It has such an awesome atmosphere! We sat here in the middle of the day to get out of the heat. Really chill and the bartender was really great and she helped us out a ton. I would definitely recommend it!

During our trip we popped in to this cute establishment for a quick drink. The bartender was very enthused to see us. The drink prices were meh, the atmosphere was nice but nothing to keep us coming back. An unhappy employee sets the mood for the patrons.

The location was great and a little off the beaten path. The service was ok, our bartender could have been friendlier, but overall a great place to grab a drink and people watch.

I’m not quite sure why this place gets a lacks review. We had a lovely time in this quaint bar. Donna is an amazing and attentive bartender. And the Bloody Mary’s were amazing. We got to see a Second Line come down the street after a wedding! I’m from here and my BF is from Cali. I’m so happy he got to see that. This is a must try. There are a ton of locals that hang here.

This was one of my favorite bars in all of NOLA. My best friend and I stopped by while we were walking around, checking out the shops and ended up going back almost every day. The bar is so nice and airy and kept clean. Plus the lady that works the bar during the day is absolute gem! I loved listening to her stories and watching her work. She was so friendly! She also makes a mean bloody mary! Their bloody mary mix was really better than most i have ever had!

I visit New Orleans often and this place hands down has the best Bloody Mary. The bar staff are so personal and knowledgeable. Everyone is welcome. In addition to the main bar area there is a cute little lower lever sitting area. It’s looks like a basement rec room in a good fun way! Drinks are fair priced. Good atmosphere.

So I decided to give this place another shot! Turns out the same grumpy bartender as last time was here. Well, I ordered a glass of wine… It came to $ 16 for one glass!!! The entire bottle itself is only worth $ 12 in stores. I don’t mind paying when going out but the fact that he serve it to me in a plastic cup was a little ridiculous. If someone’s paying $ 16 for a glass of wine, you should probably serve it in a real glass!!! The bartender then proceeded to talking to another customer about how he’s already put in his two weeks cause he doesn’t like it there. Well, being a bartender in the quarter myself, I know that sometimes working around certain guests can be difficult. But you never make it that obvious and act miserable/rude towards customers because you don’t like it there! Totally unprofessional. I usually give places two chances. It started with a bad experience which lead to an even worse experience this time around!

Terrible Experience. The blonde lady bartender was rude to everyone in our party. The drinks were fine(not cheap) but we got up and left after 5 mins.

Came in yesterday around 1130pm and the bartender was in such a rush to close. He had the worst attitude too! He acted like serving me a wine was doing me a favor and almost made me feel bad about ordering. He was extremely impatient and didn’t even thank me for a tip. He also charged me wrong. This bar has always sparked my curiosity since I first moved to New Orleans. I thought it was a good prospect for a local bar to hang out at since they carry my favorite wine. Big mistake! I won’t be back.

We had high hopes for this. It was on Royal, not Bourbon, and was a tiny, quaint place. There was only one other party of four there. The problem was, the bartender was absolutely indifferent to our needs. It was like he was at the DMV. No wonder the place was empty(that and the cheesy soundtrack). It is too bad, it could be great, but it’s not

We traveled down to New Orleans and this spot was halfway btw where our group was staying. Friday night we had a great time. Good deal on drinks and comfy, not too busy. Terrible music but convenient. The Old Fashion is strong. On Saturday we headed back to make this a tradition. Staff was incredibly rude(Troy). Will never go there again.

Donna is the best bartender ever! She took care of the entire bar while dishing out her quick wit. Donna will tell you like it is, serve you the best bloody mary you’ve ever had, and tell you one time(and one time only) not to talk bad about God, or anyone for that matter. What she really wants is a damn pool in the ground; don’t talk about it, do it. If you want a real, awesome, Nawlins experience, visit Touché, especially on a sunday. Not only will you be greeted with the always wonderful, Donna, you might even run into a man on his way from church, wearing plaid shoes from London, and who sold his car to be in movies(his car is in movies… not him)

In my previous review, I mentioned Donna as the reason we stop by this bar so often(well, and for the potato skins) but on this trip, we’ve been coming more at night when Donna is off. We’ve been lucky to have the same bartender every night we’ve stopped by, Desmond, and he is AWESOME! It is great knowing that no matter what time of day we come we will have an awesome and friendly face to greet us. Try the bloody Mary with infused vodka… to die for.

