If I could give them a zero I would. Two front receptionists were extremely unprofessional. Now I understand why the poor reviews. There were 90% of tables available. They both ere promising that we would be seated in a minute and 15 minutes went by. Fine, if it was reservation only just say it. To make matters worse everytime I would ask about seating they would keep promising, giggle and continue on phone. Horrible restaurant etiquette. Would not recommend it. Had been coming here. almost a regular but service has changed and it is BAD! Drove to Pomona Valley Mining Co. and service was exceptional. Visit Pomona Mining instead. Seated in less than 2 minutes.

Everything about this place is amazing, from valet parking to great food to awesome hilltop views. Came here for Valentine’s Day brunch and our server Aaron was attentive and kept my mimosas filled the whole time. The manager was very friendly and accommodating also; seeing that my dad was in a wheelchair he brought us to a location where my dad could enjoy a great view and have enough space to maneuver. The three piece band came and did a short set right next to us which added to the amazing ambiance. I’ll definitely come back in the future, I can’t wait to have dinner here!

Came here for a wedding invitation. My dinner was the palomilla with onions on top, some veggies, sweet plantain, and brown rice. The brown rice is surprisingly good! My husband got a salmon steak, yellow rice and sweet plantain as well. Generally, everything is good, except for the yellow rice. The ambience is great. The view is gorgeous! You can see the city lights from the windows and the balconies. Love it. Definitely a romantic place to go. Servers are so thoughtful too. Perfect place for a romantic night.

We made reservations for 8 via open table for my nieces birthday. We showed up a few minutes late and they seated us within 10 min. The hostess was very professional and so was our waiter. The brunch was delicious! I pretty much ate most items, ceviche, king crab legs, paella, rice and flan. It was a great experience. My family had never been there and they loved it! The kids loved the birds and fishes outside. Great distraction for them.

Great food. Could-have-some-better service. First off: I didn’t know there was supposed to be a «dress code» at this restaurant since I came in with a plaid shirt, jeans, and a zip-up red hoodie, but thankfully, the host didn’t notice. If I came dressed in a suit and tie, they WOULD let me off the hook, but no reservations, no seating, so the host asked us to sit at the waiting booth, but he was kind enough to ask us whether we want to look at a menu and start off with a couple of drinks when he finds us our seats. For dinner tonight, I ordered the«Churrasco,» which is a marinated skirt steak in a red-wine reduced au jus sauce(cooked medium rare), and I had an issue with such dish: The issue was that the meat didn’t taste hot enough, so the waiter was kind enough to have the cook grill it up again, and the second time, it tasted hot like how a steak was supposed to taste. The onions were perfectly grilled/caramelized, and the yucca mashed potatoes tasted great. But then, when I told the waiter to get my steak grilled up, I didn’t realise that he took my steak knife with my plate. I called the waiter a couple of times, waving/raising my hand, and he either turned to look at me and turned his head back, or walked past my table without noticing. Five minutes later, he came up to me and I told him I was missing my steak knife. He was kind enough to get me a new steak knife, and when I cut into the steak, the juice came out of the meat, and it didn’t taste either rubbery or dry. The second issue I had for tonight at this restaurant was valet parking. Who PAYS for valet parking??? Yes, I could understand that you could pay for valet parking at an establishment in either Beverly Hills or Newport Beach somewhere, but this is the CITYOFPOMONA! I didn’t see a single Mercedes-Benz, BMW, or even a Maserati parked out tonight. So, one star out for paying for valet parking, and another start left out for tonight’s service.

This place has stunning views. I am a wedding officiant and I love this place for weddings. Here is my review. The pros: valet parking, stunning views, great food. Great staff The cons: they may have more than one event on your day. Friday’s they have club night so your guest may get harassed by strangers.

Review is for the SUNDAYBRUNCH. Did not like the cafeteria line like set up of the place. It feels like there is not enough food being offered and its in a hall way! would have given this a 2 star if it weren’t for their good food. Home cooked meal style, and the amigos playing live at your table. Will i be back? Maybe not

Over all: dinner = 4 stars.(Delicious food, great service) Brunch on Saturday = 2 stars.(Very limited selection on food.) Beverages are not included. Ie. Coffee. Price: it’s more on the expensive side.(Affordable but on the pricier side) Parking: they have a private lot. Location: it over looks the 10 freeway. Lots of palm trees around. They have a male blue and gold macaw in the entrance of the restaurant. Next to a little water fountain on the opposite side. Very nice. The inside: is well kept. Modern/contemporary furniture/tables. The outside: patio area is nice. Their steps could use some repairs.(Of the them have chunks that have fallen off over time) Side note: make a reservation if you want a table inside. If not, you will more than likely be seated in the bar area or the outside patio area.(According to the note on the door today) The service: pretty good over all each time I have gone. Opinion: best for dinner time.

