5 stars! Good food, decent prices for an upscale steakhouse. Nice ambiance and the valet’s are very nice!

Excellent service, steak, drinks & ambience. If possible I would give this 4.5 stars. Close to perfect. Filet cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Brussel Sprouts and smashed potatoes were outstanding. The T-Bone was a little disappointing, it was thinner than we expected. Taste was good. We personally thought the carrot glaze was too thick and sweet, but it wasn’t bad. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Well… well well well… I officially have a new restaurant in the running for best steak in Dallas. Truly. That may have been the best filet I’ve ever had. It was AMAZING. I don’t know if they injected butter in that wonderful cut of beef or what, but it was definitely unique and absolutely to die for. We’d never been to Bob’s and went for our 10th wedding anniversary. I mentioned that online in the Open Table comments section, and a nice hand-written note was waiting for us on our table when we arrived. Super classy. I asked for a romantic table, too, and they gave us a nice semi-circle booth. It was perfect. Other than that, the atmosphere was certainly romantic. Very dark — darker than most — with just the right amount of mood lighting. I definitely saw a handful of folks(typically had a few years on my wife and me) using their phones to read the menu. :) Our waiter, Yaniv, was a class act and truly perfect in the art of keeping an eye on us and stopping by only when we needed him. Other folks took care of keeping water glasses full. Perfect service. The meal. Usually my wife gets a petite filet and I a larger one. Not the case here. The smallest filet they offer is 9 oz, so not too small, and the largest a whopping 16 oz. So we settled on splitting a 16-oz filet. That was perfect. Not only did they not hit us with a split-plate fee(pleasant surprise), but the 16-oz filet was $ 55. Not a bad deal for a big, perfect filet like that, especially when split. Like I said, it was just an amazing filet to bite into. Simply to die for. Sacreligious or not, I get mine medium. My wife gets medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection. I will say it was probably the best steak I’d ever tasted while it was HOT. Once it cooled a little, it was not as magical. Still delicious, but not as perfect as when hot. So… you probably see the weird bigass carrot on everyone’s plate in pictures. I was pretty skeptical of this weird trademark tradition… but I gotta say, the carrot was delicious. They glaze it with something and it’s the best cooked carrot I’ve ever had. And I hate cooked carrots. The mashed potatoes were excellent. All in all, the meal was wonderful. I also opened the meal with a whiskey, and their whiskey selection is nothing to scoff at. Not too shabby at all. Pricey, but that’s to be expected at a high-end steakhouse like this. We’ll be back for a special occasion, you can count on that. Super classy, top-notch experience.

Second location I’ve tried and food was great. Our waitress was rude though. We went in a group of 60 and overall the servers work in unity except our table. We didn’t get napkins and she accused us of dropping them and we showed her underneath the table to prove there was nothing down there. Then she comes back with napkins saying ok-who needs a napkin because they dropped theirs– cue the eye roll. She might have been having an off night. Anyways. Our jumbo shrimp were tasty. Cocktail sauce had a little kick but was good. Ordered a 9 oz filet mignon cooked medium. Then for dessert had a trio of key lime pie, carrot cake and chocolate cake. There was a really good Pinot noir. Couldn’t help myself. Ordered a few glasses. Also I loved the BREAD and the cute little pickled jar of peppers and pickles.

Best in Dallas! Hard to imagine a better dining experience. Some place have great food, some great service, some great drinks, this place has it all. Food– I have been fortunate enough to eat in some of the best restaurants all over the US and have to day the steaks here as good as any I have ever had. The appetizers are amazing, I am not much of a lamb person but the Lamb Chop appetizer is Out of Bounds Good. if you are seafood lover you will not be disappointed with the fish specials. I have had the snapper and the sea bass they were both extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. Drinks-One of the best wine lists you find, with monthly bottle special. They have a full bar with experienced mixologists, to create awesome drinks. Service– Top notch, drinks always full, plates cleared quickly, and the staff is as friendly as can be. Shawn is great. cant wait to return.

Bob’s Mmmmmm Bob’s If only I was rich I would come here every day. Nice location in the shops, make sure you get the table you want. Don’t let the host sit you just wherever. Wait for the good spot cuz it’s gonna cost you. Good for anniversary’s or birthday dinners. I give them 5 stars because I have always had impeccable service, paired with amazing food. All their meat is prime, and cooked to perfection. Ribeye is my favorite.

Great steakhouse! Definitely worth a visit! I ordered the Shrimp platter for our appetizer and it was delicious! The shrimp were very large and juicy and I’m a Louisiana girl so I know my shrimp! :) I had the chopped tomato, onion, and mozzarella salad next. I have to say I was disappointed in this. The mozzarella portion was great but the tomatoes weren’t very good. I would skip this salad for sure. I had the filet for my entrée and it was cooked perfectly! Service was excellent all around. From the phone call I received confirming the reservation to the bar to our server in the donor room. I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars only n/c of the salad and the giant carrot that comes with each entrée. This is there signature but instead not a fan of the taste or presentation of the carrot.

The Cote De Boeuf(bone in ribeye) is by far the best I’ve ever had! That huge glazed signature carrot is a cause for celebration in itself! We’ve eaten at Bob’s multiple times and everything we’ve ever ordered is nothing shy of outstanding! The service is on stand by excellent! They keep your glasses full without notice. I’d recommend Bob’s to anyone!