We were lucky to grab some drinks from this place before our Haunted History Tour! We opted for the Hurricanes and they were the most well-made one’s that we had on our entire trip! They had a large amount of booze but were so well blended that it wasn’t chocking you when you sipped it. The mix wasn’t overpowering which was nice because the other one’s we had from different places around town were very syrupy and not strong at all! They were also very quick to deliver your drinks from start to finish. They were a bit pricier than some places but, you get what you pay for and I will definitely be back next time I am in town!

This being one of the first pubs to open up after power was restored post-Katrina, i have to give Touché props. Hence one more star than is probably necessary. Donna was a source of a particular brand of local humour back when we all needed it. As well as her co-worker Mike. Fast forward nearly 10 years — i only come to this bar but twice a year at best — and she’s the same ‘ol gal! Donna doesn’t seem to age, either. Hmmmm… Smokier than god up in here, but that will change in a few months. Prices are okay… and the people– watching out on Royal is even better.

Pretty cool little spot off Royal. It was Mardi Gras so the drink prices were higher than giraffe tail, but hey, it happens. Seemed like it would be clean and cozy on a non Carnival day.

I’m going to be in the minority here over one of the bartenders, but here goes. I hung out here quite a bit over about a week just before one Mardi Gras 15 years ago because my friend was a bartender. One of the other bartenders was extremely rude to us when we’d come in — we were about 21 and not their normal clientele, which seemed to be older and richer. I wasn’t living in NOLA at the time so I really didn’t have much reason to return here but fast forward 15 years and now here I am, a NOLA resident. Over the weekend my husband and I(who was with me on that Mardi Gras trip) were wandering around the French Quarter and decided to check out Touché. It was that same bartender working! Her attitude hadn’t changed a bit. It was obvious she thought we were typical French Quarter tourists, but who cares if we were? My husband said he was looking for a place to sit down and she snapped, «You can order at the bar.» in a condescending tone, as if we were children and didn’t know that. So we go to the bar and my husband said he was going to the bathroom. I ordered a glass of wine but she poured two! We’d only ordered one drink but I guess she assumed he wasn’t going to order one and that we only stopped in for the bathroom. He was planning on ordering a drink but we were stuck with an extra glass of wine, which he doesn’t even really drink. The other patrons all seemed to be regulars. We sat for a little while and then decided to see if she remembered our friend. She seemed very put off, as she had been talking to the others and now she had to turn her attention to our lowly selves. She had remembered him but that was the extent of the conversation. It didn’t make her like us any more. The bar itself is great and would be a place I’d go to a lot since I live here now but this bartender makes me not want to go if she’s working(during the day). She acted like we were beneath her and wasting her time. She happened to leave not long after we got there and the next bartender was very nice, however.

I have stopped in this bar before as my aunt usually likes to go here for a quick cocktail but on this occasion the service was so bad I will never go back. The bartender was so rude. I walked in with friends and ordered doubles for the road as we were walking around the French Quarter. She had the audacity to tell me I couldn’t afford them. My friend was a bit taken aback as he wasn’t sure he heard her correctly. Needless to say we won’t be back… and neither will my aunt.

Rude staff, there are too many other options in this city. The bartender actually told my friends that they wouldn’t be able to afford their drinks, I guess we weren’t their kind of people.

Is a quieter place which is nice to me. People seem to more into talking to each other than at each other. Pretty convenient location, even though it is off the main drag.

Great dive bar– small and intimate. It’s off Royal instead of Bourbon Street so it wasn’t quite as crazy, which we really liked. Good drinks.

Every once in awhile, I wander into someplace in the FQ with friends and think«why have I never been here before?» I don’t know why I’ve never been to Touché before. It’s certainly been there since before I was of drinking age. Because OMG that downstairs(basement level in NOLA?!) paneled room… it feels like hanging out in my aunt & uncle’s home bar in the 70s.(Don’t worry we were only pretending to drink… really.) The evening we stopped in, the bartenders were a bit overwhelmed by the volume of people hanging out for Dirty Linen. But they were hustling and dealing with the drunks easily. Definitely a spot that will go into my rotation for FQ crawls. This is a solid old school bar. Order a straight pour, a beer or a basic mixed drink.

I spent a few hours here by myself on a Saturday night, as my friend was in town for a convention and had to make an appearance from 6:30 — 8:30 pm. I was recommended this place by a waiter where I ate dinner. I was looking for somewhere nice with a minimum«creeper» population and a friendly staff. I had a blast here. The waitress was awesome and I made some friends bellied up to the bar. A great time was had by all and I this was a great recommendation. There is a small bar to sit at, a few pub height tables, as well as a large basement room open to the main room that can sit probably 20 people comfortably. This would be a fun place to come to with a big group and just take over the whole area.