Buffets are only on the weekends which is children friendly. I wouldn’t bring children for dinner. The buffet choices are limited. Small salad & fruit bar, a few appetizers and the entrees. I posted pictures of the buffet section. I loved the ceviche, yucca & the seafood rice. Black beans were great & you really can’t go wrong with the plantains. crispy fish was a bit salty but I combatted that with the yucca & salad. I put a bit of the ropa vieja sauce on my crispy fish & it was delicious. I wouldn’t come here on the regular just because the buffet is kind of expensive for the amount of choices they have but the flavors were solid. Desserts consist of flan and assorted cakes. I loved the guava cake. It had a flan top, guava jam layer & a chocolate crust. Deliciouso! Update: coconut flan is questionable. Didn’t enjoy the raisins or coconut. Best bet is the guava flan or the regular flan.

Not impressed. More like a 2.5 star rating. This place has the potential to be a really nice restaurant, but I think the location and the fact that it’s not a part of a hotel hurts the flow of patrons. To start, there is no valet.(open table said valet only) I didn’t see anyone outside, but I was glad not to pay the $ 5 because there was plenty of close self parking. Walking in, the décor and entryway seem outdated. This place felt old. No host in front and no warm greeting. In the reservation, I noted that this was for a wife’s birthday and that she was 9 months pregnant. No acknowledgement the whole night of either event. I wasn’t expecting a parade, but a nice«Happy Birthday» would’ve been nice. Also funny that they asked if I would like a cocktail. The dining room was noisy and I felt like I was eating at a Chili’s or Claim Jumpers. There were a lot of families this night and 2 with crying babies. I love kids, but not for special occasions. Now looking back at the experience, this was NOT a special occasion restaurant. The prices were average, which should have been an indicator that this was just an average restaurant. The food itself was ok, nothing great or special. I have to say that the best dish was the complimentary bread and warm black bean dip. Lobster bisque– Salty Calamares Fritos– Good Parrillada De Marisco– Overcooked and salty. The best part was the rice, which I took home with the rest of our leftovers. Costillas De Cerdo– Sounded fancy. Just turned out to be BBQ ribs. They were okay. The julienned potatoes were half soggy and cold. Total pre tip was $ 83. Not worth a trip back here even though we live literally down the hill in La Verne.

I just got married Saturday October 17, and our whole experience from the very start was great! We had the bolero room and had 80 guests. Tony and Desiree were always so quick to respond to our emails. The waiting staff was amazing they were on top of everything and catering to all our guests. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out it was exactly how we expected it! Tony was amazing he was so attentive and checking if we needed anything. The food was delicious every course was brought out at a good timing we didn’t feel rushed to eat. I can’t think of a single thing that went wrong with our experience with the coco palm everything was truly amazing and we owe it all to the staff.

We just had our wedding here both ceremony and reception was outside at the«Tropicana Terrace» evening wedding, it was just breathtaking the views were amazing! Throughout my entire planning of my wedding I worked closely with Patty and Tony. They both made me feel like I was part of their family, extremely attentive, very professional and overall just amazing! Every time I had a question or concern Patty was always there to answer my questions and help me with everything she made it so easy for me. The day of my wedding Tony came up to see me at the bridal suite to make sure everything was ok and if I needed anything. He wanted to make sure that I had eaten something, he brings me a menu and orders me lunch.(I’m telling you I felt like I was family) they truly care. I cannot thank you both enough, your kindness, understanding and overall service is just incredible.

