Taco Hut

I use to love this place until today. I took my empoyee to lunch here around 4pm because he had never been .I have been coming here for a year and a half .I have a business down the street. The waitresses use to be extremely friendly and greet eveyone as soon as you walk in. Even if they were behind the counter. We came in and nothing it wasnt even busy. Then we sit at a table but it was a little dirty. The waitress told us to move to another table. I asked her can we just clean it. Then she walked away with an attitude and didn’t even set the free chips at our table that were on her tray .Then we were sitting there for awhile and the girl behind the counter kept saying help our table. She told her at least two times. finally she came over. As I ordered she didn’t even look at me and I asked if she heard me. Then she got more of an attitude. When the food was ready she said «here is your extra beans princess.» She was being a smart as because I asked for no beans on my burrito. Food was good but she was one of the worst waitresses I have ever delt with. I still tipped her 15% but I normally tip more since I was a bar manager for years and I know how it is to serve people. She needs an attitude adjustment.

Food is fine. I haven’t had anything that I hated. BUT it’s average and way too expensive for average. Chips with cheese were $ 8. Which I didn’t know because I ordered over the phone & my husband went to pick up the meal. When I saw the receipt i didn’t want to eat the food at how annoyed I was that we spent $ 8 on chips. $ 6 for a plain bean & cheese burrito. I added fries which was $ 3. So for a tortilla, beans, cheese, fries, & some chips we spent $ 18 w/​tax. I just can’t understand why chips are $ 8… They aren’t anything special. If this was a fancy restaurant I wouldn’t complain about the prices but this isn’t. Anyway the meal was fine but I couldn’t really enjoy it knowing the money I wasted. If money abundantly flows from your pockets and you don’t care that you are over paying for cheap ingredients then this place will be fine. I just personally can’t justify paying for the food from here when chips sprinkled with nothing special cheese are the same price as meals that contain meat. Maybe I am just overly annoyed right now but either way there are lots of Mexican food places around here that are good and don’t charge stupid prices.

My name is Sommer I was a customer of yours about a week ago. The service was absolutely great, the food was served rather quickly and the waitress by the name of Nimsi was more than a pleasure to have. My family has been going to Taco Hut for years, we mostly attend the location in Rancho Cucamonga off of Foothill. The environment in both locations is very welcoming and the most important thing, the food is outstanding! Thank you for your service and definitely a far star restaurant

In response to the review about Janelle. I couldn’t help it not to comment. Aside from the food being great Janelle is actually my favorite waitress there. She’s always smiling and very enthusiastic whenever a bunch of us come in for lunch. So if Janelle was rude to you… I can only assume you probably really deserved it. Remember they are your «Server» Not your «Servant» give them respect… Especially when they handle your food.

Ever sit down to a Mexican meal that was so good you catch yourself wondering if there was a polar opposite? Well, Taco Hut is ready to answer that burning question.
The Service
The waitress who was taking care of us communicated in that a really loud, over-​the-​top TGIF restaurant tone of voice. Jesus we get it.
A family of five who were apparently regulars to this awful place were served ahead of us and another party. If you’re going to play favorites at least don’t be so obvious about it. Also, if it’s someone birthday, don’t try and get the rest of the restaurant to join in. I’m here to eat, not celebrate a strangers special day.
The Food
This food is as white-​washed as it gets, and coming from a white person (me) that says a lot. Was served the absolute worst chicken burrito I have ever had hands down; I’ll be haunted by this piece of !@#$ for years to come.
The burrito hadn’t been grilled so the tortilla was gummy with every bite. Next, there was no rice or beans present, two essential ingredients for any burrito. Instead, it looks like they compensated by stuffing the burrito to capacity with shredded iceberg lettuce.
The cheese (pulled from a bulk bag, not fresh shredded) wasn’t even melted and fell out onto plate in a shower of little yellow pellets. The small amount of artificially processed chicken sat isolated in the middle of the burrito, book-​ended by giant wads of shredded lettuce.
The Decorum/​Atmosphere
This place is decorated with a Frankenstein mash-​up of sports memorabilia, alcohol promotional items, and little anemic television sets over the bar. The «rockin» soundtrack overheard ranged from Jay-​Z to Black Sabbath, audio as schizophrenic as the visuals surrounding us. Clearly this place wants to emulate the atmosphere of larger restaurant chains while working at half the budget. Nothing looked (or felt) like it had been wiped down in hours.
The Bathroom
Just vile, like one of those places where they just wait for everything to get really nasty before just painting over the whole mess.
Above the urinal I saw some pretty amusing graffiti but are solicitations for sex, phallic symbols, tits, and general insanity appropriate for a restaurant which appears to tout itself as a family friendly environment? Good job keeping on top of things management!
End Game
My bill came to $ 12.96, boy did I feel ripped off. Certainly did not leave a tip, in fact, I should have been the one receiving a tip for having to endure such a disappointing experience. If you have any kind of integrity regarding what you put in your mouth, don’t eat here.

