Waffle House

After my experience with the location in NOLA East, I was fully expecting this Waffle House to be a mess. Not so; they were busy, but the staff was working together to make sure all customers were taken care of. We were promptly greeted upon sitting down and they quickly got everything cleaned up for us. My pecan waffle with chocolate chips was delicious, as were my hashbrowns with chili on top.
When the new, fancy Waffle House on Canal opens I’ll go there, but this one is great, literally right off the GNO.

I went here with a friend the other night because two other places we tried to go were closed. I am from Georgia where WaHo is much more common, they are literally everywhere. This was my first WaHo experience in Louisiana and I must say I was pleased. There was no wait for a table, the restaurant was clean, the service was good, the order correct, and everyone was friendly.
I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese melt which came with hash browns. Everything was really tasty and the portion size was generous in my opinion. They also let you pick from regular or Texas toast for you melt which is a nice touch. I went for the Texas toast and it was great.
This place, like all WaHo’s, is always a great bet because it’s dirt cheap, always open, and the staff are friendly. I know it is just cheap diner food but sometimes I just enjoy that kind of meal. If it’s late and you are hungry give this place a try, it is cheaper and much more satisfying than fast food.

I think this just might be the best Waffle House in THE WORLD. Wonderful food, exceptional service, and just overall amazing. Our server was Santana, and she was so kind and attentive. Veronica, the owner, happily greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. There was a 5 minute wait so she offered us coffee while we waited. The food can extremely fast and it was delicious! I haven’t had such great experiences with waffle houses in the past so I was hesitant, but this one is exceptional! Give yourself a treat and go to this Waffle House!

1^st Waffle House restaurant with a Greeter! Veronica made our morning! We past 2 Waffle houses up and we are glad we stopped here! This will be our number one Waffle House because of her!!! She opened the door to welcome us & kept us informed on the opening of a table. Service was fast for a busy Sunday morning and food was great!!! Entire staff was very attentive to all customers!!! Please Go see Veronica!

This place is top notch– especially during peak hours– everyone is so nice and accommodating. I had biscuit with sausage gravy– the waitress warned me the gravy was not freshly made– but I didn’t care– I was a little nervous– thinking it might be chunky with that film that tends to form on gravies that have been sitting, but it was delicious! Chunks of sausage– not gravy film. And perfect coffee. My son has eggs and hash browns and sweet tea– he is very picky– especially about his sweet tea– he said it was perfect. So we had a great late Saturday breakfast on the West Bank– just a few minutes across the river. And the customers are very stylin’.

Stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat on my way into work this morning. No time to make anything healthy and I didn’t wanna eat food out of a bag this morning from a fast food joint.
This location just opened a few months ago and its super clean and bright… right off the CCC on General DeGaulle. Service was awesome. My waitress Santanna was very helpful and awesome. All the employess greeted me as soon as I opened the front door and they were all engaging in morning convos with their customers.
They seem to be like family in here… and know their customers very well. They would literally begin making orders for the person when they saw them pull in the driveway… THAT’S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Not to mention my food was great…$ 6.45 for chicken breast and scrambled eggs. (REAL CHICKEN AND EGGS)…not that bagged stuff like Red is fussing about in OITNB. (Sorry I’ve been binge watching on Netflix :)

You’ll never eat at a Waffle House like it! The owner is a beautiful person. She moved here after Katrina to create jobs. She did that and then some.
Her staff is so professional. They take full pride in their work and i watched them handle even the rudest people. The food was cooked to perfection– the hash browns were so good! I loved the sense of community in this place and would love for others to stop by and support this organization!

Best Waffle House EVER. After opening the door for you, the manager gives you a high 5. The place was packed and the wait was considerable, but the food, customer service and atmosphere was worth it.
Loved the manager and our waiter, Derek. Both were very sweet, good people who clearly care about the quality of their service and customer satisfaction. The meat station was slammed and we waited a while for bacon/​sausage. Derek relentlessly checked in and apologized for the wait in a genuine way. Good food, great people. Wow.
This place is on their game. Cannot wait to enjoy the food again soon. :) thanks WH!

It’s Waffle house. Not too much to say except this one is newer so it’s the cleanest Waffle house that I have ever been to. Also, the staff was friendly. So pretty great for a waffle house. I had the combo with bacon, eggs, grits, raisin toast and a waffle. My food was good except I didnt like the bacon. I guess bacon doneness is a personal preference.
