Food is good; wait staff is ok, but watch your bill. I ordered 2 items and both were 1.5 times the price on the menu. They only corrected one. If I ce here more than once per year, I’d be upset.

We came here at a busy Friday lunch time. Our server was fast, attentive and very pleasant his name was Mike. I ordered fish tacos. they were flavorful, crispy and delicious. My partner hade the steal fajitas they were served on a sizzle after with salad, green peppers and onions. Very flavorful and an exceptionally pleasant experience.

Always a good and yummy time. Kids don’t always like spicy food and so Margaritas is a great place to go when you have the little ones. They have a menu just for kids that includes burgers and fries or chicken strips, etc. It’s the only Mexican joint that does this. That way mommy and daddy can have fajitas and burritos, and the picky ones can get their preferred kiddy food. Perfect!

I’ve only been here once but everything was amazing! My friend and I tried just about every margarita on the menu, some even more than once. The Heavens to Margatroid(Heavens, for short) was AWESOME! It was a weird, gray-like color, but omg was it so good. I was told to ask for it to be made the«old way.» Now for food, I got grilled shrimp tacos. They didn’t gip me on shrimp and the creamy green sauce that was on it was to die for. I’m drooling just thinking about it! Lol. Lastly, our bartender… She was wonderful. Even joined in on heckling my friend with me! It was overall a good time.

Was not very good food, overcooked and soggy burritos. Server seemed to not really care for hair job

Love margaritas! my family and I go at least once a week and love it. We love Steve the waiter! he is amazingly fast! Also Jenn is so fun and nice! Very disappointed when I came Sunday night. our waiter — was I new I believe and I think his name was cooper. Probably in his late 20s. He said the word definitely SOMANYTIMES. He came over and we ordered our drinks. I got a Shirley temple and he gave me a small glass for alcohol and such. Was charged the same price for the normal soda sized glass — but in a tiny cup… when we ordered our food he didn’t write anything down, therefore he messed up our order. I ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla — and he brought me a chicken quesadilla with A BILLIONTOMATOES. I didn’t want to wait so I just ate it… Also mixed up my other family’s meal…:(Not happy with him. Recommend Steve!

this is a tough review. we go here every year for my wifes birthday, but this may have been the last time. we had their russelritas, which are the some of the best frosty drinks we have ever had. the wings app was also very good. I had the tacos, they were good. my wife had the steak, it was bad. when I say bad I mean spoiled bad, after her first bite she thaught it tasted funny. she than smelled it and than I smelled it. it smelled really bad. like they tried to push rotten meat out and hope we wouldn’t have noticed. so we complained. they took it back and replaced it with shrimp tacos. they came out to let us know the steak would be taken off our bill. but than they charged her for the shrimp tacos. it was only like $ 10 bucks or so but we kinda felt like we shouldn’t have been charged for her meal at all since they almost poisoned her. whatever, we paid the bill without saying anything and left. so I don’t know if we will be rushing back there again. maybe for drinks and salsa but I’m not too sure about dinner.

My DH and I are members of their rewards program circle of friends and it was that time of year(my birthday) that they sent me a $ 10 coupon so we decided to use it in their Portsmouth restaurant… we arrived after an early movie at about 6:30 and was seated right away in the bar area which has many TV’s so my DH can catch up on the scores… He ordered a beer and Enchiladas Muchachas and said it was delicious and I had a Red Berry Sangria and Chicken Fajita which was great… I couldn’t eat it all because it was big so we brought some home for my DH’s lunch the next day! All the sauces and vegi’s are fresh I enjoy coming here with a coupon and also each month they have a Moonlight Madness Party where throughout the evening the lounges are piled high with giveaways, contests, flavorful specials and lots of fun and excitement. Even better, 5% of the evening’s lounge sales are donated to a local charity. A fun evening!

The service should get 5 stars, and the food should get 2 or 3 stars… So 4 is the average! Went last night and there was a cold draft on our table. We asked the waitress if she could do something about it and she let the manager know our issue. The manager then stopped by our table 2 – 3 times during the meal to make sure we were happy with the temperature and enjoying the meal. The waitress and hostess were also very friendly and helpful. Great service! The food was mediocre. I got the Enchiladas Banderas(the vegetarian version of the Mexican Flag) and it was adequate but not amazing. The refried beans had too much pepper on them and the rice had too many tomatoes for my taste, but the enchiladas themselves were good. All in all good enough for Mexican food in New Hampshire!

I walked into this place on a East Coast road trip and instantly knew we had picked a great place. It’s Fun, Colorful and Friendly! It’s exactly want I look for in a Mexican Restaurant. I got the Shrimp & Steak Fajitas and it was awesome! Being a California native I know good Mexican and this place is perfect. Our waitress Ashley R. was awesome and funny as well!

Great service, great food, nice atmosphere. Only thing I didn’t really care for was the rice and beans. There wasn’t really anything wrong with them, I just like mine prepared a little lighter(for lack of a better word). These were kind of heavy.

