Great cocktails and the menu is really good. I’m a regular because the food is always fresh, prepared well and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s a great place with great ambience for a special occasion dinner or a quick week day lunch. The risotto special is always a fav! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I think the last couple of time I was there it was a different chef and the food wasn’t quite as good as I remember.

I know a lot of local people, including my friends, like this restaurant. I had high hopes for the price. But I have to be honest, my meal was not very good and the wine was ok. It’s a beautiful setting and great location. The staff was very nice, helpful and service was excellent. Especially since it was very busy for a weekday evening with one waiter. Pretty impressive! My daughter and I ordered a calamari appetizer which was nothing special at all, including the aoli– bland. She said her Caesar salad was good. My spaghetti and mussels did not taste very good. The sauce was bland and the mussels had a not-so-fresh taste and smell. I hardly touched them. I am willing to try it again. It’s possible they had an off night or just my dishes were off. I won’t order seafood again though.

Went to lunch here today with a girlfriend. The inside is small but very comfortable and inviting. The food was delicious — all fresh from local venders. I would definitely eat here again. The mini donuts with the orange cream sauce I had for dessert were wonderful.

I first visited Risibisi about a year ago with a friend that was visiting from out of town and WOW – we couldn’t have been more impressed. Cocktails and dinner were spectacular so, like a moron, I waited for the right occasion to return.(Note: DONOTWAIT. Dining here is an occasion in itself.) Last night, I came back with my family to celebrate mom’s birthday and again, it was marvelous. All six of us ordered different things(pumpkin risotto, wild boar gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, gnocchi pesto, tagliatelle with braised pork, and fettuccine alla bolognese) and quickly began rotating plates. Every dish was so flavorful, the pastas were perfectly al dente, and the portions were big enough to take some home(omg leftovers). This review cannot go without thanking Tyler, our awesome server, for his attention, friendliness and terrific service. Risibisi is super fortunate to have a killer front-of-house and kitchen staff, and I look forward to returning again and again.

The owner has just contacted me in 2015 inviting us to come back for a new experience. So we went. I must say the atmosphere was amazing(I felt like I was in the city, which was refreshing). The drinks were good, decent service and our dinners were nice. We would come back for sure.

Have been coming here steadily over the years since 2007. Never fails to delight us. Went here last night for my birthday with my folks. Arthur was our waiter, and did a fantastic job of answering all questions and in fact made an impromptu cocktail for my Mom. Items Butternut Squash Soup(excellent) Roasted Beet Salad(excellent) Steamed PEI mussels(BESTOFNIGHT) Pumpkin Ravioli(excellent if not a touch sweet) Braised Beef Short Ribs(good) Flatiron Steak(steak was excellent, potatoes were good but not my style) Drinks Custom Cocktail Fantini 2014 Montepulciano(Out of this world) Pinot Noir(quite good) Dessert Fresh Housemade Doughnuts with Orange Crème Anglaise(exquisite) All in all a very happy night! Kudos to the entire Risibisi team!

Yes ma’am and sir. This is the spot. Couple of glasses of Italian white wine, beet salad and the Petaluma brick chicken. Oh, salted caramel gelato for dessert. Basically life is good. Would recommend for a fantastic choice anytime and every time in Petaluma. Obviously other options abound but this is a winner, service is great, atmosphere on it, and food is exceptional.

Just had an amazing meal here with my family. The service was impeccable, the food was great, and our table had a lovely décor around it. I had the short ribs with quite an amazing pasta and I highly recommend them. We had a reservation so our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Best Italian in Petaluma, highly recommended.

Spectacular dining experience! This was our first visit to this charming restaurant during our week long wine country trip. Everything from the service to the atmosphere to the entrees was exceptional. I had the gnocchi and boar ragu and I must say it was the best I have ever had. All members of our table of 6 were delighted with their selection. Make a point of visiting this charming gem in Petaluma!

Yay, US! We drove through Petaluma at 7:30pm on a Saturday eve… starving… Parked downtown and walked around trying to find dinner. Every place was an hour wait. Ugggggg. Saw a street board sign encouraging us to walk 20 more yards to Risibisi. They took us immediately. Stellar service, nice ambiance, lovely wine selection and truly delicious food(my husband had the wild boar gnocchi… the gnocchi was homemade… And I had the eggplant parmigiana, which was also made from scratch and absolutely delicious). We also shared the mushroom bruschetta which was fabulous! We highly recommend Risibisi! Yum for all!!!