This review is for private dining in the Board Room for a client dinner. Easily accommodated our group of 13. I’d call Bob’s Steak & Chop House a casual corporate dining experience with simple touches of elegance. Friendly, attentive staff. There were also many couples in the main dining room. We selected a Prix Fixe Menu for our dinner event. Guests could choose from five entrées of 14 oz Prime Ribeye, 9 oz Filet Mignon, Roasted Chicken Breast in cream sauce, Broiled Salmon, and a Vegetarian alternative(not on menu). Included starters of mixed appetizers, a Caesar Salad, and side dishes of Asparagus and Creamed Corn. Dessert was a trio of petite portions of Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Cake, & Carrot Cake. For an uplift charge, there were several other Prix Fixe menus to choose from. Drinks orders were taken as guests arrived, and house wines were served for dinner. Our waiter was dedicated to our group plus help from other servers. Pluses: Valet parking was complimentary for this event. I note too a fine selection of bourbons. Tip: Reserve in advance. On a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was nearly full and the bar area was full. Dinner only, and closed Sundays. Overall, a fine dining experience. Perfect also for a celebration dinner.

What a great time & a great meal with my family(sorry no pictures). The appetizers: lamb chops, crab cakes were delicious. The chophouse salad was very good. The entrée: bone in ribeye was cooked to order and delicious. Service was spectacular.

I was excited to celebrate my birthday here, but it fell short. Waiter was good when he was present, but fell short because we constantly had to ask for drink refills. Husband’s steak cooked to perfection, mine on the other hand… a 20 oz. Prime Kansas City Strip Steak I requested medium well was an …it was gray-well done… waiter did not ask us to cut our steaks to see if it’s cooked to our liking. had to flag him down… sad…especially how. much the special cost us.

Loved this place, and completely surprised by how good it was. There is nothing that I can say that is bad about this place, which I had expected to be «just another steak house.» But everything from the steak, to the buttered corn, to the wine prices, to the service, were all really top notch and fantastic. Really highly recommended, and you will not be disappointed.(I would do the ribeye with a side of the creamed corn.)

My husband brought me here for a special celebration. We both got the filet mignon and they tasted heavenly. It was very tender and juicy. Although I couldn’t afford to come here every weekend because of the price tag, it’s a great place for special occasions. Their service is great and the crime brûlée dessert was very good as well!

Boyfriend’s favorite place… we come here for his special occasions. It’s upscale and weekends are best to have reservations. They food is delicious and you get a ton of it. You order your meal which generally comes with a potato of sorts and then you order sides from there(whole or half orders). The sides come in a sharing size. Steak is great, always cooked just how we ask and haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Reasonably priced drinks considering that it’s pretty fancy.

We came here for a work dinner and I knew we would be in for a treat. The double doors and dark interior are daunting but set the scene for an upscale experience. We started at the bar and had a great time there. The service was good and the restaurant was filling up behind us. We were asked to close out before being seated. Once seated, we got a run down of the menu and the specials. The server was good and was in our conversation with us. She accidentally filled a glass with red wine that already had white wine in it, but since it was so dark, she didn’t notice it. We had not appetizers but did get a couple bottles of wine from their exquisite collection. The server offered us $ 20 off of our bill for the wine glass mistake. For my meal, I had the surf and turf, which was one of the specials. There were 2 medallions of filet and a 6 oz. lobster tail. All the work was done for you on the tail… no picking, just forking. That was probably my favorite part. Napkins were folded when people got up and left and the valet has a link you click on that they text you to call your call so it is ready when you are. Top notch place!

True story: a year ago, I had a bite of Bob’s steak, literally a bite, and I deemed it one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. So, to really vouch for that, I decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday and see if my belief still holds true. The hostess presented him with a birthday card as we got seated. The waitress was very kind and really made our night special. We both ordered the ribeye. I ordered mine rare initially, mainly because most places I ask medium rare for end up cooking medium, but she said the kitchen recommends medium rare. I decided to give it a shot and was extremely pleased to see that they actually cooked it perfectly medium rare! The steak is SO good. I’m not kidding when I say Bob’s really does steaks right. They don’t need any sauce on top because they flavor and cook the steak to perfection. My boyfriend was also very pleased with his steak. We got the skillet potatoes on the side which is a nice substitute to your normal mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. I personally really enjoyed the carrot too but my boyfriend who isn’t so much a carrot lover didn’t. Doesn’t matter, just means more for me! Also, the complimentary bread they serve is also delicious. It’s crisp and flaky on top, and it seems like bread with features of a croissant. We definitely devoured 2 of them, no shame. At the end, they brought our a mini trio of desserts with a candle which included carrot cake, chocolate cake, and key lime pie. It was a really great way to end the night. Bob’s is really a fantastic place to celebrate anything or if not, for some really amazing steak!

Looks like a classic steakhouse– round booths, wine room, and dim lights. The service was good and attentive. Food– the crabcake was good! I liked that it has more crabmeat than breadcrumbs. I ordered the prime ribeye and it was cooked to the temperature I asked for. My friend ordered the filet mignon, and… Omgee I wished ordered it. The filet mignon here is one of the best I’ve tried.
