A great little café that offers A LOT. Great smoothies, juices, teas and food. Lots of GF and vegan options. Enjoyed a great GF waffle w/peanut butter and banana. Sat here for 3 hours catching up with a friend, enjoying a pot of tea and treats. Can be loud at times when the blenders start going, but only for a few minutes. Was busy for most of the time we were there. Can be a little tricky to find… it’s in the shopping strip vs. on a main road.

I don’t rate service, ambiance, cleanliness and wait times; they are too variable. I can put up with anything if the food is good. It is all about the food– that’s it. All of my ratings are based on vegan options only. Notes: A-OK. I got the Vegan Sausage Bagel Sandwich and a Classic Juice. The juice was good. Everything on the bagel was delicious. Lots of avocado. Sausage was great. The bagel was stale and not good at all. It would be really good if they had better bagels. Definitely going to give this place another chance because the other stuff on the menu looked fantastic. Has potential.

Super dank smoothies!!! The Matilda is the way to go! It’s like a juice but smoothie form! There’s bits of banana and dates which I love!!! Very satisfying to the taste buds!

I got the jalapeño waffle sandwich and was surprised to learn that the waffle batter was made with bananas? I’m guessing so that it’d be vegan friendly. The flavors went together alright, but had I known prior, I probably would’ve opted for a different waffle. The lady behind the counter was pretty nonchalant about the banana batter, as if we should’ve just expected that. It’d be nice to have some kind of warning about the peculiar flavors, either from the person taking the order, or even just written SOMEWHERE on the menu.

I like that everything here is healthy and that they juice, but every time I’ve came here they are out of something. One time they were out of bagels… And it was in the middle of the afternoon… Next they were out of a flavor of bagel… Then they were out of dates for my drink I ordered. Kind of annoying when u spend a decent amount of $ on a smoothie and it doesn’t even have all the ingredients in it… Oh and I got a hummus veggie sandwich with an everything bagel cuz that was what was left for some reason and the bagel was rock hard…

Nectar café is so damn good! The staff is super nice and helpful and the food is to die for! Great for vegans and non-vegans!

I have a theory. It is hard to find good vegetarian food, I mean seriously difficult. The food, even at this modern moment with all the vegetarian options, can be bland and unsatisfying. For that reason, when a vegetarian eatery shines in any way at all it tends to get rave reviews. I think that is happening with Nectar Café. I had the jalapeño waffle, and from all the raves I expected to be transported to food nirvana. But it was just a good waffle. The coffee was kind of bleh. I looked around at what others were having and it all looked okay, but not what I expected after reading the reviews. As a vegetarian eatery I suppose this one is better than others, but as a place for anyone to eat at, it’s unremarkable. Service is friendly but slow, the interior is run down, the food is just food.

Being gluten and dairy free, finding a place to eat out can be hard. Finding a place where my husband can find something is even more difficult. I loved this little café. They have a versatile menu(though no meat). They bake their pastries fresh and had carrot cake fresh from the oven and still warm. I had kale and potato soup with a cauliflower base, and a side salad. The coffee and chai were both delicious. They have cow, almond, hemp, rice and soy milk. The gluten free waffles looked great and were served in a variety of ways. I will have to try them next time.

Really simple food in a really home-y environment. The waffle sandwich really hits the spot and the smoothies are pretty tasty too. Low key vibe with wi-fi and a coffee shop feel. It’s kind of tucked away and doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

Had to walk in a few circles to find this place. It’s a cute small café. The service was fast and friendly. The drinks were okay but it was kind of pricey for the size of the drink.

Vegan. Tea. Coffee. Sandwiches. Waffles. A few other items if you looking for a quick snack. Excellent place to sit down for some work or reading.

After multiple visits, I must say I’m thrilled to have Nectar Café, an almost entirely vegan establishment, within walking distance of my neighborhood. I’ve tried a soup de jour(curried butternut squash), the Wilber smoothie, & most recently, the BBQ tempeh wrap. Each item was very flavorful, competitively priced for the portion, & served swiftly with a smile. I look forward to visiting often.

