The company is paying so I’m trying a variety of items. The house Cabernet is tasty. The spinach salad is delightful. I am enticed by the red fish Pontchartrain, but this is Dallas, not New Orleans, and I am disappointed. The fish is fishy tasting and the Cajun spice is minimal. I make the same mistake twice, by ordering the bread pudding, thinking again that I am near Louisiana. Again I am disappointed. The Bourbon sauce is weak and the addition of coconut is not traditional for bread pudding, and in my mind not what I was expecting.

First time there and the food was wonderful. The only bad thing is they close pretty early for a weekend night. Will definitely return as the dishes were sown of my favorite in the legacy shops.

Our company had the privilege of hosting many business lunches and dinners at Artin’s American Grill. We have had great reviews from our attendees about the food, service, and venue. Bud, who helped plan the event, was extremely helpful, detail oriented, accommodating, and professional. The entire planning process with Bud was extremely easy, smooth, and pleasant. The staff was attentive to our needs, the food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous and they provided a wonderful experience for our clients. We look forward to hosting future events at Artin’s American Grill when we return to the area.

I’ve been here on a few occasions for happy hour. The prices are too bad and the drinks are stiff. Micheal usual takes care of us during our visits and he is always attentive. The happy hour sliders are really good! Nice place and good staff.

Love this place. It has the best calamari in Dallas! The calamari is always good, never chewy, and that sweet asian sauce the put on it make it a must order every time I go. I go to this place when I want good food but do not want to wait anywhere. Artin’s has always been a reliable dinner spot. The food is great every time we go, the drinks are always some of the best. I never have a hard time getting a last minute table even though the restaurant always seems to be full.

I think that this restaurant is one of the best in Dallas. For me it measures up to a Houston’s experience. I took my wife out for dinner, they were really busy, but we were seated with a very short wait. The staff has a casual but professional demeanor. Servers dressed nice, but wear jeans. I like the touch. We started with their crab cake appetizer. Delicious. High quality crab with no signs of filler, only enough on the outside to sear. We got a visit from the manager about 10min after ordering, «Sorry sir, we had to re-do your appetizer, the first one did not come out to our standards, another will be out in a couple minutes.» No problem by me. I’ll drink another glass of wine and be happy to dine at a restaurant with high standards. For the entrée we both ordered what the server suggested. At this point I trusted her choices. I got the Braised Short Ribs and my wife got the Redfish Pontchartrain(Think is spelled that right?). Both were awesome. Short Ribs came with mushroom mac&cheese, fish came with garlic mashed potatoes, crabmeat, and grilled shrimp. Keep in mind that prices are high here, but very worth the price. I will keep this restaurant in mind for special occasions and when I feel like splurging. Thanks Artin’s for a great experience!

Fantastic lunch service. And a damn good Kobe burger. I’m going to have to add this to my recommended burgers list. We had a celebratory lunch on Monday following some good news at work, so we headed to the Shops at Legacy for some bubbly and grub, and Artin’s was open at the right time and had the right menu. It’s located in the shops conveniently adjacent to the parking garage(which is complimentary) so you can park, take the elevator down, and as soon as you come out from the hall on the ground floor, it’s to your left. There is also Valet available during lunch service(and therefore dinner service as well) which is fantastic. Had we known about valet before hand, we wouldn’t have garage parked. The host was very sweet to not scoff at us for bringing a 1 month old in with us in a baby carrier. The dining room was sparsely seated, so it wasn’t an issue — and all Offspring does is sleep right now, so we were golden. Lunch menu was appetizing. We had the Carpaccio appetizer to start — tender, air-thin pounded ribeye, drizzled with a horseradish Dijon and capers, served with crostinis. Since this was my husband’s foray into carpaccio territory, I felt pretty picky about it. It was good. I’ve had superior; The meat was very fresh and lovely, but there was a distinctly raw flavor and mushy texture that I don’t recall with, say, the Flemming’s carpaccio. I also wanted a tad more mustard with the dish. But it was still quite good. We had been eyeing the Ahi tuna tartar or the Calamari as well as an appetizer and will try the tartar next time instead. For our entrees, I had the Kobe Burger, cooked medium. It’s served with onion, lettuce, tomato and pickles, and sauces on the side. I was offered fries or slaw for my side, and I opted for slaw. Good choice. The slaw is a mayo-based slaw and is so light and crisp it loses that rough cabbage texture; it’s almost airy and was very enjoyable. The dressing is probably an even vinegar-to-mayo ratio, which I liked. The burger was too heavy on the lettuce and I actually thought it would be improved by ditching the leaves altogether and just serving the slaw on it. The patty was juicy and perfectly pink, nicely flavored. All in all, it’s a good burger. My husband had the Fish & Fries — The fries are skinny cut and well seasoned, slightly crisp, and very tasty. The fish is Tempura battered and divine. It’s worth a repeat order, for sure. We plan to return for a dinner service and to try the filet. All in all, I definitely recommend Artin’s for lunch based on this meal!

