I was in town for work and a friend of mine took me here for dinner. PROS: Service — Excellent! We had Jevon as our server and he was great! Food — YUMMY! I ordered empanadas, a seared ahi tuna salad, and their version of a peanut butter chocolate lava cake. What? I was hungry! Entertainment — I guess the night we were there, they had a drag show going on.(Did I mention that it’s also a night club?) I enjoyed watching the performances. CONS: When it starts getting dark and the entertainment is on stage, it gets cold(depending on the weather) and loud. You won’t be able to continue your conversation with your friends until the acts finish. Also, because of that, it’s hard to wave down your server for any other requests you may have. So, be mindful. Overall, four stars! UPDATE: 11÷21÷11 — SOOOOO I just got word they shut down. Bummer.

Great waterfront dining — we got there SUPER early thinking Brunch started at 10am. Wrong memo, they don’t open until 11am with the show starting at noon. Whoops! Still, they let us hang out and brought us some water while we waited for them to open. Not too crazy about the food — I ordered the eggs benedict which had the most bizarre tasting hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. Very salty, almost fish-like. I absolutely loved the potato fries that came with the dish. They don’t serve the food on real plates so I felt a bit like a kid eating from of a paper plate but, whaddya gonna do? The show is great but there were only a handful of people in attendance and with such a big venue it just felt painfully empty. In terms of food, brunch definitely has room for improvement but I wouldn’t mind coming back to give their dinner menu a shot and check out an evening show such as the Thursday Broadway show!

At my age, I don’t really go out to bar any more. I did 30+ years of going out to bars, seeing drag shows, and trying to find ‘the perfect man’… so the idea of going to another openly gay bar when I have drank all i wanted, seen tons of drag shows, and had found my perfect man already was not on my top 10 list of things to do. But… like any gay man like myself, I was still interested in seeing what these hip kids of today would create. When ever I talk to younger men, they don’t seem to be into the bar scene but then again, they really don’t need them considering how open they can be nowadays. Anyway… A friend of mine actually is one of the performers at Mr. Sisters and invited me to come down someday and catch his show. It takes a lot for me to stay up late these days but he told me about a Sunday Brunch Gospel service that was in broad daylight! When friends of mine asked if I wanted to hang out this past Sunday, I asked if they would want to check out Mr. Sisters. So I went to the website to check out times and then ended up making reservations just in case it was busy. The web site stated that the show started at 12 noon so I planned to be there at 11:30 am to enjoy a brunch and see my friend in the show. I arrived at 11:30 and was greeted at the door by one of the staff. My friends had not arrived yet so I waited a few min till they arrived. We were seated outside on the patio deck right next to the stage. Our server Paris was a fun young lady who explained our menus to us and then took our order. I got the special Mimosa and the eggs Benedict with hash browns. The drinks came out after only a few min and the food followed soon after. I was worried about the amount of time I would have to wait after reading some of the other reviews on here but it was no longer a wait than any other place. Granted this is outside and all the food was served on cardboard plates. In fact, everything was cardboard or plastic. No real silverware, dishware, or glass anyplace on the table. Maybe its a way to save money on dishwashers… The mimosas were not very strong and I sort of wanted a bit of a buzz so I ordered a regular vodka on the rocks. The food itself was good but not of the quality that you would get in a hotel. The hash browns were cold and the eggs overcooked but the taste was okay. I would conclude that food is not their first priority… its all about the drinks. Now, you might be wondering about the Gospel show… so was I. By the time we finished our meals, it was about 12:15 or so and there was no sign of a show. I got up to use the rest room and on my way back saw another of the performers hanging out by the bar. I asked her if my friend was around and was told that she was running late and would be here soon. So my friends and I hung out at our table enjoying a few more drinks and waited for the show. Finally at a little after 1 pm, the show started and it was fun. The two main performers/hosts of the show did a number each, then a guest performer came out and did a number, then all of them came out and did a finally. All in all it lasted about 20 min. When I asked my friend about the delay in the show, she informed me that they had decided to push back the start time of the show till 1 pm because they have noticed a better and larger crowd by then… but they had not changed the time on the web site! So… if you go, remember… the Gospel Show on Sundays start at 1pm… not noon! All in all it was a fun time with my friends and I enjoyed the experience. I would go back again and hope to see my friend entertain us all. The staff was all fun and friendly and the food was okay. I will have to get my old butt over there some night since some of the shows are at 8 pm and I think I can stay up that late some nights! Enjoy!

