One of the oldest greatest coffee places in Portland, I love it it’s make me feel home and my everyday vanilla late is just as I like. I also really enjoy from the employees there I always recommending that wonderful coffee shop!

Stopped in the other day, they had really friendly service! I was excited to see they offered Stumptown coffee, which still tasted good for how late in the afternoon it was. When I realized they carried baked goods from Fleur De Lis I picked out an almond crossiant, and definitely had no regrets about it after I took the first delicious bite. Would stop back any time!

Terrific low key nieghborhood coffe shop, with one catch– the drip coffee is fantastic. My gf is really fussy about her drip coffee in the morning, and this is one of a few places that does it well. The owner is very attentive and gets us out drinks asap, while making sure new ppl are taken care of as well. Pastries are fluer de lis, and I ethane an almond croissant almost every time…

Wow the 2-star reviews here are just so DUMB! This place has made me 2 coffees so far, the first a drop with cream and sugar; loved it! Today, skim latte: satisfies well! The chocolate croissant was also on point… this coming from a Southern Frenchman! It was nice to dip in the coffee, flaky just right, and the chocolate was good quality. I got excited on my way to change my oil across the street when I remembered this place was here!

VERY watery regular coffee, overly strong cappuccino that didn’t taste anything like a cappuccino and no soda for the Italian sodas. Pretty lame when a small coffee shop can’t get the simple things right…

Like many, I frequent different coffee houses for different experiences. Here, I get a laid-back owner, great prices, frequent buyer card, and COFFEE ice cubes. As an ice-coffee fan, these are great; I wonder why they’re not more popular around town? Locals like it here and conversation is plenty. Add-in the convenient pull-up parking and proximity to the awesome Breakfast Burrito trailer and Wholesome Blends is a winner.

To be clear, I never ordered anything here … but I can’t justify giving them more than 2 stars based on false advertising. Their sign clearly reads«Wholesome Blends Espresso and Juice Bar,» so being on a juice fast, I figured that I’d pop in and get some juice on my way to school the other day. The problem is that they don’t have any. They have Odwalla(which is owned by Pepsi Co and on the list of GMO companies), which does not constitute a juice bar. This was so disappointing! Given the fact that I didn’t budget enough time to go somewhere else before school, I ended up missing a juice for the day … which if you’ve ever done a juice fast is kind of a big deal! Also, after I explained to the barista that I was on a juice fast and couldn’t have anything they had to offer, she offered me a hemp smoothie! Ha! I won’t be back.

They keep it real in here! Coffee prepared the way it should be too. They remember what you are drinking after a couple of regular visits. Nice on those mornings that I haven’t really woken up yet.

I recently moved to Portland and coming to Wholesome Blends daily has been one of the things that has made this time of transition much more pleasant. The owner is wonderful and welcoming. He learns your drink pretty much from your first visit and his sunny disposition makes even a rainy winter day seem brighter!(And this is not hyperbole, it is truth!) The drinks are made well and the bagels are delicious! I would recommend this place without hesitation to all! It is homey and friendly — and the art on the walls changes monthly which is a wonderful opportunity to expose new artists and give customers the chance to get a new perspective on life every few weeks! Check it out if you haven’t already been there! You will not regret it!

A comfortable hang out, but the big plus is they know how to prepare Stumptown coffee and have 20 oz. cups for iced drinks. I don’t know what the one reviewer’s problem with keeping the milk and half & half in the little fridge is, I’d rather it stay cold and fresh. Some toys in the corner for small kids, a chess board that gets used, and the gas station set up makes it easy to pull up to get a drink and go fast. Pretty great!

I don’t get this place. My coworker loves it, but I think their coffee is godawful. Both the drip and the espresso taste extremely over-extracted and bitter. I gave this place plenty of opportunities, too. Most of the time I was in there, I felt unwelcome and rushed. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’d rather go to Starbucks.

I got no beef with the coffee in this place, but i often travel further for a different experience. The owner of this place has some sweet old bikes and cars. So, why then, does the inside of this old gas station look so thrown together in an afternoon? It looks like someone was in a rush to open a business and then just left it that way. Fix it! Then put some thought into where folks stir milk and sugar into their black. I guess it feels like home when I get to open up the fridge and help myself to the milk. But it’s awkward pouring a tablespoon of milk from a gallon container. Pony up and get some containers for the counter. It’s nicer. It’s like you are encouraging me to stay home and make my own coffee. And… Some folks will insist that you have the old«clean spoon, dirty spoon» setup for stirring. Not me, but please replace the current system. Flimsy plastic straws? Again, the coffee tastes great, but this place looks and feels like a front for an illegal enterprise.