Very sexy restaurant! The people look good, the servers and the food. Oh and the drinks! Had a pretty good version of a Moscow mule with berries in it. Yum. The red fish with shrimp and crab was delicious and the deserts were pretty awesome– bringing up the rear! They had a fabulous private dining section — I hope to ever have a need for — equipped with large screen tv, if you really panned to have a business meeting… Real cool place. Highly recommend it.

I absolutely love coming to Artin’s! We decided to come here for a birthday celebration. It’s quiet and quaint inside. Located by the fountains on the north side of the Shops of Legacy. The menu offers a variety of appetizers, salads and main courses. The servers are always friendly and quick to offer suggestions which I love because I’m always wanting to try something new. This restaurant is great for anniversaries, date night and holiday celebrations. We always look forward dining at Artin’s!

My husband and I came here for dinner a few weeks ago and had a fabulous meal that we’re still raving about. The ambiance was perfect, the wait staff were super nice & the food and drinks were so delicious and on point. We started with a cocktail each and the crispy calamari appetizer which was amaaaaaazing! The Thai chili sauce really added a little punch & delicious flavor. My husband had the braised short rib over the mushroom mac & cheese(phenomenal) and I had the peppercorn filet which was amazing, as well. We’ve already made reservations for New Years because we loved it THAT much. We really can’t say a bad thing about our first time there. Quickly became so talked about and much loved in our household. Do yourself a favor & try this place! It’s such a gem in the dfw restaurant scene.

I was invited here by a friend for her company’s Christmas party, and I have to say that it was a very pleasurable experience! Ok, so maybe it was pleasurable because the bill was paid for by the company. Otherwise I would be less enthusiastic about the experience, because the place is expensive! If you are one who enjoys going out, and can definitely afford it then I can guarantee your experience will be a good one! Upon entering there is a bar to the left of the hosting area which I love because sometimes long waits can be more entertaining with a couple of drinks. Another thing I absolutely loved when I was seated, was that they brought us water immediately before they asked what we really wanted to drink. They have a good drink list and you can also order what you’d like from the bar as well. I had a sample of one of their wines they were advertising called, Prisoner. Very nice! As far as the food goes, I ordered the Chicken Wild Mushroom which was the cheapest entrée on the menu at $ 19 a plate. The dish came with two grilled chicken breasts, a serving of garlic mashed potatoes, three asparagus, topped with mushrooms in a mushroom sauce. It was amazing! The serving size was just right! I came hungry and I finished the entrée without feeling overstuffed. After dinner the company purchased a celebratory shot of everyone called the Dirty Girl Scout. Basically it tasted like a thin mint Girl Scout cookie and was freaking delicious. Totally recommend! For dessert I chose the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée which is topped with three strawberry pieces. Another delicious choice! The portions for each course was just the right amount to where I felt satisfied without feeling like I over ate for the night! The customer service was very good and all the waiters were very hospitable and personal with a good sense of humor. They definitely added to the wonderful experience. Overall the night was absolutely wonderful and I definitely would like to come back when I have the funds for it! Give them a try!