Mr. Sisters makes Parliament House look like an aging, moldy dump on Orange Blossom Trail. Oh, wait, that’s exactly what Parliament House is. Seeing as P-House has become so sticky that you don’t want to touch anything, this left girls and their gay friends without a reasonable place to get drunk. Thankfully, Mr. Sisters swooped in and filled that void. You can’t miss this place, the huge pink monstrosity on Colonial near 436. Parking is valet and your car may end up down the street in front of a pawn shop, but it’s only $ 5 and it’s easier than hoofing it from Rooms To Go in spiked heels. Mr. Sisters has food that’s actually above decent, DJ Joanie from P-House, buff male dancers who spin on polls and shake their wieners in your face, friendly bartenders, a huge dance floor where you can blend in and nobody can see your awful white-girl dance, and best of all, two large outside smoke patios which keeps the inside area from becoming unbearable. The bathroom is really the only downside here: it’s unisex and there’s always a huge line. I really appreciate its voyeuristic appeal, however. The wall facing the urinals is a two-way mirror, meaning you can watch men pee from the safety of the smoke patio. I think women find this visual to be more interesting than the boys. At least I do, but I’m kind of a sick-o. I was a Mr. Sisters convert from the moment I walked into their shiny warehouse. I felt home. I felt happy. And, unlike P-House, I didn’t feel as though I needed to burn my hand off after touching a door knob.

This place has come a long way since opening. They have expanded their outdoor section and revamped their menu. The brunch menu is excellent along with their Sunday happy hour specials. You cannot beat a well double for $ 2 people. We always have a great time and are mostly there on sundays for day drinking and appetizers. We always order the cheesesticks and chicken nachos and are never disappointed. The actual nightlife portion of the club is okay. I have not been here at night for a true club experience since they opened. The bathrooms are unisex and quite fun due to everything being a chalk-wall. Grab some chalk that is placed around the bathrooms and have some fun. We always end up laughing at the things written in here.

I enjoyed eating lunch at Mr. Sisters. With nice weather, it is very beautiful and relaxing to eat lakeside on their back porch. The server was pleasant, but not the most attentive. This was a little disappointing because there were not very many people eating while we were there. I had the turkey wrap with cream cheese and avocado, which I really enjoyed. My friend ordered the broccoli and cheese soup, which we were informed at the time of my food arriving, was out. He got chicken noodle instead, which he said was some of the best chicken noodle he had ever had. This was slightly overshadowed by the fact that it took probably a half hour for the food to come, and he wasn’t told they were out of soup until the food arrived. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere– the service just needs to tighten up a bit.

Note: I went more for the night life and did not indulge in their menu offerings. I highly suggest arriving early or wearing comfortable shoes. The parking situation is kind of ridiculous, however the actual establishment is HUGE! We did not use the valet service, but my feet would have appreciated doing so, especially after dancing in heels all night. There was a rather mixed crowd. The shows were decent and entertaining. The bathroom lines were long but seemed to move fast. The co-ed bathrooms made for an interesting mix, similar to many of the bars I have been to in NYC. I love that there were several rooms that you could migrate throughout. There are a few more private quieter rooms for conversation sake, the dance floor was fun, since I am married I did have to try to avoid the boys on the bar(I know they have NO interest in me, but I should still be respectful!) so be aware of that situation, the outside bar on the water is nice too. I highly suggest this place for a night of fun with friends or if you are just looking for something different from the usual downtown craziness.

Sunday brunch review. Good food, friendly service, but suuuperrrr slooooowwwww. Ye gods. The waterfront view is really pretty, and they keep misters going outside on hot days, which makes for a very comfortable area regardless of the angle of the sun. I do recommend getting the amazing empanadas. Also noteworhy are both the eggs benedict and the nice chunky home fries, and the $ 4 double mimosas are an absolute STEAL. Just make sure you have plenty of time to hang out and eat. Edit: try the PB&J cocktail. It’s AMAZING.

I have yet to go to Mr. Sisters during one of their events, and I haven’t dined with them, so I’ll simply write about my experience on a Saturday evening. Parking was ample, but it looked as though they were getting ready to set up a valet service. I’m glad we got there early to self-park. There was hardly anyone at the(huge) bar so we sat where we wanted. I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t get to sit outside on the dock(reserved only for dinner patrons) because it was so nice outside. Our bartender was great — he served us right away and from what I understand, their happy hour prices are fantastic. I am excited to go back at night during one of their events, as well as for brunch or dinner.

Wow… really had a great time here. Parking lot was full, but fortunately they had valet parking. A nice modern atmosphere, with a large outdoor deck overlooking a lake. A mixed crowd and dancing all around, several bars to grab a drink, an occasional performance, and rather attractive go go boys. Great sound system… and local gay organizations were out reaching near the door. Long bathroom lines were the only negative. We were there on a Saturday night… packed. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in O-Town.

