I had heard good things about this place, but I didn’t think it was all that . For as much as you spend the portions are not big. The hours are horrible. And no delivery.

We are always on the look out for a good Chinese place. I mean a GOOD Chinese place. I’m done with the stuff-yourself-til-you-burst buffets with their skimpy, luke-warm, dried out fare or the Chinese fast food places in the shopping centers with their deep-fried, grease-ball, sugar bombs. I mean a good, sit down, fresh, made to order Chinese meal kind of place with real food. When we heard about the Beijing II we went right away. It’s situated on the frontage road adjacent to State Route 69, just off Robert Road. It’s an older building, but well maintained. It’s tiny. The dining room only has six tables for four, and two tables for two. Clearly a «mom and pop» operation with a staff of two… The man does the cooking and handles the kitchen. The woman everything else. They are only open from 4 to 8PM. We were the only patrons at the time, but it was early. It was meet, greet, find you own seat. The restaurant looked freshly painted and was absolutely spotless. The floor and tables were hospital clean. The hostess brought our menus and took our drink orders. BTW: no alcohol is served here. We ordered ala-carte, starting off with a Po-po Platter — several types of appetizers with the mini-hibatchi grill. I ordered the house«special» fried rice, with shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken, my wife ordered a dish we have not ever seen before — crispy beef. While we were waiting several other patrons came in, filing three tables. All were clearly regulars as the hostess recognized and greeted them as such. That gave us hope. The Po-po arrived within a few minutes. It was a good selection — deep fried, shrimp, won tons, sesame chicken wings, and pork skewers. Unfortunately save for the pork skewers, everything was way over cooked. The battered items and won tons were too dark, and the chicken wings were like cardboard. The fried rice was good, but not great — a little dry. The crispy beef turned out to be strips of beef coated with something we thought might be corn starch, then deep fried. It was plated with a broccoli garnish that was only lukewarm. It was horrible — in both taste and texture. We were really disappointed. Like I said, we are always on the hunt for GOOD Chinese — it’s scarce in these parts. Yep. You guessed it… The search continues. This wasn’t it.

What does it take for one of these chinese restaurants in this town to deliver to my hotel!!! Sigh… this is the first time I’ve been on business travel unable to get someone to deliver me food other than pizza and sandwiches. Ironically there is a place called Beijing garden. I had 2 computers on and thought I ordered from them but it turns out I ordered from Beijing II. Food: I didn’t expect much from this place… afterall I’m in Prescott AZ… how good can the Chinese food be… Chicken wings — Sweetened like the korean wings. Not bad. A lot better than I expected. Chow Mein — Your typical generic Americanized chow mein noodles. Skip… Beef with vegetables — They don’t marinade their beef with baking soda like typical chinese restaurants. Decent flavors but vegetables were overcooked and too much sauce. Shrimp with lobster sauce — I liked it. Egg sauce with shrimp essentially. Service: Very nice lady working the counter. Didn’t have much experience with their service otherwise. Environment: Hole in the wall setting… literally Price: A bit pricier than I expected, but then again their competition is somewhat limited… Food: 3 Service: 4 Environment: 3 Price: 3

Two down sides to this place are the limited hours of operation and it’s small size. Other than that everything is just right. The service is friendly. The prices are very reasonable. The food is tasty. Our favorites are: Wor Wonton Soup Kung Pao Chicken Grandma Special Spicy Chicken Salad The Grandma Special is a must try.

After reading the Unilocal reviews I was super excited to try this place! Came here for sons birthday and was so disappointed. Ordered spicy Hunan beef and it was so sickeningly sweet it tasted more like a dessert. We had asked the waitress how spicy it was and she said they could make it as spicy as we wanted. Super stoked for some spicy food we asked for as spicy as they’d make it please. There was absolutely no spice to it whatsoever. Sons Mongolian beef was just«ok». Tried not to say to much about my «dessert meat» so as not to ruin his Birthday dinner but we both left most of our food on the plate. Later that evening my foodie boyfriend admitted it was the worst Chinese food he’s ever had. Won’t be back

Must try! Kong pao chicken and szechwan chicken are both delicious! Small inside but super friendly waitress and waiter.

We love this place! Great food, fresh & hot. Love going for dinner when they serve hot tea. Overall great experience every time! Just wish their dining area was a little bigger… gets a little crowded when people are waiting for to-go orders.

Their hours may suck. …only 4 – 7PM but the food does not, I ordered extra spicy and what I got was perfect… This is a family place with great food and friendly service… Also their steamed rice is to die for… Definitely worth a visit One of only 2 Chinese restaurants I go to in the area.

So I am a fan of this place… i tend to stop by for lunch at least once a month. I love the sweet and sour chicken its not heavily fried and drenched in sauce. And it comes with fried rice… not oily and an eggroll. For the amount and quality you cannot go wrong. My husband always orders the chow mien house special… it has chicken and shrimp and in big portions. We like to order the crab puffs… rich in flavor and again not oily like other places. The downside is the seating and short staff. The place is really small and if you go during the lunch rush expect to be cramped and waiting for a table… its best to call for take out. I really don’t care to hear my neighbors private conversations. They have only one waiter and she is moving as fast as she can.

Best Chinese food in the Prescott area! But I’m from San Jose, so I was spoiled back home. But this place is a little gold mine… I love their crab puffs, creamy corn soup, and almond chicken. Good prices.
