Went to taco Tuesday this past week and met with 3 of our friends. Was kind of busy but nothing outrageous. The hostess took our drink order and 10 minutes later they came. Had to ask to get chips and then I assume there wasn’t enough staff because the hostess came back to take our order. We all ordered tacos except my husband who order fish tacos. We waited another 15 minutes before coming back with our tickets to go get our tacos. We got them and so disappointed. I love El Pastor and this time the meat was dry and old. So we are eating our meals and finished before my husbands meal arrived. We asked 4 times and they said they were short handed and it was coming. When I spoke to the manager he never even apologized. Just that they only had two cooks and were slow. Won’t go back there again. It has gone so downhill in the last year.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this place last time I was here but this time I showed up for a happy hour(thanks for the ride lyft). Great food, drinks, and prices. The service was excellent. They brought out lots of chips and salsa. We had a group of 10 at one of the back tables. Plenty of TV screens. They have a decent beer selection. If you plan to host your happy hour here they will reserve tables for you. It can get a bit loud in the bar. They have a touchtunes jukebox. Lots of good music. If you’re a karaōke fan they have it on Thursdays. Looks like they were setting up for a live band on the Friday evening I was there. I ordered a carne asada plate minus the beans and rice. It was delicious, especially with that big jalapeño that was served along with it. Overall, inexpensive food and drinks. See you there for the next happy hour. Happy drinking/eating!

Been wanting to try this place for a while but was never in the area until the past weekend so we decided to give it a try. Their food is really good! We grabbed a spot in the bar and the bar area is fairly huge, plenty of space to grab a drink and check out a game. A went with the Barbacoa and the meat was tender and delicious. Rice and beans were also quite good. Margaritas were tasty and the Michelada great. Will definitely hit the place up next time.

Truly disappointed. We love the food, but service is non-existent in this establishment. Went last October and service was horrible. No one acknowledged us for over 20 mins and we ended up leaving. Decided to give them another chance last night and the service was exactly the same in the dining area. We sat there for 10 mins before someone brought us chips and not one of the 4 servers(some food runners probably) ever acknowledged our presence. The manager walked through twice to fiddle with the thermostat, but was oblivious to our table, as well as two others in the same predicament! Unbelievable! Ended up leaving again after being completely ignored for 20 minutes. We will never be returning…

The decades roll along and the mexican restaurant turned sports bar, named after a former LA Rams kicker still exists. To be honest the food is good, I tend to only come here on Taco Tuesdays with large groups of friends. It can get loud, and if you stay long enough on a Tuesday night there is a chance of participating in Mexican Karaōke night. The full bar is nice, the selection of beers could be expanded as it seems limited.

I love Mexican food. This place is pretty legit. Got a shrimp cocktail and a shrimp enchilada. Ate way too much and almost died from food coma on my drive back home to Orange County.

Spur of the moment decision to have dinner with the siblings. I must be living under a rock because I didn’t know this Zendejas moved across the street into a new remodeled building. In the past, I usually visited the Zendejas in Rancho. Anyway, Saturday about 6pm, we were seated right away in the bar area(—nice TVs!) I ordered the tostadas de ceviche and my sister ordered the same but also with a shrimp enchilada; my brother ordered shrimp enchiladas with avocado — we were pleased how quickly our order came out and the service with our waitress. She was on top of it and a very nice, hospital woman(unfortunately I didn’t catch her name). Food was very good and it hit the spot! :) Our dining experience here was excellent!

Way too loud. However, we went there to see Mexico vs. Netherlands(yes, that game!) and the setup, atmosphere and samba dancers they had perform made it one of the most spectacular times I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Great day, game was disappointing, #noerapenal. Brunch is usually not great, and if you’re not there watching one of the most important games of the year… It’s too loud.

Hands down one of the best enchilada style carne asada burrito I’ve had in a while. Horchata was delicious! Very impressive. Definitely recommend this place. Our server Vicky was very nice too. I’ll come back again.

Zendejas in Ontario best Mexican restaurant for the area.. Saturday nights are never the same. …always jamming with great Dj’s. Playing old school. .to disco. And Hip hop… a little of Latin Spanish music for everyone. …never a cover charge. …check it out

I wish I could give zero stars for the horrible service or lack thereof. We walked in and no one was manning the hostess station. We waited and had a delightful conversation with the woman in front of is about how’s she’s been waiting for 10 minutes. The hostess finally showed up, I told her 2 and a highchair for our 18 month old son. As she was gathering our menus she looked at us and I quote«Oh you have a baby, does he eat?» Ummmm… he’s not a small baby as in he’s walking and in the 90th percentile, yes he EATS!!! We were sat only to have 2 different servers look directly at my husband and not even acknowledge our presence, after 10 minutes we left only to have the hostess thank us for our business. The kids is hungry we can’t just hope we’ll be served, then again the baby might not eat so I guess it’s not a priority.

