The location is convenient and the building, tables, and utensils appeared clean. The staff was friendly but not particularly attentive. I made it through one piece of sushi, which was overwhelming«fishy», as is common in low-grade sushi. I had half a plate of rice and assorted meats, all of which were bland. Ideally, the establishment would focus on quality instead of quantity and provide food comparable to the chains which provide similar food(non-buffet) at a similar price. If they are going to offer sushi, charge extra and make it worth the money. «All you can eat» is only good if you want to eat the food.

I was initially excited to see an all you can eat sushi place in Prescott so my son and I went with anticipation. Which pretty much fizzled when we saw the selection. I think their sushi selection changed after the first few weeks after opening cause the choices were pretty dismal. Hmmmm, what choices?! We went there for the sushi & ended up having cooked food instead so it was really an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Even that was not very good. My son ended up only willing to have one bowl of wonton soup which he didn’t even finish and I had one plate of food. Pretty disappointed!!! It is nice for Prescott to have an all you can eat place– there’s not too many of them. Just not sure they should advertise as an all you can eat sushi place though.

The buffet had decent choices and the habachi grill was the standout choice. The service was iffy and we had to wait a very long time for our drinks and the same for refills. The sushi was only ok. The miso soup was very bland and the takiyori was very dry. The price was good for a buffet but sadly the food was just wasn’t up to par overall. The best was the ice cream.

Prescott is not rich on lunch time buffets so I was very happy to find this place. The wifey and I hopped in the car and went for it. The establishment looks great inside and out. Clean, bright, comfortable, friendly service and smiley faces. We were super enthusiastic and hungry when got seated. Time for fill up the plates! Aaand unfortunately that’s where the excitement ended. There is only one way you’re going to leave this place happy and that is to stop by a pharmacy and buy some liver cleansing. Besides for sushi there isn’t a dish that isn’t dripping oil. Every single thing is either swimming in grease, filled or is dripping with some sort of fat. Food quality is very, very low. Over the course of last couple of weeks I ate here twice and both times left feeling very sick. First time I thought that maybe I had an accidental bad shrimp but after my second meal I realized that it’s just a bad food quality overall. Good tasting food but if you care about your health — stay away.

Please note! No Chinese buffet has quality Japanese sushi! If you think you are coming here for Grade A sushi, don’t. Sushi does not belong on a buffet!!! I have read the poor reviews, but it’s not a bad place. The food is cold. Definitely not hot restaurant food. The sushi is exactly what you would expect in a Chinese restaurant. Cheap. The soup was hot. Of course, I have been in much worse. It’s your average Chinese buffet. It will make a turd. It is clean, I have to say.

It is as they say an improvement from the previous establishment. Their servers were all friendly with smiles and polite. Place is clean and there is no foul smell of any sort. I went in on a Saturday morning. All the food at the served trays are maintained with hot piping steam(be careful grabbing those thongs). The salad bar and mains are all almost similar to what you would find at typical Chinese buffets. Love their honey chicken! Hibachi grill: My personal favorite. A station where you build your own plate. They have noodles(yellow/flat rice), veggies(bean sprouts, peppers, jalapeño, cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, scallions), and meats(chicken, pork, beef). Put it all on a plate and bring it to a window near the station to be cooked. Choose from 4 selection of sauces(garlic, house and etc). I chose the house sauce and it was not bad. Once done, they’ll ring it(you’ll be able to hear it from your seat). At the window, you can also find that they serve Vietnamese Phở(Vegetable, Chicken, Pork, Beef) Sushi: about 10 selections but they did not have any of the raw fishes(no tuna/salmon) Desserts: soft-served ice cream machine, Swiss rolls, coconut meringue, brownies, almond cookies, jello, pudding and fruits(average taste) Environment: Not too much noise but you’ll be able to hear conversations from the nearby tables. They have Chinese music playing at the background. The place could use a bit more lighting to make it more stimulating and«clean». Price: Around $ 8/pax when I visited on a Saturday morning I would visit again if I’d like to have some simple all-you-can-eat Chinese food. The quality is great with the price you’re paying

The food was rally tasty and fresh, the Buffett was tended to by employees and constantly refilled. The only thing is the tempura which like most buffett’s was soggy and oily. The staff was very friendly and made sure the dirty dishes were taken away and drinks refilled.

Great value and good selection. Could use a low/non fat ice cream.

