La Isla Yokomo Sushi & Seafood

The only thing I enjoyed was the lemonade. Other than that I disliked everything. The service was extremely slow, the music was too loud. The waitress kept socializing with the table across from ours, I could hear the entire conversation. The camarones all mojo de ajo were horrible. I did not even touch the tostada de ceviche because the shrimp was not deveined and it was raw, I know ceviche isn’t cooked but this one wasn’t even marinated in lemon. A separate waitress brought our check and noticed the untouched ceviche and took the price off the bill which was nice. To say that the experience was a disappointment would be an understatement.

I was craving sushi my wife wanted mariscos, after a quick Unilocal search we ended up here. Service is extremely slow for it being empty at 8:30 on a Friday night. Yokomo roll was good my wife’s mojo de ajo shrimp was bland.

Do jot come here if you are looking for good sushi. Their sushi is probably the worse sushi I have ever had. The service was just as bad. My husband and I were very hungry, yet left very disappointed.

Wow. This place was awesome.
I had shrimp cocktail. Made to order. Fresh ingredients and fantastic flavor.
My wife had ceviche also made to order and excellent quality.
The staff was very friendly. Smiled and checked in with us frequently.
We had the orchata and agua de jamaica. I recommend both. As they are made from scratch and you can taste those freshly made flavors.
We finished with sushi of shrimp and crab. That too exceeded expectations.
It’s a family restaurant that has all the hall marks of a local treasure.

Very good food. I had the Nuevo Culiacan sushi roll and a fish taco. Also very good service. I will be back !

I had the best tostada de ceviche called YOCOMO I love it I highly recommend it and the service was excellent.

I don’t usually write reviews. but I rely on them. So here it is… we only had sushi… so to be fair… this is the absolute worst sushi we have ever had…

I love the hand made shrimp tacos, live music and great customer service. My waitress Jackie is friendly and very attentive.

Tostada Naufrago is delicious! The portion was quite large, well seasoned, beautifully presented! Food was out a few minutes after I placed my order (that is always a plus for me). My son ordered Mexican sushi– the sushi was so tasty I ended up eating half of it from his plate. Michelada was on-​point; perfectly made… Delicious (in fact, I should have had more than one). The waitress and staff were attentive and very polite. Definitely a happy customer!
PS: I think they just changed ownership… I noticed it on the door… Could be why it was even tastier!

Delicious! I absolutely LOVE this place, I was told by a friend about a Mexi Sushi restaurant that was under new ownership — so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the aguachile w/​scallops tostada (to die for) and the Montecarlo sushi roll (half breaded/​half natural per our waitress recommendation) I am so glad I listened because it was so mouth watering! Oh and the micheladas were out of this world!
Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat at, and it’s local too!
Can’t wait to try other things from the menu. Yum!!!

I stopped here Wednesday night since I was craving a ceviche tostada and I’m so glad I did… The Culichi Tostasda was so bomb.
The place was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I came back on Friday night craving that same tostada since it was so damn good, and found out there were 2 for 1 beers! What a deal!!!
Definitely recommend this place.

Horrible not what i expected at all if you don’t understand Spanish don’t go here menu in Spanish you don’t even know what you are ordering. Chips are horrible not Japanese at all don’t even understand what kid of food they are trying to serve

Food very bland no flavor. Customer service was good no complaints just the Mexican sushi sucked. I had some type of sushi roll with chicken cheese bacon and cream cheese it was not good chicken was dry no flavor. It was the same thing with my second order of sushi but this time it had a marlin Fish. Will not go back

I dragged my coworker here today for lunch and I feel so bad that I did! I love fusion and to try new things but this place is just wrong.
1– EVERY roll has «Philadelphia cheese» GROSS!
2– Roll said it had shrimp NOT fried shrimp cake
3– Roll also said it had masago. I could count the little tasty eggs on the entire roll. When I asked the waitress (who was very nice) where the masago was she pointed to the 10 little masago pieces… To which I asked but where’s the rest of it? (she brought me more)
4– the rice was bland– not properly prepared sushi rice (no vinegar)
5– I also got shrimp tacos– no where did it say they were fried and the waitress told me it came with 2 (sounded good for the price listed). When we got the bill they charged me double for the tacos and the price was more than the menu listed. When I asked about this discrepancy the waitress said you had to order 2 (not that 2 came for the price listed) and that there was a price increase on the tacos that wasn’t in the menu.
REALLY???
NOT going back… My tummy still ins’t happy with me.

Delicious??? My coworkers and I have been here several times and we loved every single thing we have ordered. Despite their bad reviews for service and food I saw and tasted otherwise. Jackie I believe is her name was so nice. She greeted us since we opened the door was quick in taking our order. the food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. best believe I found my seafood spot!!!

Totally waste of money, this is not sushi! Horrible service, and rolls did not match discription! Now drinks are pretty good!

Really interesting stuff! This is a sushi restaurant that serves Mexican rolls. Had one with beef, shrimp, and 3 cheeses melted on top. It tasted like a cheeseburger. Another one had chicken and bacon inside. Another one had Serrano chiles and Shriracha sauce. Served with tortilla chips, and a squeeze bottle of chipotle mayo. Went here with Asim, and it was very interesting. Would love to try more.

Bad service… take for ever just for a plate of cevichi de yokomo… wouldnt recommend no one here

Horrible… Save your money. Go to a real sushi place… Stale chips, the sushi served shouldn’t even be considered sushi, and the food on the kid’s menu was stuff you buy from grocery store– ya know, those Dino chicken nuggets. Pathetic really… You couldn’t pay me to eat here again.
But I will say… The servers are nice.
