I stopped in for lunch with my grandmother recently, and I wasn’t too impressed. I ate a chili dog, creamy chicken and spinach soup, a cookie, and a piece of cheesecake. The cookie was really the only thing that I was really impressed by. There wasn’t much option for food, which I understand in some degrees. My main problem was that it was quite cold inside, which isn’t the best environment for my grandma. Sadly, I couldn’t experience the popcorn which they are famous for due to my diverticulitis. All in all I understand how this café would be nice for a quick snack, but for lunch, I wasn’t the best.

Great place for a quick lunch on the road! The food is freshly made, the employees are wonderful! The grilled cheese was awesome! The selection of freshly made pies and cookies were worth the trip! A great place to stop for lunch, or to grab a coffee and dessert. They have a unique gift shop to browse in to boot! Worth the trip!

One of their selling points is, «Best Cookies Ever» and it’s almost the truth! We stopped here once during a convention and returned when visiting Osh Kosh because of the cookies! Unique and delicious cookies that surely won’t disappoint. One con to this small town gem: it’s half café half kids store, but the bathrooms don’t have a changing station. Made it very difficult to change my newborn. Seems odd that a kids store wouldn’t have a changing station.

Great ambiance, ok food, bad coffee. I had a chance to visit this place a few times while in town for a wedding. They make Cappuccino with 14 is water over espresso shots which does not even taste like freshly brewed black coffee.

Cute place with lots of tasty looking options in dessert case and on menu — BUT I ordered a sandwich and that’s where I was let down. Girl behind counter was apathetic to my questions about preparation. Ordering a breakfast sandwich, my key concern was bacon that was well done. She reiterated over and over that everything is pre-assembled but cooked prior to being heated up. I said ‘well if you’re confident that bacon is at least not raw, rubbery, stretchy… here’s my order to go. I get in car and the bacon was, no joke, borderline raw. Disgusting. I went back in and same girl said ‘I don’t know what to tell you’. What a joke.

The Carmel Crisp & Café in a nice little bakery to visit. The café makes some of the best cookies I have had with reasonable prices. The café does have sandwiches and other things but only has a small area for people to eat. The café also has a large knickknack store with handmade things as well as other little things for decorations. It is also the only place I have noticed a Oshkosh shirt with a Oshkosh Wisconsin’s Event City embroidered on it so if you are looking for an Oshkosh souvenir stop by. Back to the cookies, they are some of the best with all kinds of different ones offered. In my experience they have had Door County cherry cookies, Sugar cookies decorated for the upcoming holiday whatever it may be, cake batter, and they had a Fruity Pebble cookie that was actually awesome. Highly recommend if you are looking for some good cookies or are in the market for some knickknacks

The play area for kids is like the size of my bathroom, plus a door opens into it so people and venders are walking through all the time, sometimes with big boxes. The kids can open the door too and walk out onto a busy street also. There is lots of small chocking hazards for smaller kids. There is no door or barrier between the play area and the toys in the store, so it’s hard to keep kids there from wandering trough the store. By the play area there is also some giant glass jars along the windows that little kids could break if not careful. This seems like a safety issue We noticed most of the cookies are labeled if they have peanuts or not. So we get one without and give it to my toddler since he has peanut allergies. He gave me a piece, and lo and behold it has peanuts after all! Their reason, «we don’t have time to label everything.» They even copped an attitude about it like it was my fault. I just wish they were better about labeling«contains peanuts.» I like this place as there is a lot of unique things here, it’s just way to packed and hard to walk through with kids. It feels overcrowded. I don’t think this place is good for kids under 5.

This quant little place is a mix of so many different themes it is hard to really isolate how to describe it. The best I can do is that it is a sort of bizarre hybrid between bakery, coffee shop, casual diner and gift shop. Most businesses that attempt to branch into so many different verticals have difficulty excelling in any of them well, but that is not the case here. Their soups, which are made fresh daily, are simply delicious, and are the best I have encountered in Oshkosh. The mushroom and Brie soup? Mmmmmmmm, so fantastic. Om nom nom. I have yet to try their ice cream but if you make it out of this place without sampling the cookies you have more willpower than I do. The smell alone is enough to make you start going off like Pavlov’s dog and the cookies themselves are heavenly. If you want to make some pals among coworkers, stop by this place before work and bring a box of cookies when you go in. You will an instant all-star :) Great Place!

This place is so cute! You cannot go in without wanting to try everything, it all looks so yummy! They make great treats, but the ice cream by far is my favorite, specifically the Birthday Cake flavor. It’s also a great little bakery for a quick lunch.

We stopped in here as we made our way home from a Labor Day weekend in Appleton. We saw a billboard and decided to check it out. What a cute little café & gift shop. We browsed for a little while and then eyeballed the baked goodies for quite awhile trying to decide what to get. We finally decided on 3 cookies: s’mores, turtle and sugar. My daughter had the sugar cookie, and she wasn’t entirely impressed by it, but I can’t vouch since I didn’t actually try it. It was very pretty and looked good. My son picked the s’mores. He devoured it and had chocolate all over his face, so I’m guessing it was pretty darn good. My husband and I split the turtle. It was very tasty, but nothing that left me hungering for more. That said, however, the cookies were fresh, the prices were good, and the shop is adorable. If we’re in the area, we’ll definitely stop in again and pick some other flavors to try out. There was an excellent selection and many delicious looking varieties that we didn’t pick.

Cookies, cupcakes, and candy; what more could you want? The cookies are great, the cupcakes delicious, and enough candy to keep a kid busy for quite a while. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Oshkosh! Awesome lunch and the cookies will melt your heart! The gift shop next door is incredible, I find the best stuff there! You have to stop in!

Sweet shop. Next to a book shop. Uh, yeah! I’ve been to Oshkosh too many times to count. It’s kind of a second home. And yet, I’d never been here. Someone in the car insisted we stop, so we did. And it’s great. Cookies– so many kinds, and every one was good. Cupcakes– over the top, filled with cookie dough, etc. I saw candy, I saw salads… There was just too much. We left before we bought one of everything. The service was very friendly. We’ll be back.

Locally owned business that has been around for ages! In their nice newer, clean location you can always get their caramel corn and«penny» candy, but hold on! move to the back of the store for gifts galore! Keep GOING… they’ve expanded into another space and sell all sorts of gifty things. Baby items, holiday, bridal, jewelry on and on. After all that shopping, head back to the café up front where you can get delicious unique salads, soups and sandwiches. Oh and ice cream! Ugh it’s all too much goodness. There are many tables and chairs available. After the food, walk through to the Apple Blossom bookstore connected to Caramel Crisp and shop some more.

This place is super cute and they always have great, fresh food. It’s especially great for lunch or a snack. They have a good selection of pasta salads, soup, salad, ice cream, and of course, caramel corn or whatever type of popcorn you like. The staff are always really friendly and sweet. They really expanded their gift shop area and it’s kind of too much but maybe a good place to get a gift.