A friend and I decided to check this place out for the first time in years, let me just tell you, in no way shape or form was this even worth the time it took us to be seated. First of all, everything, and let me be clear when I say everything, I mean everything I tried was luke warm if I was lucky. The wontons were rubbery, the chicken was basically mush, the lo mein tasted as if it had been sitting underneath a heat lamp all day long, and chances are it was. I dared not even try the sushi, due to the fact that I value my life and health. I do not recommend eating at this cess pool of a «restaurant,» and furthermore, I am entirely surprised this place is allowed to stay open. The manager, after being made aware of all of our issues, still asked us to pay for our Sodas instead of just comping everything. Needless to say, we shan’t be returning, and I am now contacting the health department, which to my understanding, is the reason this particular buffet has been shut down a few times already.

Delish 2 dozen different types of sushi, and a Mongolian bar… That’s all I could eat this trip. And lunch only 7.95… Such a deal

To begin with, this is not the former Chinese buffet at all. Many more selections, MUCH more sushi, fresher fruit and CLEANER! Give it a try and judge for yourself. I thought it was an improvement. Go!

I had a doctor appointment right around the corner so we decided to give this place a try. This used to be the China Buffet, which went out of business. It has now reopened as The U-Like Asian Buffet. The exterior of the building hasn’t changed and for that matter, neither has the interior. Same old dirty carpeting, same old tables and chairs devoid of any style. Same old cheap Chinese decorations sparsely scattered about. We were met at the door by one of several persons near the register who quickly took us to a table. We ordered our drinks — no beer or wine — and were left to partake of the buffet. The steam tables were all plenty full and their were plenty of workers busying themselves by keeping the food areas replenished and clean. I tried several of the offerings — the fried rice, lo mein, beef and broccoli, a spring roll, and some sort of imitation seafood dish. Cheese covered mussels and steamed clams rounded out my first selections. My next go-round was sweet and sour chicken and a pair of California rolls. The dessert round was a cream puff, a small coconut macaroon, a dollop of chocolate pudding and a dollop of tapioca pudding. To be fair, no buffet can ever be as good as specific dishes cooked to order. And I have been to a number of buffets. Some very good, some not so good. This one falls squarely in the not-so-good category. Most of the dishes were bland and tasteless. While steam rose from the steam tables, my entries were barely lukewarm when I made it back to my booth. The fried rice was dry, flavorless, and devoid of anything save a few peas and carrots. The lo mein tasted only of soy sauce, as did the clams, which were also gritty. The spring roll and the beef dish was just okay, and the California rolls were dry. The sweet and sour chicken was mostly batter and the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t… Mostly a sugary syrup with red dye. The cream puff was a chewy dough ball with some sort of artificial cream filling… like that in a Twinkie — probably also has the 50 year shelf life. The puddings were out of low quality bulk cans, and the tiny coconut macaroon was okay. I hope management gets a fortune cookie that tells them to make drastic improvements or this place will go the same route as it’s predecessor — down the tubes. Two dinners… 1 tea, 1 cola, $ 28. We could have had a great steak at the Roadhouse and an adult beverage for that! If you are in the mood for some really good Chinese food… don’t come here.

This is not another one of those mediocre oriental food buffets. The food hear is quality and everything tasted really good. They have an excellent verity to choose from. I got full long before I was able to try everything I wanted to. The sushi bar had so much to choose from. I filled my plate taking just one of each roll and still had more to try. The atmosphere was neat and clean. A gentlemen was playing live music and did a very nice job. Me and my wife will definitely be back again soon.

Came up to Prescott to visit the old folks this weekend. They said they wanted to go to the new Asian buffet. I automatically cringed. I vowed years ago, no more Chinese BUFFETS. Hell I have a rule about it. I have been burned over and over by Chinese Buffets here in Arizona. And honestly don’t have the highest opinion in general of Chinese food in Arizona. So we went. Honestly for the price of 8 bucks. I couldn’t believe how good it was. Sushi was better than grocery store quality. Soup outstanding. Beef and Broccoli great. General Tso Chicken, not bad. Hibachi grill pretty damn good. They even have Phở soup. Chinese food in general was as good or better than most Chinese fast food. But seriously what it comes down too is the price. 8 bucks. That is cheap. Lemme tell you how good this is. I recently went to Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale and ate Lunch for 15 bucks. Well this for 8 bucks KICKEDIT’S ASS. Maybe the Manager from Talking Stick that is begging me to come back for FREE and give it a second chance should take a drive up to Prescott and take a note from a buffet for half it’s price.
