Only truly affordable food in Portsmouth, and with reasonable hours! Reliable and consistent quality and the staff is always very friendly, unless it’s jam packed in there(in which case give em a break). Love the laid back atmosphere and the plethora of options! Best place in town. My favorite is the BBQ chicken burrito, their tofu and any of their tacos(especially on $ 2 taco Tuesday).

Last minute choice to eat here. It was $ 2.00 Tuesday Taco(soft taco). Not bad for the price and comes with a side of tortilla chips. You can get your choice of white, corn, or whole wheat tortilla taco. Topped with lettuce, your choice of salsa, and sour cream or yogurt. Made fresh to order.

Recently I finally went to this place and it was great. Forget ‘chipot-lame’ go to this chill/cool/friendly old school mexi place. reminded me of similar places out west. i got a burrito and it was actually tasty and filling — and it didn’t just have rice in it(i’m talking about you boloco). they also have an awesome selection of sauces and their homemade tortillas are great. Look forward to going back and trying some more of the menu.

What a diamond in the rough! Mexican food actually seasoned! This will be on our permanent list of awesome hole in the wall places! Carnitas burrito with cilantro, great recommendation. Loved it!

Great food and a great value. We had two soft tacos, a burrito, a garden salad(big enough for two to share), and two Modelos for under $ 30. All were fresh and well prepared. Casual, bring your own food to your table or take it out(lovely harborside park nearby). We will definitely be back.

Good food, friendly staff, and fast service. There have been a few times that my order has been a bit off though, but even on busy nights they make great burritos.

Always my go to! Healthier than chipotle, and gluten-free friendly if you opt for a bowl rather than a burrito. Always has us coming back!

Casual dinning, quick service and great food! Awesome downtown location! The food seemed very fresh, guacamole was some of the best I’ve had!

This place is great and we love their weekday specials. The wait is never too bad. They use good ingredients and that makes all the difference. Rev. John Robert Roose Burlington, VT Wilmington, DE

Decent food IF… The employees actually listen to what you order and don’t just guess… AND if you don’t order to0 close(within 45 mins) of closing. I live almost DIRECTLY across the street from this place. I order often… 1. They never get the order right… ever!!! I mean EVER, it is shocking. ZERO attention to detail. I’m not exaggerating… Missing dressings, incorrect or missing sides. something is always messed up… it’s a running joke at my house. 2. What’s even worse… The people that work here are not in sync with management’s set hours. They give attitude when calling within 30 mins of close for food… I was told no fish tacos because they already dumped the oil ½ hour(at least) before close. The attitude continues when you show up to GET your food. Today(10/20/2014) we ordered at 10:30pm and got the usual bad attitude on the phone and the typical snotty service when picking up the food at 10:45pm…They had the music cranking and stools were all up and they were cleaning up at 10:45. The girl with the long blonde hair and nose piercing practically threw my order at me. Working at a taco joint is a transient job. fair enough.but you took the job… so do it right and have pride in what you do… no?

I am so grateful for our serendipitous stumbling upon Dos Amigos Burritos! If you are in Portland and craving a Mexican nibble, go here. It’s your standard hole-in-the-wall taco house, but the service is chill and friendly and the food knocks it out of the park. We split two Baja fish tacos and the steak quesadilla. The fish tacos were so on point, it was ridiculous. The fish is fried fresh when you order it, and I think that makes it so much better. The toppings add just the right amount of freshness and flavor — definitely opt for the corn tortilla. The steak in the quesadilla was so good, and the accompanying hot sauce is delicious drizzled on top. The only disappointment was the rice and beans, which we thought were bland and lifeless. I highly recommend ordering some chips and salsa or guacamole. Just for the chips. Ok, you could just order the chips, but the salsa was so flavorful and fresh — we had both the mild and spicy. I have never had tortilla chips with pepper on them, and this is a genius idea. There is limited seating on the sidewalk outside if you’d prefer to enjoy the weather, but inside is just as pleasant. There are limited beer options if you prefer that to fountain or bottled drinks, and take-out is available.

Not so great; very pricey for a burrito for the hole-in-the-wall look from outside. My carnitas burrito was 8.18 and it was very mediocre. It does come with a few nacho chips on the side. The size of the burrito is about average. I would personally prefer chipotle, boloco

OK I almost regret having eaten their diabolical Baja Fish tacos for the first time in 2010. Know why. Well it’s because since then I’ve never left satisfied eating a fish taco in any other establishment in a 1000 mile radius! Damn it feels like the scene in Liar Liar. When the ‘other’ waiters ask if I liked their tacos. I’m almost tempted to exclaim ‘I’ve had better!‘ Dos Amigos Fish Tacos FTW!

Greeted by… no one… as we walked in. Their faces said we were a bother. The food literally had ZERO flavor. We got a steak burrito and a chicken burrito that tasted like… nothing. Mainly rice. Barely any meat. The little bit of meat that was inside didn’t even taste fresh. Almost like they made it earlier and pulled it from a fridge to use when needed. It wasn’t hot? The steak was chewy. Not even decent meat. Totally disappointed and will not return. I would rather spend more money and get a better experience at Agave a few doors down.

I was in Portsmouth for the afternoon and needed a quick and easy meal. The prices are very reasonable here. I was able to find a meat free option easily. And had more than one option! And no dairy was not a problem. I think this was a great meal and I will return.

I have been to Dos a number of times(hehe). I even remember my very first burrito here… sweet potato and it was oh so yummy. But ever since then, it has been a big hit/miss for me. Some days it really hits the spot. Other days, it tastes like I’m eating a bunch of unseasoned mush. If it wasn’t my friend’s favorite burrito place, I probably wouldn’t even bother going. But alas, I still gave it at least 3 stars? That’s because I still order food every time I do come here(my friend does the driving).

I’ve been to this place a ton of times because I live in Somersworth and it’s the closest burrito place to me. However, the food is crap. I don’t like the burritos, they just plain are bad. I really can’t give much more of a detailed review other than that– theyre just bad haha. When Im sitting at home and thinking«MAN I want a burrito!» I literally will tell myself my only choices are to not eat one or drive 30 minutes to Newington to Chipotle. Because Dos Amigos burritos are not worth it at all.
