We came here for a night cap and that was quite early around 9pm. The bar is fairly large and you will find flat screens on every wall. The bartender acknowledged us as soon as we sat and asked what we wanted to order. I asked the bartender if she had a special drink and she looked as if she was confused. She advised that she didn’t and that they do not have any special drinks. I told her that we needed some time and she left. Another bartender came over and I decided to order a drink called«sex with Jennifer» she didn’t know what that was so I pulled up the recipe for her. She asked me if Ciroc was o. k for the Vodka, which made me think that was all they had. Later on I saw that their well vodka was Tito’s. Needless to say I ended up paying $ 14 for a drink that should’ve costed no more than $ 8. This bar is definitely good enough to grab a drink on the go oh and possibly charge your phone but that’s about it and if you do choose to order a cocktail make sure you know all of your options instead of trusting the bartender blindly.

Not impressed. Clearly bartenders aren’t hired for their skills or ability to hustle when it’s busy.

This is my favorite place to watch a game! Big screens everywhere! The staff is always accommodating and hospitable. Cold beer, great mixed drinks, good specials and great food. Nothing better than drinking a cold beer with some good food and great sports. This is the place!

Worst food. Ever. Service isn’t much better. Visited to watch a football game recently. From the outside the TVs and tables looked inviting. Unfortunately this was the best part. The food menu items sounded okay. However it legit tasted like it was from the McDonalds drive thru. The French fries were on point McD’s. Service was not very good. No table service. Okay, we will order at the bar. However when your food comes up, they put it in front of whoever is sitting at the bar and don’t even attempt to notify you that it’s ready. Also, when I went to pay, I stood directly in front of one of the bartenders. He proceeded to walk away towards one of the TVs to watch the next play. #seriously This place could have potential. It’s a cool location inside but the food and service make it such a bad experience. Better to walk a mile to another sports bar for the game. Okay if you want one beer but that’s about it.

Good bar to watch the games at, but would not put on a hockey game when I requested… Staff told me they don’t take specific requests. However, the following day they put the LSU baseball game on when the fellow next to me requested it. They’ve also recently started charging for waters… I enjoy watching sporting games here, but this place is starting to nickel and dime. Disappointing.

Great place for a drink and to catch a game. I live in the area and frequent it. The crowds are manageable and prices are reasonable. The bar food offerings are good as well. The wait staff is friendly and ownership cares about the quality of service. Definitely recommended!

Best ambience and amazing hurricanes. Just a quick stroll from our hotel found this little gem. Not to mention the best bartender Vanessa.

Went to the District after the Bayou Classic last nite. The service was below average. No one told us that we had to place our order at the bar. Then when we placed our order, they didn’t tell me that they were a cook short SO, the flatbread pizza that we ordered, took us 50 minutes to get. I thought that they could’ve at least let us know what the situation was.

Our group of about 35 people rented out The District for a party. They served Pastalaya, red beans and rice, and gumbo. All were delicious! We really enjoyed our time! The staff, drinks, and facility were awesome! Would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic place! It’s a great mixture of sports bar/club. During the week and on Sunday’s, it’s the best place to watch a game. They have the best tv’s in the area and usually get every game possible. Friday and Saturday nights it has more of a club feel, bringing in a good crowd. They have music videos playing on the tv’s, which I thought was great. The bartenders were quick, I never had to wait too long to get a drink even with a crowd. The food menu is limited, but good.

I was once a regular at the District. No more. I just experienced one of the worst meals I ever had … anywhere, not just New Orleans. They used to serve a pretty good roast beef po-boy. Today they served me dry, overcooked roast beef debris(there were some small chunks of meat in there as well) tasting more like vinegar than meat. They served this delicacy on a grocery store hamburger bun. Plus some decent but not good shoestring fries. At $ 14, I feel ripped off, I couldn’t even eat half of it, and if I wasn’t so hungry, I wouldn’t have bothered eating any! Restaurant Rescue has a potential client here. I gave them two stars becuase it is a pretty good bar. Just stay away from the food… unless or until they decide to go back to serving quality food. If I was rating the food alone it would garner zero stars.