Amazing customer service and the food has never let me down. Had a michiladas there and got to say it’s the best in this area so far. Janelle always smiles and treats me like we are family at home. Food comes out quickly and on point everytime. All the girls are great and very warm beautiful smiles. You have to be crazy to write anything negative about taco hut or you are just vindictive negative person that wasnt loved as a child…

My co-​workers and i visit this taco hut and have always had good customer service with the exception of today. The server Janelle argued with one of us because she brought the wrong order. She continued to argue with my coworker and eventually argued with a majority of our group. Stated we are always difficult when we come in. She continued by my comments to people at other tables. I will no longer eat at this location and i will no longer recommend it to anyone else. Management needs to have a serious conversation with Janelle and her behavior.

Great place! I have eaten here many times for lunch and have always had great tasting food. The servers really work hard at this place. I am always asked if I want a refill before my cup is empty and servers frequently check on guests. It’s hard to find a good lunch place that also has great service like they do here. Oh yea, they have a good taco Tuesday menu too-​I highly recommend this place!

Well I’ve been here many times, but never leave a review. My family have been eating here for years, actually started at the original in Rancho Cucamonga, before and after the fire. Anyways we were extremely happy when this Chino location opened. Since we lived down the way. So dad and I went in today TACO TUESDAY packed house. As always the service and the friendliness of the servers made the time slip on by. We both have what I would say one of the best CHILI RELLENOS AROUND and a taco each. Needless to say it was delish!!! Hate to say were moving out of the area, so are stops here will be few and far in between. SO THANKS FOR NEVER CHANGING!

Had the Chile Verde pork twice and loved it twice!
Street taco was up to par, Chile relleno was no joke, and the rice/​beans are everyday kinda good. Staff is friendly and pretty.

My boyfriend and I ate lunch this afternoon and and as always enjoyed the food. Our server was amazing. She was very personable and made our visit one to remember. Thanks Janelle ;) You Rock!!!

I had a wonderful, tasty wet carne asada and bean burrito this past Saturday. One of the best that I have had. The only negative was that the waitress charged me $ 0.75 for onions and $ 0.15 for cilantro. Are you kidding me??? I’m surprised they didn’t charge for the salt and pepper or the ice. It kind of makes you guys looking desperate if you are going to charge for herbs and spices. Just saying. Other than that, I loved your meat.

Food was good. I have to admit, when I walked in, I expected it to be a quick lil fast food place, but when I got there, the vibe was actually nice. It was lunch hour and pretty packed but the servers managed to keep up. The Taco was good and the chili relleno was delicious

Taco Hut is quite the unsuspecting little Mexican restaurant. I have visited this spot several times and I am yet to be disappointed; on the contrary, my experience seems to get better each time I visit!
The restaurant is very clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, and courteous – always making me feel like a long lost friend whenever I walk through the door. The overall vibe is relaxed where you can have a couple of brewskis with your broskis.
The food? Oh ho, ho, ho – another pleasant surprise. The food is really, really good. I’m a salsa connoisseur – there wasn’t even a salsa better than Taco Hut’s at the Salsa Festival. I dare to say Taco Hut has the best salsa that I have ever had. If you can stop inhaling the chips and salsa long enough to take a bite of your asada – oh wow. Wow! Seasoned and grilled perfectly and just enough crisp on the edges. I could not stop eating my half red/​half green sauce asada burrito. This is homestyle cooking made quickly. The food is fresh, appetizing, and very flavorful.
Need I say more? Stop reading this and go taste for yourself. Unless you’re just an uptight picky picky individual, you will be very pleased.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. It has amazing great customer service, food always on point beers always cold. Chips and salsa good. Didn’t realize it was a chain till a friend told me. But it’s a chain out in the i. e and I’d love for it to be closer to home but the drive out here will do.

A very positive experience here! I’m a bit out of town and the customer service from this store was amazing! Felt like I was talking to a friend more than buying food. Took it to my hotel for pickup and it was one of the best plates I had! Look for the plate that has jalapeños in it! Would have again!

Best Food and service in any resturant and to you other people posting negative reviews are being unfair …

I wish I knew our servers name. She was so sweet. We went on a Friday night, all the tables were full. Our server took care of the entire house, this slowed service a lil but non the less impressive for one server. (Somebody get this girl a Fitbit. I wanna know how many steps she takes and how many calories she burns on her shifts.)
Carne Asada Fries: meat was seasoned well, and portion was not obnoxiously large.
Asada Street Tacos: better than King Taco.
Asada Sope: topping ratios are great.
Chile Verde Chimi: Yes please, it’s flavor is so good!

Great food. Great service. Been here many time and have no complaints. Keep up the great service.
Need to go for happy hour.