A very nice place to hangout with friends and family. I had order roasted cauliflower soup which was delicious, tomato bruschetta which was very good and Spaghetti alla Carbonara vegetarian that just made me love the place . One of my friend ordered a vegetarian pasta which got mixed up with my hubby s pasta with meat, that was kinda disappointing. But at the end we were given a complementary raspberry sorbet which was good too. Service and ambiance was very good, I would love to give 4 stars but because of the mix ups I am giving this restaurant 3 stars.

Love this place awesome staff nice owner food is excellent or better and the whiskey sours are to die for, lots of fresh squeezed fruit. And their lemoncello is very dangerous so be careful girls 3 of their limoncello lemon drops and you could be two or three sheets to the wind. Also this place is great for large parties make sure you call in advance.

We recently had dinner with another couple in this delightful restaurant. The interior is comfortable and cozy. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. I am already thinking about returning. We started a Roasted Calamari Salad which was excellent and a Fried Calamari with Roasted Garlic Lemon Aioli which was even better. I had the Braised Wild Boar Ragu and Parmigiano with Gnocchi. The stew had a wonderful richness and depth of flavor that paired so well with the light tender gnocchi. My husband was thrilled with the complex flavors of Braised Beef Short Rib served on a bed of Fregola: a pasta that’s similar to Israeli couscous, with delicata squash in a cabernet reduction with a horseradish and parmesan crust. After tasting each others dish we debated whose dish was better but really they were both totally wonderful! The other entrée ordered was the Bucatini pasta, served with caramelized onions, pancetta, in a spicy tomato sauce. This was another winning dish with a complimentary mix of flavors. We topped it off with House Made Doughnuts with Orange-thyme Anglaise. They were perfect single bites. I will report on the wine list next time as to the content and mark up.

My wife and I, plus two friends had a scrumptious dinner at Risibisi on Monday, June 22, 2015. Service was flawless and we had a delightful time. We started by splitting the fried calamari, it was perfectly crisp and delicious served with a particularly flavorful roasted garlic and lemon aioli. We also split the calamari salad that featured perfectly sauteed calamari with delightful mixed greens, perfectly dressed with a lovely vinaigrette. For our mains, two in our party were delighted by the Wild Boar Gnocchi. Light pillowy perfect Gnocchi were paired with a deeply flavored braised wild boar ragu. the third person had the Bucatini all’Amatriciana. Bucatini pasta, a thick spaghetti-like pasta with a hole running through the center common to the area around Rome. Served with caramelized onions, pancetta, in a spicy tomato sauce. This dish was also perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. I had the Braised Beef Short Rib served on a bed of Fregola: a pasta from Sardinia that’s similar to Israeli couscous, with delicata squash in a cabernet reduction with a horseradish and parmesan crust. A perfect plate with great depth of flavor and the unctiousness I enjoy in a great short rib dish. We had a lovely evening and can’t wait to return.

for a «quaint» town like petaluma, there are a surprisingly good amount of nice restaurants in the downtown area. we were deciding between risibisi and cucina paradiso for dinner and were told that this place is «less nice» and«more barn feeling» than the latter. however we found this place to be extremely lovely, perhaps with a slight rustic feel but i would consider this very much an intimate and classy dining atmosphere. service was top notch and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. we started our meal with buttery soft focaccia bread that reminded me so much of the italian coast. we followed that up with steamed mussels and savory clams as our antipasti. the appetizer came in a delicious soffritto base soup that we couldn’t get enough of — to the point where we asked for more focaccia just to soak up more of that soup flavor. for our entrees, we shared the gnocchi wild boar and the short rib bolognese fettuccine. the gnocchi was creamy and cheesy and filling, though we weren’t huge fans of the toughness of the boar meat. the short rib fettuccine, on the other hand, was amazing! the short rib was extremely tender and the fettuccine noodles were perfectly al dente. we were stuffed to the gills by the time we finished, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to stop eating and waste all that delicious food. we rounded out our meal with a bottle of pinot noir that paired well with our red meat entrees. if we’re ever back in petaluma, you can bet we’ll be here for dinner again.

A lovely surprise! This cute little place was completely empty when we arrived but what a pleasure to dine here. The service was amazing, Tyler was welcoming and attentive. He made recommendations for my dietary restrictions(GF) and how the daily fish SPECIAL(oh so special) could be modified for me. We all had a marvelous dining experience. The pan fried sole was crispy and moist and the roasted cauliflower and brussels perfectly seasoned and al dente. I’ll be back.