This place is such a blast! Good food, good music, and the bartenders aren’t stingy with the drinks! The atmosphere was so friendly… can’t wait to go back!!! However… the parking situation SUCKS! We had to park a quarter of a mile away at Rooms To Go. As much as I don’t mind walking, I DO mind it at the end of the night when I’ve been dancing in heels and my feet have morphed into painful deformed claws.

Pros = very popular, tons of hot guys dancing on the bar, cheap drinks($ 2 for draft beer), quick service(if you get attached to someone early in the night like I did), an outdoor area to relax when the inside becomes unbearable or you just want to talk, nice people(someone returned my friends phone when she lost it), funny drag show. Cons = The parking situation SUCKS, the music isnt that great and it gets so congested that you cant move at around midnight. One lady who worked there was super loud and obnoxious. We went around 9pm on a weekend and it was not packed. When it got packed you could still dance, just not on the main dance floor. You could dance next to the bar or outside. We were able to comfortably watch the drag show on stage and, dance with strangers next to us. Outside is SO pretty. There was a breeze and a nice lake. Such a nice view. The parking lot is insane. You cannot park here — we came at 9pm and you couldnt even park that early. It was a clusterf*ck of cars with valets standing so close to the driveway that you almost hit them coming into the parking lot. Not a safe situation — too crowded and not enough space to park. I’m not sure what the big hub bub is about the bathrooms. They arent huge and not as impressive as I thought theyd be. It’s an interesting idea to watch someone do their makeup and they cant see you watching them but I actually thought it was a bad idea — people standing in line were saying mean things about the people. There’s chalk to write on the walls. It’s not enough bathrooms for when it gets really busy and the hallway outside is too small to hold people waiting in line and people just trying to walk by — they should have made it wider. Also, the rudest lady in the world was standing at the bathroom door barking at everyone. «Keep it moving! Come on people!» She was so large that it was hard to get by her as I came out. I even said something to her because she was literally screaming at people and I couldnt get by her.

Wow. This is like a gay theme park. My friends and I wanted to check out this new Orlando hotspot & were somewhat disappointed. Apparently all of gay Orlando is here on any given night. It’s honestly insane. Their huge parking lot was full, as was their valet, so we had to park a few blocks down at the Rooms To Go parking lot, which was a handful of cars short of being full… and it was only around 10:30 or 11pm. Hoards of people would park at RTG and then trek down to Mr. Sisters and wait in line to get in. I do have to say that the line moves rather quickly, however, once you’re inside you’re facing another nightmare. If you want to dance, forget about it. There’s no room. I mean, not an inch. All those people you saw walking in herds from RTG and all those people who carpooled in the cars that have filled up the lot and valet are now inside. You simply cannot move. Want a drink? Be prepared to wait, because 18,567,342 people are waiting for a drink as well. This just seemed like far too much trouble to go through for a night out. I will say the place looks fabulous. The tables all have various pop culture gay icons’ faces made into pop art on them. Plush animal print chaises are scattered around. The ceilings are super high. There’s a lovely outside patio. There are two levels of gorgeous go-go boys dancing on the bar(& on poles on top of the roof of the bar). Neon lights shine over the dance floor a la «Waiting for Tonight.» The music was OK until at one point they had some guys banging drums and«stomping,» like the musical. This is all fine and good, but at a club? Not something you can dance to. The negatives outweighed the positives for me. Especially when there’s Pulse in the same city. Pulse may not be as large or grandiose, but at least there’s better music and you actually have space to be. I’d give it a shot again if the novelty of it being«new» wears off and there’s less people there. Otherwise, I’d just rather go to Pulse and have an actual good time.

Awesome time @ this venue! Great drink specials, cute eye candy and everyone emits friendliness! Just A Feel Good Kinda Vibe! Like you can dance with anyone, even if you’ve never met before– Everyone was so easy to talk to. Most staff members were nice– One[ I think a manager, too:(] behaved like quite a stick in the mud. Either way, the food was GOOD and I would go back just for the shrimp appetizer! The bathrooms are a must see; although, sometimes you have to wait in line– At least you can write on the wall while you wait! I will go again; and Im totally straight! Androgynous Zone!

This place is huge. It’s probably just as big, dance space-wise, as Parliment House. It’s quite the nightmare to move around in or even dance considering that the flow of people coming in NEVERENDS. It’s packed! There’s a big interior with a pretty good sound and light system. The music could be better but I think in time they will remedy that. Drinks are reasonably priced but having a $ 50 hold on your credit card if you want to open a tab really sucks. Hopefully in time they can control the amount of people that come here because if you want to dance, you either get here the moment the doors open or find a spot by a bathroom or outside because there’s no room to breathe, let alone dance, on the dancefloor. Sorry Mr. Sisters, but my heart belongs to PULSE.

