Mixed reviews here. I walked in with the cold shoulder from the lady at the register, but hit with a great smell of fresh tomato sauce cooking. The lady did warm up shortly later, but not a great 1st impression. The other lady making sandwiches was nice, and helpful. I got the meatball sub due to the wonderful smell. I was underwhelmed with the sub, as the sauce was too watery and the meatballs were dry with little seasoning. The cookie was decent but nothing special. This place does tons of catering and would be good for work lunches, but isn’t spectacular

I love this place! Definitely recommend it, they’re a bunch of sweethearts. I also recommend their chicken salad sandwich or the Italian!

Don’t let this place fool you. I thought about it once or twice but said hey wth, I’m so glad I found this lil place. Met beyond my expectations. The roast beef sandwich was delicious a 1000 times better than subway or Quiznos. Potato salad two thumbs up. The old lady at the cashier was a sweetheart

Great lunch spot! A little concerned at first because the location looks like a truck stop. Nothing fancy but very good food and friendly service. There is a small dining area with fun, eclectic artwork and a few tables outside with umbrellas. Very fresh, tasty ingredients with soft yummy breads; generous helpings of meat, cheese, etc. make for a filling and enjoyable sandwich that is reasonably priced compared to lesser quality fare from the chain sandwich alternatives. This is a quick and easy stop on the way to and from the Ontario airport.

Fresh bread and produce makes a great sandwich. I come here about 1 – 3 times a week. I love their sandwiches(toasted and non toasted). I hear they have some good Italian food as well although i have not tried any yet. The best part of this place has to be their staff. Family owned and they treat you like part of the family. Thank you for always being nice and remembering my order.

LOVE at first TASTE, SERIOUSLY! Cherony’s Deli kept popping up on my Unilocal searches for Lunch spots near my job, but I never paid it mind UNTIL today! It’s right across the street from In n Out… next door to a gas station. I was greeted as soon as I walked in… there were a few people in their having lunch and several coming in for take out. The lady who served me was very friendly and took her time to explain what were their popular sandwiches and what it consisted of. She was very patient with me(because I sometimes take forever to makeup my mind). I got the chicken salad sandwich on squaw… HOLYCOW… it is awesome! I also got one of their chocolate chip cookies… that thing is HUGE! I can tell this is family owned… which I LOVE!!! I will definitely be coming back !!!

I am a party pooper. It simply was not a 4 or 5 star experience for me. The chicken salad sandwich was just ok. Nothing out of the ordinary, lots of mayonnaise and chopped celery, but actually almost had the consistency of tuna instead. I appreciated getting to have it on squaw bread, but all in all, only good, not great. The chicken rice soup had lots of shredded white meat chicken and vegetables, but had been simmering way too long and the meat was simply dry and overdone. And then the broth had been seasoned with way too much dried basil. It was not good. The chocolate chip cookie was ok, but nothing that would tempt me a second time. It is too bad, I really liked the people behind the counter. Very friendly.

Best sandwiches in Town! I would eat here a couple times a week if I lived closer. The Italian sub is delic. Authentic Italian meats. They have good rolls, meat and fillings. I haven’t tryed the soup but it always smells sooo good. Family owned and operated. The ladies are very nice and even if I dont go for 3 months she still remebers how i like my sandwich, great service.

Simply the best deli the east side of Kellogg Hill. The only place that compares to this place is Capri Deli in Covina. The family that runs it are as genuine as they come. It’s a pleasure to spend my money there because I know it goes to a good family and not coporate America. I eat there at least twice a week. Try their Turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Have them toast the bread beofre they make it and have a cup of chicken and rice soup while you wait. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Second time here, first time wasn’t very impressed. This time I tried their meatball sub. I guess it was a busy day so they didn’t have meatballs readily available. They proceeded to grab some from the back which I’m guessing was frozen not sure. I DID see them throw the meatballs in the microwave for what seemed like forever. Very disappointed, the sandwich tasted like nothing. At lease throw a lot of sauce on there so it hides the taste, but they didn’t even do that. I attached a picture of my poor sandwich, you decide.

The first thing that struck me was the warm smile that the lady at the counter greeted me with when i walked in. Very welcoming. By the look of the staff, this place definitely seems family owned and that’s not always a good thing, but everyone here seemed very friendly and happy to be there. I had a turkey sandwich on pumpernickel and the homemade chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was good with good quality turkey and fresh veggies. The soup was home with fresh and crisp veggies. I’m definitely coming back, best deli that I’ve tried in the area.

Best Chicken Salad Sandwich ever. The staff is so friendly… the business is family owned, mom does all the cooking, and everything is made fresh. Don’t be scared off that it is in/next to a Gas Station.

Pretty good deli. The Italian sandwich is really good. Mom and pop shop, which makes it better in my opinion. I agree with one of the previous reviews that said goodbye Subway!

Wow — Unilocal reviewers were right about this place. If you didn’t know where it was — you would probably never find it. I found the place a nice addition being attached to a gas station. I found the service staff personal and appeared to be a family owned and operated business. I found the bread was fresh and meat portions on my sandwich were hefty. Soup was definitely homemade and was right on the spot. You are not going to go wrong with the food here. There is something for everyone.

Not the best thing in the world. I have to agree, the ladies behind the counter seemed very friendly. But overall, it was just A-OK… it was what you’d expect out of a gas station latch on. I ordered the Half Sandwich Lunch Special — ½ Sandwich, choice of chips, cookie, salad, or soup, and a small fountain drink all for about $ 7.50, after tax. — Meatball Sub: For a hot sub, it was just microwaved… not impressed. Beyond mode of preparation though, the meatballs were super authentic and herby; the amount of oregano, rosemary, fennel, etc. was a bit overpowering though. The bread was just bread, nothing special… but also I guess not bad. — Chicken & Rice soup: HITTHESPOT. Quite possibly the best chicken«noodle» soup I’ve had. Definitely the type of soup you’d crave when you’re sick in bed… or just needing a pick-me-up on a cold and rainy day. They also had cheese&spinach, and cheese&chicken soup… Overall. It was still just aite. I might come back for the soup, but I really wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Maybe if you’re getting gas, hungry, and in a rush… but I’d rather just go to Corner Deli. Bonus factor here though, the ½ sandwich was more like ¾ sandwich, so score?!