Love this place! So much so, that my Husband and I have been here 4x in the past week. The owner is so incredibly welcoming and gives off the friendliest vibe. The smoothies,(best I’ve tried in PDX), and cold brew are addicting. You’ve been warned! We haven’t tried much of the food yet, however, the cup of chili was delicious and had a slight kick to it. And the portion size was generous. We’ll be back to try the jalapeño waffle sandwich, for sure!

Okay, so I just tried one of their smoothies, the Wilber to be exact and OMG!!! Not exaggerating when I say mind blowing mouthgasm! The mango dominates the rainbow of flavor with peach slipping in a few moments later and Apple pulling it all together. The portion is very generous and did I mention it’s amazing? And $ 4? That’s what’s up! You can clearly tell the fruit used is fresh and probably grown locally to boot. I can’t wait to try every smoothie on the menu. The wife had their cold brewed coffee(I surprised her with it a few mornings ago) and could tell she had it before by it’s taste and replied with a smile showing her sign of approval and delight. Next we each got a cup of chili. Mouthgasm yet again! It was hot but just hot enough where you can handle small scoops of it to get started on your taste buds adventure. The chili had bursts of so many flavors it was a pleasant surprise. It also tasted like it was made with fresh local grown ingredients. It was just the right spicy(for me, and I like spicy so might be too much for some to handle. It has jalapenos in it). No meat, as expected but was so good and full of flavor I wasn’t missing it. The beans were cooked just right so they weren’t dry. This too was just $ 4 and for the quality an absolute bargain! Serving size was also generous. We love that this place is so close to home.

The place is modest in size. They have a decent selection of flavours. Thankfully they let you sample before you buy cause I almost made the mistake of getting the red velvet which was disgusting. I stuck with mango, raspberry and vanilla with only each being a 5″ yogurt snakes. I stuck to only the mid weight toppings at ¾ each per scoop and only come 0.3 oz off my prediction, total weight was 10.8 oz = $ 5.50 approx. It was easy for me to get carried away with the large container, however, had myself in check. Friendly customer service and free wifi.

Nice spot exactly as advertised with strong PDX ambience. Helpful staff! Coffee shop with actual juicing juice bar & food. Very vegan friendly but they also have dairy milk for espresso drinks.

They have juice! and a juicer! Not stuff in a bottle! I’ve been a few times — it’s a tiny space, so there can be a wait when it gets crowded, but so worth it. Great coffee also.

I love fresh juices and came here to try their Mojito($ 6) which has cucumber, apple, mint, and lime. Very refreshing and a great way to cool down. My complaint though is the inside of the café smelled very odd/spicy and was making me feel sick. I came on a Sunday and turns out they have bottomless mimosa on Sundays for just $ 10 that are made with fresh orange juice.

This place is everything I could possibly want out of a juice bar/café. Several interesting smoothies and juices from $ 4, coffee drinks, good wifi, friendly service, chill atmosphere with funky upholstered chairs, and outdoor seating. They had a bunch of extra things that surprised me — an interesting veggie breakfast/lunch menu including a several types of waffles, three beers on tap(currently Total Domination IPA, an oatmeal pale ale, and a cider), and mimosas — both regular and a mojito one made with their cucumber/apple/mint/lime juice! On Sundays they offer all-day bottomless mimosas for $ 10. Will be back to check that out!

You NEED to find the Nectar Café! Seriously, one of the best hidden gems in Northeast Portland. Suz and Ann had iced café Americano’s with coconut milk. I had the«Carlton» smoothie and substituted coconut milk for ice cream because I’m being good. Great coffee. They do their own roasting. The smoothie selection is superb! Nectar Café also has very nice pastry choices from Petunia’s. All in all Nectar Café KICKSASS and BALLS!