This place is one of my all time favorite places to eat. The food is not only great, but it is consistently great. The wine selection is also amazing. We started with Ahi Tuna tower. It’s a great light appetizer to share with someone. So fresh and flavorful. The sauce was super light and doesn’t overpower the flavor of the tuna. Then we had the kale Caesar salad. I was not sure what to expect having kale, but it complemented well with the dressing. I’d definitely have it again. My wife had the day boat scallops with risotto(simply amazing!) and I had the pork chop with potatoes and carrots. Great, hearty meal with an amazing peach chutney to give it an excellent balance of sweet and savory. The weather was perfect outside, so we sat on the patio facing the spectacular fountain view that the Shops at Legacy is known for. It was a special occasion for us(anniversary) and our waitress gave us a complementary dessert, a card and sparkling white wine. It was a classy touch to the evening and made it extra special. Everyone who works at this place seem so nice, and they genuinely seem like they want you to have a great time. They are really personable and knowledgeable about food and wine. Our servers, Kylie and Dana really were full of personality and made sure our dining experience went flawlessly. We will definitely go back to Artin’s Grill soon.

I had the redfish and my wife had the scallops. Both were cooked to perfection. This fish was very tasty and had to be the fresh off the boat. Well prepared with delicious sauce and spices. I did passed up the smashed pirates for the cheesey grits. Fantastic. Recommended five stars but really 4.5. Décor was very nice along with staff. Wish they remove the frosting from the kitchen Windows so we can watch the chef and team work.

Another gem at the Shops at Legacy! I have been here several times, and it is a great place for a date, a girls’ night out, or even a family dinner. It is a more upscale restaurant with fancy décor, including pretty chandeliers. Attire leans more toward dressy than casual. I always get the Crispy Calamari to start(one of the best in town!), but everything else I have tried has been delicious. Their service is courteous, but not overwhelming. Street parking can be hard to find, but they have valet and a garage nearby.

Artin’s is a bit of a sleeper in a neighborhood surrounded by eateries, bars and nightclubs all fighting for your eyes, your dollars and your sanity. It never seems like you meet anyone who has been here, yet the place has maintained steady business for a number of years from at least a few people. Clearly, Artin’s is doing something right! Well, as it turns out, they do several things right. If you have ever been to a Hillstone/Houston’s, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect here: outstanding food, excellent service, posh décor and the possibility of seeing people wearing clothes that cost more than a month’s salary. Artin’s reminds me a lot of the aforementioned places, which is a serious compliment since I know no one who has ever had a bad experience in either of those places. And I would wager a guess that you have to actively try to have a subpar visit to Artin’s, because just walking in the place is kind of a treat. A small waiting room opens up into a bar with a hostess stand directly in front of you. Seats at the bar are available, but I would think the various high top tables lining the windows are better real estate in this room. For one, you have a great view of that fountain outside that changes colors and mesmerizes patrons on their fourth Moscow Mule. For another, there are two tables immediately to the right when you walk in between the waiting room and the next dining room that look to offer a bit more privacy. Although, privacy can definitely be had in the rest of the restaurant, it looks like. A private dining room is right off the entrance and it looks to accommodate a good amount of visitors. The booths in the far-reaching dining room are kind of enveloping, even when the place is packed with diners. And the patio looks to be completely covered, as an added bonus. So now that we have figured out where to sit if we want to be in our own little world, how is the service to get us there? Nothing short of spectacular. When we walked in for dinner, a gentleman behind the front desk welcomed us and took us to a booth in the next room. In a matter of seconds, Brion greeted us and graciously walked us newbies through the menu. It may be a two-sided handout, but trust me: this menu has variety to spare, both in terms of food to eat and drinks to drown in. Brion’s easygoing delivery eased all of us into a relaxing meal, which would have been terrific if that’s where the story ended. But the man made two recommendations on the menu that elevated Artin’s into unquestionable five-star status. To put it succinctly, you need their beef short ribs. On a cold night, I would imagine these are ethereal with taste, comfort and a quality often whispered about by old wise men atop mountains that only the lucky get to meet. But for all the praise those ribs get, and they deserve a lot, they do not hold a candle to the accompanying mushroom mac and cheese. I’m not even about to quantify that taste in words because the English language knows no such words. And the redfish pontchartrain with roasted garlic potatoes, crab, shrimp and cajun sauce was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. Seriously, I never genuinely clean my plate but I would have been kicking myself if I left anything on the plate after ordering this meal.(There was also a chopped club salad ordered but, eh… it was apparently very tasty, but it was no short ribs or redfish.) Unfortunately, by this time our stomachs had caught up with our eyes and we could not finish both of our desserts — a delectable key lime pie(with an orange slice covered in dark chocolate!) and a crème brûlée that might actually be a lethal weapon of sweetness. Artin’s is one of those places you keep up your sleeve if your date asks you about going out for dessert and a drink because, hello: it’s wonderful and you may get brownie points for going someplace«exclusive.» But potential brownie points aside, Artin’s does deserve to rise above it’s somewhat subdued reputation. Finding fault with a place like this might be possible, but you’re going to be exhausted and unhappy if you do. See for yourself. No, seriously: please see for yourself. It’s worth experiencing.

