One of thee best sushi places in the valley. The sushi chef hooked up an amazing halibut that words just can’t describe.

The best sushi in the valley. My mom had tempura and it was excellent. Lots of choices in Palm Springs where I live but I prefer Matsuri over any place in the valley.

I love the sushi here. It’s always fresh and even though it’s kinda far out of PS’s, it’s worth the drive. I love the dynamite roll and soft-shell crab roll.

This place is great. You can always go downtown for some overpriced sushi buy if you want fresh tasty fish than this is the place. I have enjoyed this place many times and never been disappointed. Very reasonable prices AND they have a cool designed shirt you can buy, $ 10, when they are in stock. I need a new one BTW…

Zero stars! Food was bland, overpriced nothing but the décor and service was good. The sushi was so flavorless, beef teriyaki was chewy. I don’t know how this place is still in business don’t waste your money!!! I should have gone to sushi café they never disappoint me.

Sushi and teriaky chicken were very bland and dull, needed a lot more flavor and their rolls were nothing spectacular. Good service, bad food.

Service was good, prices are reasonable. One daughter had teriyaki, the other had udon, both were happy. Teriyaki sauce was different than our usual place but I am guessing they might be using lower sodium soy sauce in deference to local tastes. Inside is very old school retro, lots of interesting décor to exam. Reminds me of the Japanese restaurants of my childhood. Seems like a fair number of «regulars» by the chatter between the tables and the waiter. I would come back here again.

I was there the other night and the Japanese food and desert was delicious. The service was good. The special sauce for the salad was so good. Overall the meal was great and for a reasonable price, I would defiantly go back again

Located adjacent to El Paseo, near the Elephant Bar. Cool atmosphere, mellow, interesting memorabilia on the walls to look at. The ramen was amazing and I enjoyed their sushi. Polite and friendly staff. Decent parking. I’d come here again for sure!

I have driven by here for years and finally stopped in. This is a great«hole in the wall» sushi joint. They have been here for ever, and they do close early on the weekends to call ahead. We ate well over $ 100 worth of such and drinks and had a great time. Everything from the Nigiri to the house rolls and hand rolls were great. I also noticed they had some exotic specials on the board, such as Monk Fish Liver… going to have to try that next time!