Terrible service. Been sitting here for half hr and no one has taken my order. It specifically says on the menu to place orders at the bar table, but I guess that’s not the case. Been here for a saints game before and it was a blast. I guess during the week it just sucks. You’d think they at least have specials, 9 dollar bud light pitcher is the best they got to offer.

Let me tell you why I enjoyed my trip to The District. I was there as part of a bachelor party for the two NFL conference championship games in January. I had low expectations. I’m in New Orleans so I can think of much better ways to spend hours than at a sports bar. I was in no mood to drink and I had just had a huge po-boy so at Seed I did not want to eat. The District was perfect for my needs. The bachelor party had a corner that was great for both talking and watching the games. It was not too loud and you could actually hear the game broadcasters. The staff at The District never hassled us. If we wanted food or drink we just went to the bar and it was brought out to us. I did that a number of times, to ask for water which was happily supplied. I don’t go to sports bars but if forced to choose one, I’m taking the The District.

Somehow every drunk story I have starts with this bar. Always a great time, decent choices on beer and club music with music videos on the weekends. Very fun place!

Don’t screw locals just because it’s fat tuesday. If you’re out of stuff on your menu, don’t charge the same price for a crappy substitution. 12 dollar po boys don’t consist of a 5 cent hamburger bun, processed cheese from rouse ‘s and over cooked, underportioned meat. Let people know what is good before they waste that much cash!

Last Sunday, we were walking around trying to find a place to have a good, casual time, and we came across the District. This bar has a very neighborhood feel to it, and it seems as if most people that were there live close to the bar. The bar was obviously not the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen, but they had some pretty large TVs which are great for watching whatever big game is on. The bartenders were really welcoming and friendly. I think the chef must have been bored with the lack of orders on a Sunday, because randomly, the bartender brings us fries and a quesadilla that we never ordered! It was awesome! The fries come with some queso-y gravy sauce which is really awesome. We ordered another one!(I think we had to pay for that one haha) Good business strategy. I will definitely be back for this casual bar with cool bartenders and cool patrons.

New Orleans is desperately lacking in sports bars, but The District just doesn’t do much for me. Drinks are overpriced, the small food menu is mediocre & overpriced, and I’m clearly a bit older than their target demographic though I have to say multiple bartenders and a manager that I interacted with were all very kind. It appears to be clean, and the décor is minimal but fine, and there are a lot of TV’s but this place just seems to be trying too hard(but not wanting to seem like they’re trying). If you’re looking for a 20-something Warehouse District bar with football on the weekends and music getting cranked up on Fridays & Saturday nights this may be your place. If you’re looking for female bartenders in tiny spandex shorts(which appears to be a dress code requirement) and tight shirts with cleavage then this may well be your place. If you’re looking for cheap drinks or good food this is most definitely not your place. Overall, it’s okay and I’m sure some people will feel at home here but I don’t personally see myself coming back.

Definitely an A-ok bar. We stopped in to have a few beers and watch some of the World Cup. The bartender that was on when we got there was a nice guy and was conversational. We were drinking just beer and shots so there isn’t much I can say on his drink making abilities. About halfway through our time there a new bartender came on and she was less than friendly and when a friend of ours ordered a long island ice tea(I know, it’s a poor drink choice to begin with), it came out tasting like a gin tea, so I guess if you are there be careful about ordering drinks like that, otherwise it’s a good place to catch a game.

The District has potential, but fell somewhat short. I met a group of friends here one night as the starting point on a truly epic bar crawl. I won’t give away the theme, but this bar fit it perfectly. The good Canebreak on tap and a reasonable selection of other bottled beers and drafts. I don’t remember exact costs, but I remember them being somewhat high. A previous reviewer mentioned $ 4 for Coors light, which if that is still the case, that is insanity. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. The bar is a good size and even though there was a bunch of people there, our group was able to avoid the crowd. The not so good The crowd is not really my style. Some groups seemed like tourists, but others seemed like the bro crowd normally associated with Lucy’s. There is nothing wrong if that’s your thing, but it isn’t mine. It seemed that the bar was mostly dudes which made it somewhat awkward for the ladies of our group to walk in, or around the bar without being confronted by some bro asking for her pertinent information. Again, if that’s you’re thing, more power too you, but it isn’t my scene In summary, I didn’t really like it, but would be willing to give it a second chance if in the area.