Came here with my hubby for a date night. We’ve been to a lot of the other restaurants in the area, but never Artin’s. I guess we always assumed it was too hoity toity I guess. We were given a voucher from a family member, so we couldn’t turn that down. Décor: Very fancy inside; everything’s dark of course. It’s more on the quiet side and not crowded at all for a Thursday night. Nice mood lighting though with chandeliers and all that jazz. It’s more dressy casual, so you might feel awkward in shorts. Service: Our waiter was Jeff and we were very impressed! We haven’t had such great service in a long time. He was very kind and gave us recommendations. We never felt rushed or looked down(cuz that’s how I feel sometimes when I go to fancy places). He was very professional and smiled and joked with us some. He refilled our water several times and cleaned up after me mostly with whatever crumbs I left on the table. With his slick hair and smile and clear prominent voice, I was so convinced he should be doing some commercial advertisement! But anyhoo, we really liked him. And also, we ended up not being able to use our voucher b/c it expired, but he was kind enough to give us a complimentary dessert so that was like extra brownie points for him! Food: Thai style calamari — a sweet and spicy party in your mouth. It’s already pre-coated with the sauce so each bite was flavorful and the crispyness was up to par. It wasn’t overdone nor was it soggy even up until the last bite. Braised Short Ribs — it’s on a bed of mushroom sauce infused macaroni and topped with fried onion strings with some skinny green beans on the sides. The green beans just made it look pretty, but the braised meat was divine. They were tender and fell apart almost instantly with a punch full of flavor in each bite. I equally loved the macaroni as well with that special mushroom sauce that I wish I could can and store it in my pantry. This was the 2nd party in my mouth. Kobe burger — it was really big, so you need to cut it if you don’t want to be a slob at this fancy restaurant. That was good too and you can really taste the difference in the kobe beef vs a regular burger by far. It came with fries which were a great crunchy texture, but it lacked more seasoning. Now if they made it with truffle fries, then that would be stupendous! Crème Brule — a great ending to this delectable dinner. The top coating had that crisp burnt sugar that broke when you tapped it. It was a treat to taste the warm sugar with the cool creamy pudding like texture underneath. And then you need to take another bite with a piece of strawberry as well. I would have liked more strawberry slices, but that’s just me. This would be a great place for an anniversary celebration or birthday. It is a bit on the pricy side, but totally worth it!

If I wrote my review the first time I went it would be «4.5» stars. The service was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS! The Thai style calamari was incredible and thankfully that hasn’t changed both times! It’s a MUSTHAVE. So the first time I went the scallops with risotto was cooked perfectly. Every bite was incredible! The lamb my friend got was great and the experience was just so impressive! However went back last night(7⁄13)… Uh… What happened? Why is the risotto cooked unevenly? Whoever make it didn’t pay attention to stirring it because it was undercooked on some bites and not on others! Also scallops are SOOOOOSALTY! I was going to say something if the server asked: how’s your food?(Since that’s a basic question you ask) never did. The lamb was tougher than 2 weeks ago… It’s only been 2 weeks! How can things change so much? I was going to recommend my fellow foodie friends to this place — but I think I’m going to hold off on it. Inconsistency is a HUGE reason restaurants lose business. Someone in the kitchen messed up royally last night and the managers should train their Monday night servers on the basics — HOWISYOURFOOD?(Cause I would’ve sent it back if you asked…) Sigh, so sad so sad.
