the young woman working the register sure didn’t use any of her ‘aloha spirit’ today! Strictly business, couldn’t even spare a smile or pleasantry! Our food took a while to come out, but the woman who brought it out to the front was at least pleasant! Anyways, we got lost trying to find the beach that we were seeking, so by the time we ate our food, it was kind of cold, which totally wasn’t their fault! I had the buffalo sauce chicken sandwich & he had the pepper chicken rice plate. Both, I’m sure would’ve been better eaten hot. I thought my sandwich was a little salty, but otherwise not bad. Enjoyed the fresh slice of tomato on top. Total came out to $ 16 plus change. Certainly not a destination place to eat, but ok enough for a on-the-way stop, but don’t be in a rush, cuz it takes a while for the food to come out! Hint to the register girl, you might want to try to find a job that you would enjoy more.

It has been three years since my last visit to North Shore General Store but things have changed, not necessarily good. I ordered the chili pepper chicken, just like last time. The portion of chicken seemed quite a bit smaller as well as the amount of chili pepper sauce given, compared to last time. I also noticed a sign that said that if you wanted more chili pepper sauce, there was an additional charge of 50 cents. All the above things I can handle because the flavoring of the chicken was reasonable and would have justified at least a 3 star rating. However, what really irritated me was when I asked for a glass of tap water after the meal, I was told that it would be an additional $ 1.00 for a cup, ice and water. That was ridiculous, price gouging at its worse. I will never return; they can keep their precious tap water.

I’ll say it was convenient getting a hot pizza fairly fast. But it was $ 27 for a large pizza with little to no flavor and a cardboard crust. Maybe their burgers are better … A frozen pizza might have been better but I had no oven in my hotel

A gas station located in a convenient plaza with stores, restaurants etc. great burgers, good snack choices and almost great service. Everyone was friendly and professional except the white girl cashier. She looked upset and angry for no reason whatsoever. Would go back if she isn’t working.

Solid Loco Moco! Beef patties were well seasoned, eggs cooked perfectly and good gravy. If you’re up for food from a gas station then it’s well worth a stop!

Chatted with some locals and found myself at this 76 gas station eating some bomb chili pepper chicken!!! The chicken is breaded, then mixed in a special chili sauce. Served with rice and potato salad. The best local food I’ve had all week! We’re staying at the st Regis and it’s conveniently located up the street at the entrance. Although I think mainly locals know about it. Who would think to order meals in a gas station?! If u like chicken katsu and Hawaiian style food, this is the spot! Order and plop yourself down on the beach.

Cons: –it’s inside a general store without ambience –no place to eat because it’s in a store at a gas station –can take awhile to get food although I think one can argue this is a good thing –not a large selection of plate lunches Pros: –great plate lunch at a great price. One of the best values on the island. For most, 1 plate lunch will serve 2 as it’s also very filling. –solid down home cooking Didn’t try their other items so can’t comment-pizza, burgers. They also have a food truck in the area.

Awful! Horrible! Bad service! Nothing good to say about their food. We ordered 3 large pizzas plus 2 salads last night. First of all they screwed up our order. Long wait to correct it so we took what they had. The pizza was burnt & flavorless. Easily the worst any of us have every had. The salad was wilted and warm. At first they only gave us 2 little dressings. Cheap jerks! We asked for more and really needed them to hide the wilted lousy taste of the salad. Used it on the bad dry pizza too. There was a lettuce core in the salad. Anyone who thinks this place has good food needs to get out more. Try Cosco. Same size pizza for $ 10 and its delicious. Same size salad $ 4.00-crisp and fresh. Bad customer service. Bad food.

Ordered the Bruddah’s BBQ burger. A Unilocaler said it was the best burger they’ve ever tasted, so why not? The burger was pretty large and looks delicious based on the photos. The taste is a different story. I totally agree with the others that say this burger is overcooked. I only ate half the burger because the overcooked patty just became gross and unappealing. The onion rings were also a disappointment. They were too dough-y and not crispy enough. But if you like dough rings, then this might be for you. Overall, a disappointing food joint like most places in Kauai.

Not very often do you think of a gas station for food. Well here on the north shore of Kauai, take a moment to gas up and grab a bite to eat here. The huli huli hot dog with bacon is nice touch.

First of all, don’t be surprised when you see there is a gas station. Pay no attention because inside it becomes food heaven with a brick pizza oven and heavenly pizza’s. Chicken chili flavored and great, great sandwiches. The cook and proprietor are lovely people and this place is worth the stop. Yes that’s my BF gnawing on that all vegetarian pizza with a crunchy crust.

Most people/tourist think this is simply a gas station with souvenirs inside. It has more going on than that. don’t let the«gas station» fool you. We did the same thing, we needed gas that morning, went inside to look around and left. It was actually one of the stops on the Tasting Tour we were going on later that day. We sampled the braddah burger and the Italian pizza. Both delicious! The owner even came out to visit with us and talked about his products. The meat is from a local ranch on the island, fresh and as organic as it gets with the bread made daily from the Passion Bakery(which it seems alot of the restaurants get their bread from). The pizza dough is made daily and it is better than pizza from around my hometown. The prices are also reasonable. The pizza is cheaper than some of the other ones on the North Shore. They have deals throughout the month where you can get a large for $ 11.99, which is unheard of for Kauai.

They get four stars for the service and food surprise. This is a gas station with a large kitchen; not somewhere you would expect to serve real food — but they do. They only have two choices for breakfast, I ordered the eggs with bacon. When I was called by name, to pick up the food 10 minutes later, the closed food container seemed to weigh a few pounds. To my delight it contained a mega dose of bacon, eggs, toast and rice! I was in heaven. I was starved when I went here and they hit the spot. It’s not gourmet, but it is a great deal for the quality and quantity of food. No one else was here for breakfast when we got here — their loss. This is an undiscovered gem across from the Foodland market. The chickens are at your feet looking for a treat.

Ok, so before I begin, do yourself a favor and Drive to Hanalei Bay for coffee, don’t waste your time getting that here because there is something wrong with it. Also, the store does have a pretty tasty kitchen, but as with anything in the area, its usually pretty slowly prepared. Would give a 4 star review if the coffee wasn’t as bad as it was, options are limited around here.

I order pizza from here all the time cause I live close and I’m always disappointed. Here’s a tip. Use tipo 00. Let the dough sit in the fridge a couple days. for heaven sakes don’t roll the gas out of the dough. Let it bubble and rise. Work on your sauce recipe. Nice oven btw. You could be making great pizzas in that thing. Maybe a little upgrade on your ingredients and technique.

Yes its inside a Chevron station, yes you should order food from here. My BF loved the burger he had, the calzone I had was also good but they overcharged me for toppings. The pizza was not good, the crust was too bready and thick(not airy). I agree you should call in your order if you can because waiting around a gas station sucks.

This place is good! The best gas station food in Hawaii. Get the LOCOMOCO, its a Hawaiian favorite that is hands down the most filling meal on the island. O ya and the price’s are legit here except for the gas!

Had the burger with bbq and bacon, we switched the American cheese for blue cheese, charged extra but we expected it. The flavors were ok, but the meat was overcooked. The kids had chicken strips and fries, chicken is tyson chicken and fries were undercooked. My mom had wings, which tasted like they had Tabasco instead of proper hot wing sauce, and the wings themselves were not fried right. The grilled chicken in the salad also tasted like the bagged frozen kind, reheated. This place was disapointing. I was hoping it was decent enough to keep going back a couple of times but that’s not happening.
