I loved the appetizers. The pizza was generally good but the bianco could be revamped. First off, I would like to say that the staff did a good job of providing a nice dining experience. I came here with my family and was seated on the outdoor patio. It got a little warm and they were quick to lower the shade which made things more comfortable. Food: The truffle fries were really good. Some of the best I’ve had because they came out hot and crispy and full of truffle aroma. Everyone loved it. The stuffed zucchini blossoms were also really tasty. The local honey drizzled on top made it especially yummy. We also shared a pizza bianco. I thought the bechamel sauce was a bit thick. Combined with the fresh mozzarella made for a bit too gooey of a pizza. I think if they did a simple olive oil base and added ricotta instead of bechamel it would have been better. The crust was a nice neapolitan style– a good amount of chew yet thin(00 flour helps). Clearly it was baked in a wood burning oven. It’s not that easy to do neapolitan style pizza correctly. They generally got it right. Service was helpful and welcoming. Staff were constantly roaming and making sure the customers were happy. Décor: The inside is pretty dark but on mild days the patio is the place to be. Restrooms were clean. Overall, I would recommend Piero’s Pizza Vino. Yes, it’s good for families with kids although you don’t see too many kids in Palm Desert. Solid 4 stars.

Went here for a very nice dinner with my husband and his aunt. We made a reservation a few days in advance as we wanted to avoid being seated in the back room. We were able to be seated in the enclosed, heated patio area and it was very nice. Lots of good people watching as folks come and go on El Paseo just outside the front of the restaurant. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time so we ordered specialty margaritas at the bar. I had the Italian margarita, which includes Disaronno. We each ordered a «personal» pizza only to find that they are probably more appropriate for 2 people. Either way, the leftovers were certainly appreciated the next day. I had the prosciutto and fig pizza and the figs added a wonderful sweetness to the pizza sauce. I would definitely order it again. We also splurged and had dessert — cannolis and the Nutella ravioli. The cannoli filling was awesome but the dessert ravioli was the true star of our meal. YUM!

I came in for happy hour and overall this place is not bad. I am going with 3 stars for these reasons: 1. Ordered an old fashion and it was average– nothing to be happy about but not bad. 2 The Margarita pizza was good and flavorful but lacked the sauce needed to make it great/I had to order a side of tomato sauce to keep it from being too dry. The staff was very nice and the restaurant vibe was good… Average place to visit.

Delicious as always. Zucchini Blossoms(when in season) with honey are so tasty!!! The texture and bright colours add to the already great flavour. We also got the white wine shrimp and holy crap was that plate empty when we finished. Everything here is good. The quality of the food is great and the prep is fantastic. The music is a tad loud but that could have been because we were in a corner and had the sound bouncing straight towards us. Service was also good. Didn’t have to wait long for anything and weren’t overly bothered either. The 10% check in from Unilocal was the cherry on top. Went straight to tip so everyone’s happy!