Fantastic beautiful place… BUT the service is not that great. I got there last night and what appears to be one of the managers asks me what I wanted for a drink. I told him and began to talk to one of his staff for more than 10 minutes forgetting about my drink. He continues figuring something in the cash machine. I was getting a bit upset because of this lack of customer services. He had a DIVA attitude. Anyhow, finally one of the girls asked me what I wanted and it took her somewhat long to make the drink. I asked for Long Island Ice tea — it was $ 9.00. Not only I thought it was expensive but it was a small plastic cup. I’ve $ 8.00 all the time for my drinks for they are worth it So Customer Service and prices stinks — I am willing to go back again and give it another try and write another review. Hopefully it will be an improvement.

I do not know ANY club in Orlando that looks like this, where you can drink to your heart’s content and hand over a $ 20 bill at the end of the night to cover your tab. WHAT?! Thank you Mr Sisters for not price gouging! I should preface that I stick to beer… so I’m a cheap date to say the least ;) They have valet parking for ONLY $ 5! Win! Otherwise, you have to park at Rooms to Go down the street and walk, which is not a problem unless it’s cold outside. Overall, this place is really nice. The set up is awesome, with a decent-sized dance floor in the middle. They have two bars, a main one in the front by the entrance and one smaller one in the back. They play a good mix of music: top 40 and house/dance/trance. The best part about Mr Sisters is the staff. AWESOME!!! From the dancers to the bar tenders to the door people… super friendly! Service is on point. The only gripe is that they put a $ 50 hold on your card open a tab, and it would be hard for me to spend that much to qualify that. Needless to say, it takes a few days for the bank to clear the hold… so pay cash, or close out after each round. Make sure you tip the dancers here… they are phenomenal. And a couple of them can work the pole like CUH-RAZY! Oh, and they have amazing live shows with all kinds of cool dancing skits!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick drink and loved the place so much I stayed for some tapas which were marvelous! I loved the décor but other reviews speak to this so no need to rehash. Great service, everyone was very friendly. Open/airy atmosphere was a breath of fresh air. Great place! I highly recommend it!

Before their hard opening(a-hem!), we were lucky to have lunch at Mr. Sisters during their half-priced menu promotion. The service was friendly and fantastic, and the food delicious… but I’m glad it was discounted. I would have gladly paid 75% of their listed menu prices, but full price would have been too much. Although tasty, for this price and for the atmosphere, I would expect our drinks not to be served in Solo plastic and styrofoam hot cups. And even though the plates were biodegradable, real plates are more fitting the price and décor. It just felt a little cheap. And hot! The noon sun made the main window seating a slow roaster, but temps elsewhere were perfect. They may have hung curtains by the time you read this. Have a fun lunch here and enjoy the service. Chat up everyone because they all have something interesting to say… like how to get into the unisex bathroom(think motion sensor fabulosity). And enjoy the view of planes landing at the Executive Airport!

Love! Love! Love! This place! Finally a new gay bar in Orlando that isn’t a complete dive! It’s open during the day for lunch and dinner, but I came later in the evening for a birthday celebration. When we arrived, the parking lot was very busy! We decided to skip even looking for a space and went straight to the valet. It was only $ 5 and well worth it. And after that??? No cover! Get out! What’s not to like so far? They’re currently in soft opening, so I don’t know how much of this will change, but I hope not much. We hung out at the main bar for a few hours. Our bartender was great! Unlike most places where you have to hold your money out and hope someone comes to help you, we had the same bartender the entire night and was very attentive. We never had a problem getting his attention. I think they each cover a section of the bar which works great. I started a tab, so I don’t know the exact price breakdown of each drink. But I had such a good time that it didn’t bother me to spend the money. All along the bar and on a platform above the bar, they had different guys dancing. They were even friendly and stopped to talk to us. The DJ played great music and we hit the dance floor off and on during the night. There was a drag queen that would come out for a song every now and then. Did I mention the bathrooms? Bathrooms are typically treated as unisex anyway at gay bars. But this one(from the one I went to) bypassed the whole thing and made one huge bathroom for everyone. And the funniest part was the two way mirror that allowed those out in the hallway to see who was really washing their hands and who wasn’t! LOL I made sure to make a production out of my hand washing! Mr. Sisters is a breath of fresh air(literally!) It was smoke free inside, so for once I didn’t come home smelling like an ashtray. Stop by and check it out. I can’t wait to go again!
