Southern Nights

I’ve been going to this spot for several years. Each time it’s a bit different but usually fun. This time my friend and I were trying to find a restroom without a line. The doors to the drag stage theatre were open and we assumed the bathrooms were too. However, some random overweight man with a beard named Greg or Craig who pretended to be a manager literally chased us (2 women) out of the front doors. Please hire better security. This experience was truly frightening and weird.

Love the new look of the new Southern Nights… Tasha Long always amazes and the showbar looks great. The patio is always a great place to vibe.

Saturday nights are always the best!

Every time I go to southern nights it’s always a different experience! When you first enter the first thing you see is a bar and they defiantly know how to make a mean drink! We went and saw one of the drag shows they had and it was in sorta hidden entrance. They have a huge backyard patio with two bars. Inside the building they have one main center and two bars in the corner, shockingly they also have a hookah center here as well! You can take it anywhere and smoke hookah. Every time I go it’s a unique experience like no other, always with different out comes.

Great place to go dance on a Thursday night especially…

Ok drinks if you find the right bartender, expensive drinks no matter who you go to and I don’t know how they get past health code for the limited bathroom facilities for the number of people in that place. Overall the music was great but the facility was barely OK.

Our main reason we come here over other clubs in the area such as Pulse and Parliament House is for the music. We are a younger couple, so we want to jump around and stomp our feet and have a good time! We find ourselves spending most of our time outside because the DJ out there is better than the «guest» DJ’s inside (sorry, but true!) We aren’t big fans of old school throwbacks.
LAYOUT:
I think I counted around 5 – 6 bars total in the entire club. When you first walk in, you are greeted by the doorman who let’s you get in for free before 11pm. The bar is located right when you walk in. I was disappointed that there was no Malibu, but we drank Red Bull and vodka in substitution. The bar tenders are generally all friendly and quick to take your order. There’s a few VIP tables sectioned off to the left as you walk in, and also another big VIP section with private bar near the dance floor. The dance floor is right past the bar with a DJ booth just in front. There’s also a little runway walk for the gogo dancers who perform and interact with the audience. There’s a seperate room just for drag performances too. Hookah is sometimes available. As you walk outside there’s another huge bar with several heated lamps to keep you warm, and another dj mixing next to the bar. Chairs and tables are availlable outside which is nice. Bathrooms are pretty clean too compared to other clubs.
Overall Experience:
This is our go-​to bar every other Saturday. We recommend it to other singles and couples. We even went on a regular Friday night and still had fun with a nice turn out of people.
PS. please get Malibu liquor! :)

I came here on a Wed night. It was completely dead. There were a total of 8 people in there including myself, my date, and the staff. It took a while for us to be served. Bar tender was busy going around cleaning he hardly said 2 words to us. When he did come he came with another round of drinks that we didn’t ask for cause we were not enjoying our time there and we’re going to leave. Of course we ended up drinking them but besides the point we paid for extra drinks we didn’t want and sat in a empty bar playing overplayed hits. I could do that at home. when we were finally ready to go the bar tender was no where to be found and when we said we wanted to close out he scurried away before I was done talking as I wanted to switch out the payment card with my own rather than my date pay but was too late he walked away to fast. This was my first and probably my last. If I ever do come again it will be definitely on a weekend as the weekday needs so major promo to get things going and perhaps more sociable and approachable bar tenders.

I was in Orlando for a conference this past week and we went here on Thursday night so I didn’t expect much. There was no cover for college students and it was only $ 5 otherwise. There was a drag show at 12:30 and it was a lot of fun! It was $ 10 to drink all night, there was a live DJ who was pretty awesome and the visuals around the dance floor (they had a bunch of tv screens set up) were pretty trippy and amazing! Overall, a lot of fun and really reasonably priced.

They just remodeled but it is basically the same layout. The furniture has been replaced as have the fixtures. The best part is that the interior is non-​smoking. The outside patio is where all the smokers are. They now have people as go go dancers, but as with most clubs the dancers just stand their skimply dressed doing nothing. The drinks are in plastic cups, but I didnt expect anything different. I like the new version of the club