Had the seafood tacos: including one tuna, one regular fish taco, one shrimp. Everything was heavily battered and fried, the actually fish/shrimp is very small portion. Possibly the worst tacos I’ve ever had! The service was terrible too. We asked for take out. The waitress took our order and said she’d take it to our seats at the bar area. — She disappeared. We waited for 15 minutes, then went to ask the front where our takeout order is. He gave the same answer: stay at the bar, I’ll take it to your seats. Another 15 minutes past. There’s no chance our tacos took half an hour to make, right? We saw the guy came out with a bag and put it on a seat in the waiting area and suspected it’s ours. But another customer sat down there, and we were less sure. After all, both him and the waitress before him confirmed that they’d bring the food to our seats, right? Nope. nothing happened. We finally grew impatient, and asked the guy again where our take out order is. He pointed to the bag next to another customer, said«here it is!» — really? Such horrible service and food. Stay away from this place to the best of your ability!!!

Service is good, restaurant is clean, food is good! What more could you ask for?! I recommend the«Original Fish Tacos». Very, very good. The tortilla chips are delicious. Salsa is very tasty. Definitely, the best Mexican food in a 10 – 20 mile radius.

I went twice and thought it was amazing. The music, décor, and food. Not sure why people gave it less than 4 stars.

We had gone to pick out my sister’s bridal gown next door and thought this would be a convenient place to eat afterwards(I love Margarita’s, normally). We sat down with 4 ladies and a baby(highchair). We were chatting and my sister was on her phone talking to her fiancé. The waiter came to the table and put the chips and salsa down right in front of the baby. My sister kindly told the waiter«oops, not in front of the baby» and went to move the chips, no big deal. Well apparently we offended the waiter. He grabbed the chips out of her hands and slammed them down in the middle of the table, replied with«Yah…I know!!!» and walked away. We all looked at one another stunned. After a few minutes the waiter returned with waters, slamming each one onto the table splashing the water all over the table. He then proceeded to knee my sister in the thigh as he put his leg up on the booth. She responded with«Excuse me, but did I do something to offend you at all?». He responded with«Oh no! I love you guys!!! You seem like you’re from Rye!». Whatever that meant, we were now offended. We thought he was going to either 1. spit in our food or 2. drop our food all over the ground before serving us, so we got up and left. You need to look over your waitstaff and re-evaluate. I’ve never met such a rude and«fake» waiter in my life.

Yes, it’s a chain, but I had a great experience here. It was simple — the food, drinks, and service were all great. What more can you ask for? They kindly accommodated our large lunch party and split the bill without too much grief. Margaritas were tasty and so was my fajita. Bonus points to any place that automatically brings chips and salsa to the table!

Margaritas is one of only about a handful of restaurant chains in the Northeast for which I’d go out of my way for dinner. It won’t be the best Mexican food you’ve ever had, but they’re consistently good, as is this one. I happened to come here on Valentine’s Day. A lot of restaurants were full with long waiting lines. Margaritas was close to — but not quite — full, and we were seated immediately without a reservation. They have quite an extensive offering of margaritas to drink(that makes sense, doesn’t it?), as well as appetizers and good basic entrees. The chips were fresh and warm. The salsa was too cold, probably just out of the refrigerator, but I liked the distinct garlic and lime juice in it. We all ordered some variety of «chicken combos» entrees and with these we were offered a number of types of beans as sides. The dinners came out promptly, were warm, tasty, generous portions. Our server checked on us frequently and kept our water glasses full. For dessert we tried a new menu item, the Chocolate Toffee Mousse Pie. Even though it says«pie» it looks more like a 2-layer cake with a mousse filling and toffee«frosting.» It was quite good, true mousse texture, deep chocolate taste without being overpowering. It’s worth it. I don’t know whether it was because it was Valentine’s day or not, but there were bright red helium balloons on many of the tables, in addition to the usual décor. Yeah, I get it, but really, helium is a somewhat precious resource — do you need to waste it on table décor?

Service was superb. The lemonade was apparently pink and delicious. I think I had 4 glasses on top of my water. Prices were on the higher side but the portions were large. The tomato nachos were overflowing with stringy cheese. This was the smallest item we had. Not many chips for the price. The trio combo was good. Not very Mexican-y but very good. The free chips and salsa was actually spicy. Love that. I hate going to Mexican restaurants and having just mild bland salsa. Pleasant surprise.

I’ve been to Margaritas many times over the years it’s been open, and the food is usually good. The restaurant has lots of decorative things to look at, wait staff is usually ok and once in awhile we’ve gotten someone really good. The non-stop fresh chips and salsa are great. I usually get Baby Chicken Chimis or steak fajitas, my husband tries numerous things. We’ve never had a meal that wasn’t at least ok or better. The bar is loud and festive, they have happy hour appetizers out that are free and those are always good. We’ve always had a great waitress in the bar, whether it’s just 2 – 4 of us or a larger party of up to 20. They do a great job! I think their prices are a bit on the high side for Mexican food — we still go back!

Just went to lunch here. Normally I go to this restaurant at night. Walk in at 12:00 and got seated immediatly. The waiter came after awhile, took our order. I got the steak fajhitas. As always the food came hot and very tasty.(I am allergy to cheese, so I alwasy as for it without. And they always cater to my request. A really big plus!) The only downside was waiting for the waiter to come back, and for the check. I hate when wait staff say they are understaff. I would like to come back when this place get fully staff.(It happen last time, too.) But the food is excellent.
