Amazing space. Very good service, wine, and food. Loved the French triple cream cheese

Visited by myself and arrived between happy hour and dinner and so I sat on the couch and enjoyed chatting with the chef and my server. I had a really nice tasting of Italian wines along with prosciutto and asiago. I really want to go again with a group of people so I can order more and share it! It was a nice relaxing evening in a classy, soft atmosphere after travelling all day.

My wife & I ate here last night. Chef Antonio has recently arrived and greatly improved the menu and quality of the the food. We shared the two specials; Shrimp Monica(sauteed shrimp in a light, cream sauce with pasta) and Steamed Mussels(in a white wine, tomato sauce). Both were very delicious with great portions. My wife thought these might just be the best mussels she has had on this side of the Atlantic. Along with the cool location, great wine & service(hats off to Blake!)you have to check this place out. We’ll be back!

Went for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. They small plates were delicious. The Big Ass Meatball is HUGE, the truffle fries were good — although they were a little crispy. The cheese place was really nice — along with the preserves and pear slices. The Deviled eggs with caviar were delicious — but were just your basic deviled egg with some caviar on top — not really a distinct flavor or anything. As others have noted, the place is small. There are approx. 8 tables to sit at in the main room, and there are a couple out front, as well as in the back courtyard. The service was okay — we had to ask several times for things, but that may have been because we didn’t go up to the bar and order(which I saw several other people doing). I looked up the menu online just before going, but when we arrived there were a couple of different items on the menu. There are also specials for different wine/champagne flights. Would definintely return!

The ambiance is great! I like the exposed brick and the chandeliers. The wine list is very extensive. The sommeliers are extremely knowledgable, they helped me get my fruity wine :-)

This was my second visit to the Tasting room and I was not disappointed! This is such a romantic spot with a great ambience. The patio in the back has heating and was playing an old movie. The wine selection is fantastic — although most glasses will cost you $ 15 or so(the minimum seemed to be around 10). I recommend a flight to try a few options. I had the cheese board tonight — $ 10 for 2 cheeses. We had the cheddar and Asiago, and it came with bread, olives/pickles, jam, and apples — it was delicious !

Great wine selection with the sweetest staff. Definitely go with the Old Ghost Zinfandel, it’s beyond delicious and pairs beautify with chocolate. Might be one of the best I’ve ever tried. Bonus points for animal lovers– they have an adorable little dog that hangs around!

I came yesterday for a private event, and I am SO glad I did. The restaurant is on the small side, but very unique. The front has exposed brick walls, the three servers that were working the event were very informed about the wine selection and very friendly. The event was a vow renewal of a couple the guy works with, so I was a guest of the guy. The ceremony was held in the back, and was a great venue for a small-ish(30 or so guests) group. The food that was set out was wonderful. It is a very small restaurant, which will lead to a very intimate setting. I look forward to coming back and trying this on an ordinary day. The wine and food menus looked awesome. This is a very romantic setting. ***side note*** as this was a special gathering, I did not break out the gnome, but will next time I come…

I hung out here with a friend during happy hour a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the things I ingested. The only thing I wish were different is that the day I was there, they had a pop-up instead of the regular kitchen, so I didn’t get to try out the regular food. I guess that just means that I have to go back.

I’ve been coming to The Tasting Room for a while, but realized my initial review is a little outdated. They no longer have the pop up Arabella Casa de Pasta and have since created their own menu of tapas. They have a good happy hour offering $ 5 select glasses of wine from 4 – 7 everyday. The space is dark and romantic with natural light streaming in from the windows and the pretty chandeliers. They have a small quaint courtyard in the back for additional seating. The staff has always been warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about wine if you are up for a lesson.

Some friends who live in the area(hi Emily W.!) turned us on to this awesome Magazine Street spot. We’ve been to some wine tastings there, stopped in for just a few glasses, and even attended a wine pairing dinner on New Year’s Eve. The Tasting Room has a great selection of wines you might not find elsewhere. The food is fantastic, and the menu has a great selection of traditional cheese plates and lighter snacks like an amazing roasted cauliflower head. The menu also changes up often so you an always find something new.

Beautiful, romantic ambience. Good selection of wines/bubbles & option for flights so you can sample 3 different at a time. We had a party of 8 girls with separate checks & our server Jim was very helpful. Gave us good, personalized recs for food & drink & was adequately attentive despite how busy it was. Amazing service-I can’t say enough. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the food was just ok. I wish I could give this venue 4.5 but not an option. Excellent fare: meat & cheese plate, truffle fries, mushroom ragout, big ass meatball, corn, & pork belly noir(tasted like a succulent, fatty, BBQ pork chop-YUM) Pass on these: Mac & cheese(needed more seasoning, tasted a little like Kraft) & shrimp croquettes(bland & dry, would’ve benefitted from a sauce) Hope this helps! Will def be going back!