Ordered chilaquiles told the waitress I was vegetarian. She assured me it had no meat. I began eating, halfway through eating I noticed it had meat in the sauce. And now I’m super sick since I hadn’t ate meat in over 10 years. Greeeaaatttttttt

I have been coming to Zendejas since 2006. Today, it took over 15 minutes to get my order in for a drink. When I was done with it, no one ever came by to see if I wanted another one. It took another 20 minutes to request and get my tab. Just across the street from Zendejas is a cantina, in the old Zendejas location, named Brandon’s Diner/Cantina. They have a happy hour that starts at 3PM, and the prices are very reasonable. The food is excellent(American & Mexican). The atmosphere is great, and they have TV’s in each booth. Guess where I am going right now for another beer. The only reason I continued to come to Zendejas was due to the fact that they do have SOME friendly staff.

Awesome display of food! Not like those cheesy buffets in vegas. Menudo great! Abondigas great/chili verde and chili rojo! And the best part, 3 glasses of champagne. all for $ 18.95. Great deal when you see all that is offered. Loly was a great server, always checked on us and kept the champagne flowing! We will be back!

I have been coming here ever since I was five years old. I love the service and all the people. The best time is on Tuesday. They have $ 1.50 tacos with the purchase of a drink tea, soda, or alcoholic beverages. $ 1 extra for unlimited chips and salsa. Great service. Always clean. Sometimes they throw sports events. Stop by and try it out.

Came here last night for our Amigos surprise B-Day party. Welcomed and seated right away, we realized we were almost the first to arrive. No matter, the waitress was friendly and eager to make sure we were taken care of. I ordered a Classic Margarita, and the free chips & salsa were brought out with a couple of waters. Chips were thin, but they were just ok. The salsa is a bit bland, and served in such a tiny cup that you can barely dip your chip. You almost have to pour the salsa onto your chip. We later learned that they will serve you a delicious salsa verde with your chips if you ask for it. By then I was over it though. Classic Margarita came, and boy was it stiff! Not complaining, it was quite good. Nothing too special about it, but it satiated my craving. Ordered the Guacamole as an appetizer. It was good and we ate it, but I expected more from from a restaurant like this. It was pre-made and obviously scooped up w/an ice cream scoop. I ordered a one item combo with a Chile Relleno. The rice and beans were pretty good, the beans could use some melted cheese on them. But the Chile Relleno was SO delicious, that I will be coming back just for that. The taste was great, but the texture is what did it for me. My Wifey ordered a Chimichanga w/Beef. It was ok. Nothing I couldn’t make myself at home. It was huge, and my Wife couldn’t finish it. The tortilla was a bit gummy. Her Strawberry Lemonade had too much strawberry flavoring in it. Didn’t think that was possible. The service here was nothing less than spectacular! Our entire party(of about 24) wanted for nothing, and even the owner came to the table to check on things. The only issue was a miscommunication at the bar when I ordered my second Margarita. It took about 10 minutes to get it, and I guess two people were making it at the same time, so I ended up with two for the price of one. Works for me! The bathrooms were quite clean, and the place is well air-conditioned. Looks like a good place to catch a game too. 3-stars for most of the food, extra star for the service and the Chile Relleno. Worth checking out.

We came to Zendejas for lunch since I was in the area. The ambiance at this restaurant is clean and uncluttered. We were quickly seated and the waitress was prompt with our drink orders. They provided complementary chips and salsa. The menu items are typical of a Mexican restaurant, except the prices are higher than what you would expect. I ordered the 1 item combo — Shredded Beef Taco with sides of Rice and Beans. The meals came out very quickly after the order was placed. The rice looked and tasted like it was under a heat lamp way too long, with that dried out somewhat crunchy texture. The beans tasted watery and the shredded beef taco was practically flavorless. I drowned the meal with the salsa they provided for the chips, but that was not very helpful because the salsa was also very bland. We were really disappointed with the quality and flavor of the food. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, with screen TV’s all around and an open, clean layout. However, considering the high prices and tasteless food, I do not plan to come back.
