Came here for the Poke, got 3 kinds. Did not disappoint. Came here for groceries. We’re on an island; things are more expensive on the island. Quality was still great. Did not disappoint again. Super friendly staff and a clean store to top it off. Will come back again.

Terrific grocery store that has everything you need including freshly made meals, grocery items and alcohol! And to get the discounted prices all you need to do is provide your phone number. Crazy easy!

Five stars for the poke, 3 stars for the prices of groceries. Yes i know everything is expensive in kauai, but foodland prices are simply outrageous. The poke makes up for it though, make sure to try to california roll poke(I don’t care how touristy it is) it is amazing! And a little insider tip, if you order the poke bowl(with rice) it ends up being more poke for cheaper than if you got it a la carte, and the rice is delicious!

Gotta love Princeville Foodland! It’s a really well-stocked grocery store that is also mindful of the many visitors staying for a week or two. The produce is plentiful and beautiful, and they offer lots of organic options(in all departments). You’ll find high-end meats and cheeses(Boar’s Head) as well as Oscar Mayer Bologna and spray cheese. They have an extensive liquor selection, souvenirs department, and a remarkably diverse ice cream and frozen treats aisle. The staff are always friendly and helpful. What more do you need?! Make certain to get a Makai card to get the excellent price reductions – that’s a must.

The only supermarket anywhere around — so you’ll end up here eventually. Prices are sky high — but I guess we expected that. We try to avoid this type of place when on vacation.

Okay, I remembered loving this place from 3 years ago, but sometimes things change. Nope, nicest, most polite staff, great deli and sushi bar, fresh produce, cheap gifts to take home, and clean store. I think we were at the store at least once a day, and every time the experience was wonderful. I wish we could have store employees like this back at home. Keep it up!

Great place for quick bite togo and whatever you forgot to bring on your vacation or souvenir. Very friendly staff, mostly pinoy staff especially in the food togo counter. Great ahi poke selection and they sell rice too. Went here every night while staying in Princeville.

I love food land! It’s your one stop shop to pick up necessities for your stay in Kauai. I stopped here daily and never walked out without the freshest most delicious ahi poke and spam musubi. They have a very good beer and wine selection as well.

I bought all my Hawaii Souvenirs from here including stuff from the bakery(butter mochi, coconut mochi), Beverage aisle(Kauai Kombucha, Hawaiian Coconut Water), Spice Aisle(Salts and rubs of all kinds), and they have a specific Hawaiian made aisle for souvenirs like the Moana Loa Macadamia Nuts and Chocolates. When I went, it was always late at night after work so I missed all the poke but it’s good to know they clear it out each day to make it fresh for the next day. This location also has coffee bean for people who need their CBTL fix(but try the local Hawaiian coffee shops!!). It’s located in a large plaza with lots of parking and there is a small food court in there too.

I love Foodland. We were staying at Anini Beach and based on some research, did our shopping at the Lihue Safeway on the way over thinking there weren’t any good grocery options in this area. Well, we did not have to do that since Foodland was near our house and well stocked. It looks small on the outside but has everything you would find at a larger store. Not sure about prices but yay for convenience. They have awesome Poke, I recommend the avacado poke. They even have a Redbox inside.

One word: poke. Got to Princeville really late for any brunch or lunch so we went to Foodland for my hankering of poke. Foodland was the nearest place for us to shop for some grocery items and it was convenient for anyone living/Staying at Princeville.

That’s right it’s a grocery store, pick up some supplies and get one or two or three of the poke, great selection, very fresh,(skip the fried chicken — we picked up a fried chicken dinner here for something quick, not good), nice pasta salads and sides, and there’s seating outside in the courtyard. Nice helpful people. I’m thinking you’re best bet for fried chicken might be out the back door of your condo — if you’re here in Kauai you’ll get that joke.

Great grocery store to avoid pricier places farther down the road. The produce section is surprisingly nice, and signs indicate which things were grown locally. There is also a corner of the store dedicated to Hawaiian gifts and souvenirs. Everything you need is here, with a spotlight on Hawaiian brands. Bring your own bag!

You really cant go wrong with Foodland, especially this location in Princeville. This store is always clean and well stocked. You will find most of the common brands and items youd find at the big chain stores on the mainland. Armed with the Makai Card and smart shopping skills you can do just fine money wise. The made to order Sandwiches are good to pack for roadtrip or hiking lunches. I really like the cheap premade ones at the end of the deli case near the cheeses, Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, etc. Cheap! The whole Rotisserie Chicken is really good here too. $ 9.99 regular price, I have bought it on special as low as $ 7.99. Pretty good deal, you are a long way from Costco up here! Depending on how my Vacation Rental is stocked I will ask for Mustard, Mayo, Ketchup, Soy Sauce packets at the Deli to save a bit rather than buying whole bottles. Of course there’s the coffee and soda fountain area where you will find Sugar, Sweetner, Creamer.

The first rule of glamping is that you need a place to refresh your provisions when necessary. This Foodland was our«go to» when camping on Kauai! I have to say that I thought it was above par in terms of cleanliness, customer service and selection of local items. At a tourist destination you are always going to get prices a little higher than you are used to but Foodland Princeville did a good job still keeping the prices in the range of normal for Hawaii. Foodland does a great job of highlighting local products(look for the orange tag!) and selling them right alongside the more well-known brands. Foodland also has good weekly deals and makai card specials. They have always championed bringing your own bag and now are holding a raffle with the new HI bag ban. This Foodland also has a small local gift selection in the back.

Foodland was our«go to» place for everything since we were staying in a house rental 5 minutes away in Princeville. Are their prices expensive? Yes. Are you in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? Yes. Some of their stuff is made local, but let’s face it… just as you had to pay alot of money to get your butt to Kauai, they have to haul the food there too. Get over it already. That said, they have everything you need to make a nice meal if you are lucky enough to have a full kitchen. Sundries, liquor and other odds and ends can also be found in this little but fully stocked market.

Foodland has a good selection of food like any grocery store, and they carry Boar’s head deli meats which I prefer. If you only need a couple days worth of food and don’t want to drive far, Foodland is great. However, I would suggest staying away from the deli. I had a basic turkey sandwich, but it tasted bland. I’m not sure if I got the unlucky side of the turkey or something, but it just didn’t taste that good. I know not to expect much from a foodland deli, but eh it was just okay at best.

One of the larger supermarkets in Kauai, and the only one that I was able to find in Princeville. There are a few smaller shops, but nothing with as large a selection as Foodland. They have an extensive ahi poke selection, including salmon poke. The staff were patient while we asked to try a sample of a few of the poke selections before we made our purchase. We bought a few other items that were on sale, but in general everything is expensive especially when compared to mainland prices, but that’s to be expected.
