This place is still awesome 6 years later. And now they have amazing food as well! Really good(and cheap) burgers and hot dogs. And they do some amazing toppings(nutella!). Still a great friendly crowd and one of the best tap beer selections in the city.

This place is the E&O’s bad boy older brother. He plays his punk/metal music to loud, skips some showers, and is totally more alluring when you’re a few drinks deep. Make sure to have your ID at the ready since they check ‘em at the door. The lady to dude ration is heavily tilted to the latter, but in the best possible way. I’ve never seen a dude-bro or wayward office party here, unlike many other«dive» bars in PVD. Staff has been totally approachable and prompt. I’ve also had many memorable conversations with patrons, like how did I not know that Tina Turner appears in a Mad Max movie that CLEARLY inspired that great post-apocalypse 2Pac video?! I feel like this is a bar where people actually go to socialize with strangers rather than stare at their phones. Scurvy is open later than the other bars in the area, so it’s everyone’s last stop on a weekend night. I prefer to get here before ten so I have a shot at playing some pool/pinball.

Still feels like home away from home. Have not been to enjoy the new outdoor area and have still yet to experience Scorpion Bowl Monday :sad trombones: Every time I go I look at the bowls on the back counter and am like«oh yeah! Totally coming back on Monday…» Alas. Poco Loco Taco Truck Friday & Saturday nights! Boom!

Went on a busy Friday night. Scurvy Dog was so busy we could barely move inside. The bartenders were quick and we had drinks in our hands in less than 5 minutes. While we were initially pleased to have beverages quickly, they were not pleasant. The Ketel & tonic tasted like bubblegum. Not sure what was wrong with it, but it was very difficult to force down. Others in my group had beers, none of which anyone finished. There were more complaints of weird tastes to warm beer. A Jack & Coke was strong but that was the only beverage worth drinking. For a bar that has little more to offer than bad drinks, it had no redeeming qualities.
