either the owners/staff/or their friends. Enjoy your time on Fed Hill while you can $ 3 bar.

The way their patrons act and what they have turned my neighborhood into is despicable. You want to fight like animals? Go do it down on richmond street which doesn’t have housing right next to it. It has gotten to a point where you cannot even access the side walk in front of this bar to walk down the street. Why can every other business on Atwells corral their patrons but 3 dollar bar lets them make the sidewalk impassible? I was wondering why all the commotion the other night– flip on the news the next day, and wasn’t actually surprised. I hope the license commissioner reads Unilocal and gives us our neighborhood back from this bullshit. No other bars on the Hill have this sort of stigma, and in less than 2 months of being open, either. I’m not the only one who wants the neighborhood back

No 3 dollar drinks here. A few items are priced at 3 dollars but everything is priced like everywhere else. I will pay more to not have watered down fireball thanks. Other area bars have things priced better without that trashy crowd… Danisha and Sheree are filming hip hop fight videos in the street and theres literally dead bodies in the back parking lot. First an arm chopped off with a machete now people are getting beat to death with 2×4’s. Ever since the place opened there are barefoot homeless people harassing patrons at Sienna and Opa. This place is a joke… Stop.

A few nites ago a man was beaten to death in their parking lot. Last nite police broke up a brawl with an estimated 20 – 25 people and arrest two of them. Places like this is why I never go to the Hill anymore.

Tried this place out after hearing about it from a bunch of people. I went on a Wednesday night so nothing too crazy. I was pleasantly surprised there wasn’t a cover(we went after 10-not sure if there will be one on the weekends but I wouldn’t mind paying 10 $ if it included a drink voucher to get in). The place is a little dirty, tables a little woobley but over all great atmosphere and awesome music. This place will be a gold minded jungle once the college kids come back. I got the sangria, and for 3 $ it wasn’t bad. It did the job. Id recommened you skip the dels slush with vodka because I think mine was missing the vodka. Service was great, immediatly our waitress asked if it was our first time there and explained the menu and off the bat explained the 20 $ card minimum. Not a problem if they tell you ahead of time… there is also an ATM in the bar and across the street. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Didnt see anyone eating or try the food but I would be open minded to it. Go in there expecting some fancy top of the line place, youll be disappointed but I had a great experience and I plan on returning multiple times.

Wow. Sadly, you get what you pay for. The lovely $ 3 ladies were too preoccupied to give much service AND smoking upwind of me which was pretty annoying. My very minimalist order was incorrect and had to be sent back, but the wings and poppers were definitely tasty once I got them, and a bargain, as was my small, but reasonably strong margarita. AND, it’s cash only for under $ 20, which is not posted anywhere. Luckily there’s a BofA across the street. I «might» return with lowered expectations, but doubtful.

I wish I didn’t have to give a star to this dump. Might as well put a «Do Not Enter» sign on their door. This place hates hats, standing, and apparently repeated business. I would recommend drinking and eating on the sidewalk before stepping into this place. At least the people would be friendlier. Don’t waste your time here.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I’d just finished paying a tab of 60 bucks at the first bar when the second bar tried to charge me $ 21 for $ 9 worth of drinks because they have a «20 dollar credit card minimum.» The maximum allowable by law is a 10 dollar minimum, so this is essentially stealing. When I protested, the giant they hired to be a dick to everyone stood over me in some sort of mafia-style intimidation move. When I still refused to sign, I was forcibly thrown out. Moral of the story, if you want an experience worth 3 dollars at most, this is your place… Oh wait, that makes sense now.

Tried to give our business to the $ 3 Bar but apparently they didn’t want it. I was allowed in wearing flip flops and since it’s the summer my boyfriend was also in flip flops. He wasn’t let in because of the same footwear I was wearing and allowed in with. It’s called a $ 3 bar, I didn’t think we needed to dress up to get in. It’s ok we went and spent our money elsewhere that night.

This place was horrible, service sucked and the selection of beer was not good. My wine came out in a Dixie cup. Food was about the only thing was good. Service was bad and they seemed like they didn’t want to be there at all.

I honestly wasn’t expecting anything great from this bar and I still left disappointed. The first thing that threw me off was having my bag searched extensively. Not a deal breaker by any means, just not something I’m used to. We take a seat at a table and a waitress comes over to explain the menu. There’s a list of cocktails for $ 3 and some basic bar food listed on the back. She explains that they do have top shelf liquor available, but it will cost you more. All of this is pretty understandable. *I will note that the waitresses all had some pretty trashy short shorts on. This personally doesn’t bother me, but I figure it’s worth mentioning in case it’s an issue for someone.* Anyways, my friend and I both order a cocktail and an order of mozzarella sticks. The drinks come out served in tiny plastic cups. Really tiny. I would say two of the drinks combined would be the equivalent to one drink served just about anywhere else. The mozzarella sticks weren’t great, but what I was expecting for the price. Needless to say, we were ready to get out of there when we finished our drinks(the whole 2 minutes it took). Our waitress didn’t seem very happy, but she reluctantly brought us over the $ 9 bill. I was expecting her to say there was a $ 10 minimum for cards, but instead she said there was a $ 20! I ran to the bank to take out some cash while my friend waited. Problem solved. In theory, I like the concept. However, you don’t end up actually saving any money. Do yourself a favor and walk a minute down the road to Lili’s. Get a $ 5 cocktail that’s twice the size and enjoy not having to look at camel toe(unless that’s your thing).

It is really awesome to be able to take in the wonderful Federal Hill at an affordable price. The staff is extremely attentive, bar bites really for the price delish and the café tables on the sidewalk rock. It allows people to get out and be social, more than one night as it doesn’t break the bank, is a great place to meet friends a couple of times a week now… baby boomers are my age group and we all loved the concept and great value!

Great concept a 3 dollar bar right on federal hill … you can really tell that federal hill is really changing it up and opening up to more ethnicity. i walked in just know this use to be amicis not to long ago the only thing changed is the bar menu … when you walk in you get greeted by everyone on staff to really make you feel welcomed… they got slushy alcohol drinks and there own signature drinks named after our beloved citys in Rhode Island. All 3 dollar drinks is made with bottom shelf liquor which i expected so i kept an open mind to it. then BAM lol they hit u with the 6 dollar menu with the top shelf stuff again i dont blame em but there not true to there advertisement … ill be back thou

The crème de la crème of dive bars. $ 3 drinks in the heart of Atwells. Seriously. Del’s Narragansett. From the can. Outside. Summer has never tasted so good — or affordable. Food menu was basic. Valet parking for $ 10. Creative enough cocktail menu. Early evening was delightful — I imagine it gets quite a bit sloppier as the night rolls on… It’s all in a name. $ 3 Bar. Seriously.