This place is really a great place to unwind and catch up with friends. It is nestled on top of the hill. The ambiance is relaxing, elegant and classy. I went on a weekday evening. I love this place because they have Aqua Panna. The bread and black beans are served before your meal and it is enough to fill your. The bread is served piping hot, along with the beans. The texture of the bread and beans compliment each other and it just plain heaven. My Lobster Bisque was the perfect temperature. However, it was a tad bit too salty for me. My main dish was the Bbq ribs. The ribs was fall off the bone good! It was quite a good balance of sweet and savory. The service was exquisite I felt so well attend to. I gave ten 4 stars because my main dish came pretty long. However, that issue did not effect my whole experience.

Five stars for our first time here at Coco Palm! Our Brunch went very well and our experience was flawless. I feel bad for the guests that did not reserve ahead of time for Father’s day. My wife called in a month ahead for our reservation. For this busy day we drove in and valet parking was in order for $ 5. We tipped afterwards. The environment: Welcoming at the entrance plus there is a parrot to greet the guests. There is a bar with flat screen tvs playing sports. The Coco Palm is built to handle wedding events and other parties. Lots of photo opportunities on its exterior and great view of the hills and the 10 freeway. The seating and tables are located inside and the balcony. For today we ate inside due to the heat. The staff: They were all helpful, friendly, attentive and kind. They even had 3 male singers with their harmonious guitars. The food: Brunch style with unlimited mimosas. Their signature dish from the buffet is the ox tail and prime rib. Their next best is the paella. The buffet is not ginormous but it holds its own and can handle the crowd of today. There is also seafood like raw oysters, fish ceviche, shrimp and crab legs. The food is kept at the correct temperature and they are always replenished. There is also bacon, waffles, and other breakfast essentials. Overall: we will come back and book an event there.

Great food and great service. The crew were very attentive from the very beginning. From the setup of the tables and chairs and extra corner table. They helped setup the sound system too. Servers were busy and helping out non-stop. The food selection was great. The food presentaion and tastes were all done perfectly. The guests love the fish, lechon and fried plantain. The guests liked the whole place so much that they would like to have their own event here in the future as well. My mom’s 90th birthday celebration went perfectly well due in part to the professionalism of the Coco Palm crew and management. Thank you all. One caveat. Saturdays are busy. There will be other groups celebrating in the restaurant. If you want your guests to avoid the long buffet line, have them start lining up early. Or better yet, for an extra fee, have your own buffet spread in your room. Yes, I am giving 5 stars. These guys know what they are doing. To top it all, my mom was very happy.

I’ve had my eye on this place for years and I finally got around to going. Can’t believe it took me this long! The grounds where beautiful! Coco Palm is a hidden gem up in the hills of Pomona by the fairplex! There is a dress code which I actually liked. My BF and I dressed for the occasion. We were told that there was required $ 5 valet but when we got there we were able to park ourselves for free(it was a Tuesday night. Not too busy). You enter the restaurant through this covered walkway with a pond and a cage of tropical birds NOT the gate labeled COCOROOM. That’s the banquet hall. There is a little touchscreen TV photo booth inside by the door that let’s u take an adorable free souvenir photo then post to FB or email to yourself! The of food was phenomenal! My BF and I had lobster bisque to start and the complimentary buttered bread and black bean dip! All delicious! For our entrees, my BF got the Churrasca with yucca mash and I got the salmon with jumbo scallops! Everything was delicious! Plated as pictures and cooked to perfection! We finished with the Pan De Pudin with vanilla but ice cream and it was SPECTACULAR! If I had 1 little complaint, it was that it was a bit difficult to hunt our server down. She would disappear for long periods of time, but luckily there would always be someone else around to refill our waters and find our server for us. The manager would also check on us and clear our table regularly which was great. Our server was very pleasant when we would see her, it just would’ve been nice if she was easier to find. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with a gorgeous view. We also took the time to walk around the property and check out the terrace! We will definitely be back! We plan on trying their tomahawk steak for two! Highly recommend the Coco Palm if you’re looking for a romantic date night spot! Our dinner for 2 only came out to $ 75! Very reasonable for the quality of food and the ambience!

View-5 stars. Lovely view since you’re on top of the hill. Parking-1 star. Valet only? Really? Cmon! Food — 4 stars. I’m from Florida so I know what Cuban food is suppose to taste like. Here on the West Coast its hard to find a good Cuban place to meet that standard. This place is good. Not out of this world… but good. The Churrasco steak I ordered was tasty and moist. The chilean sea bass that my husband got was just as good. Service — 4 stars. No complaints.