Perfect place for afternoon girl talk or date-night! Friends of mine were just finishing up a youth biology summit where they had been dealing with tons of pesky teenage girls so I assume there was no other thing they wanted but wine. I figured The Tasting Room was the perfect place. Being held hostage in a college dormitory all weekend… the gorgeous chandeliers, modern furniture and cute and serene courtyard were a good change of scenery. We ordered a mix of flights… reds, whites, and bubbly’s which range between $ 20-$ 25. Great selections and the waiters give you tons of info on what pairs well together. Also, they have pre-selected flights if you are a bit confused about what to try. The charcuterie plate was pre-selected as well with cheeses and meats which were great choices. The food menu(although I didn’t try anything this time around) seems pretty awesome and changes with whatever is currently in season. Great addition to your afternoon drink spots.

I love the Tasting Room. My first visit to this location was for my birthday I was totally impressed. When I arrived they actually gave me the cutest seating area that I won’t, to make sure they accommodated everyone they situated everything perfect to make all their customers happy. They even gave me a free glass of champagne for my birthday!!! The staff is very knowledgeable they truly know their stuff. I told them my normal type of wines and they made some good selections for me that I truly enjoyed. Their wine flights are $ 20 which I thought is just great! This place is sexy, this is where you go when you want to get dressed up and have some adult chatting time while sipping wine!!! Parking. Its street parking on Magazine, so it’s pretty much a hit or miss. You will eventually find parking in the area, but try not to get frustrated because it is seriously worth it.

Love it! Had my Prosecco not been flat, they’d be getting all five stars. Great atmosphere. Lovely outdoor area. Friendly employees. Clean restrooms(which never happens in a bar in Nola). Digging the flight options. I started with the Bubbles flight– Champagne, Cava, and Prosecco. The Cava was probably my favorite of the three. Prosecco is usually my go to bubbly, but this one was rather flat. I gave them the benefit of doubt and just told the guy I wasn’t a fan, instead of making a stink about the lack of bubbles. Moved on to Spaniards, by the glass instead of the flight, skipping the Tempranillo as they’re often so hit or miss. I started with the server’s choice, the Crianza. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Moved on to the Garnacha and was quite pleased. Roommate had a French Red flight, I think. He picked his favorite of the 3 and stuck with it by the class. We finished by splitting three of the cutest little cupcake shaped truffles. Delish! I look forward to going back.

Words can not express how impressed I am with The Tasting Room! My entire experience was fabulous! I started with the wine flight(20 $). The server allowed me to pick any three wines I wanted to try. I didn’t choose any specifics, just to try a champagne, a white, & a red. Champagne: Duval-Leroy. I loved it! Perfect touch of bubbles & sweetness. Not a dry sweet. White: Petit Siós Blanco. Blended white. Fruity & fresh. Red: Rubus. Cabernet Sauvignon. Right amount of body & flavor. I really loved all of the picks for my flight. The server also showed a lot of enthusiasm which added to my experience. & the pours were decent. I didn’t feel like they were cheap pours. Definitely enough to get a good taste of each wine. I also tried their small plates. Truffle Fries(8 $). It’s good for what it is. Definitely had better & definitely had worst. You can’t really go wrong with it. Cheese Plate(14 $). Three cheese, two loafs of bread,& grapes. I enjoyed the selection. We had a creamy/buttery, hard cheese, & a funky. I loved that they put honey over the blue cheese. It cut through the funkiness but I enjoyed blue cheese for it’s funkiness! Bac’n’Shroom Mac’n’Cheese(12 $). It was okay. Wild Mushroom Ragout(12 $). LOVE! One of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a while. I wanted to lick the plate clean! Moroccan Meatballs(14 $). Eh, okay. I didn’t like the texture of the meatballs & the couscous was boring. The Moroccan spices were very strong on the meatball. Crispy Chicken(16 $). Chicken was cooked to perfection. So juicy & crispy. I didn’t taste the truffle in the potatoes though. I do like that they topped the mash w mushrooms. Yum! The only thing is, I wish they were able to split the bill evenly! They can split checks but they itemize each check to make it ‘close’ to the split price. Overall, they have my business & I will be back!
