I ordered a basic burger and the buns didn’t taste very well, not to mention the burger bun was falling apart. Furthermore, the service was out right terrible. At the end of our meal, we told the waitress that we were in a rush and we would appreciate it if we could get the bill. She was picking up a plate from our table and decided to slam/throw the plate back on the table and stormed off. She was completely rude and she didn’t even bring us the bill herself. Instead, she asked another waitress to give us the bill. This was extremely poor service.

We stopped in for an impromptu lunch and were more than pleased with what we found. The rice and beans that came with the roasted chicken were delicious. The soft shell crab special was a perfectly executed seasonal dish. Drinks were well mixed and service was friendly and prompt.

I went to the one in Metairie right after it opened a while back and didn’t like it at all, so I was disappointed when some other people wanted to go to the Tchoupitoulas location a few months ago. I was pleasantly surprised that this location was much better. I’ve been back several times since. Usually I get the buffalo chicken salad, occasionally a soup. I’ve tried a few others dishes as well. Some days are better than others… sometimes the salad is a little wilted like it was prepared too early or maybe was left from the day before. Overall it is good, though, with consistent service.

After spending all day in the French Quarter, it was nice to stroll through the Warehouse District and have dinner in a very spacious restaurant. It’s a great setup: funky, industrial chic. Husband had a burger and was quite delighted with their house made«Angry Pickles.» I had the Ahi Tuna Salad – delicious. My wine wasn’t great, but husband’s sweet tea peach cocktail was. He wasn’t feeling well, so we didn’t eat a lot, which is too bad, because their dessert selection looked wonderful. We will come back next trip when we’re both in top shape :-)

Well decorated and comfortable. Menu is smallish. Our table had several orders of chicken and waffles(note that these are chicken tenders, albeit well cooked and not«kiddie style»), a pulled pork sandwich, blue cheese chips, and the shrimp appetizer. Food was solid but nothing to write home about. Good location, not terribly busy on a Thu at 6pm, friendly hostess and server. Beer selection was fairly broad. Water cheerfully refilled. Checks cheerfully separated. Open kitchen. Not great if there’s a lot of sneezing going on. Put it out of your mind, said my dining companions. I couldn’t. Allergies, yes, must be allergies.

Can’t pass up the chicken and waffles. 60s and 70s music playing in the background — classic desserts — well worth the stop!

I had dinner and breakfast at this place, because the hotel gave me $ 15 per day vouchers for my stay, and I wasn’t a fan. First of all lets begin with the service. I took a seat at the bar and the bar tender walked past me several times. After 10 mins I had to ask her If I could order a beer. She brought my beer out never asking if I wanted to see the menu. Another 10 minutes I called her again to ask for a menu. Another 10 minutes later I had to ask her again if I could order… can you catch my drift. If you are a waiter/bartender, and want a tip, you need to provide service! Anyways I order the BBQ Shrimp with Puffed Rice. For $ 22, its was a complete ripoff which consisted of 5 medium size shrimps. Again I had to ask for the bill, thus I gave a $ 3 tip which was like 10% of the total pretax bill… I hope that sent the waitress/bartender a message. The next day, I decided to have breakfast. This time, service was great but when my food came out it was not what I ordered. They gave me some other dish on the menu. I spoke to the bartender and she went to remediate the issue. When the food came out it was cold. seems like they just took the eggs from my messed order and transferred to the new plate. In addition the bacon was not the candied bacon that was on the menu, instead it was smoked(which was on the original wrong order they sent). All in all bad service and cold food. If it wasn’t for the $ 15 voucher I wouldn’t have eaten here.

I came here about 5 months ago for an early dinner and everything was great. Service was fine and the ahi tuna salad was delicious. This past weekend we were looking for a place to grab a late dinner and I suggested Legacy. How embarrassing… We arrive, put our name on the list to be seated and go get drinks at the bar. The bartender was the most soft spoke person I have ever encountered outside of a library, which was slightly annoying. I will say the Moscow mule here is pretty solid. We eventually get to our table and our waiter… LORD, THISWAITER… We felt like we were just a complete inconvenience to him. Never mind that the food basically sucked, except for the duck nachos, those were good. Everything else was just food. Towards the end I ordered a glass of rosé and out comes something that looked and tasted like a chilled pino noir… I didn’t care for the taste, and really was expecting a usual light pink rosè. So I sent it back and we just asked for the checks. 15 minutes roll by and we finally get our checks, of which were completely messed up so we just tell the waiter to split it down the middle. After he rolls his eyes at us, he takes our money, we sign the tabs and get outta there. I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone in the future. It was a complete swing and a miss.

I was really excited to try this place out because my friends’ pictures of the food from this restaurant always look so good so I came in with somewhat high expectations. Environment: really cool décor and pretty spacious restaurant. I hate going into a restaurant and being able to clearly hear the table next to me’s conversation just because the tables are placed too close together. Service: very friendly. Nothing too over the top and nothing to complain about. Our server was also super helpful when it came to advising us on what to order. Food: ahh… this is where it Legacy Kitchen loses me. As I stated before, I had high expectations so maybe that’s why I wasn’t too impressed with the food. Their portions are a very generous size though. Duck nachos: they were good but nothing to rave about. I felt like the juices from the beans were taking over the nachos so it kind of made me go ew after the first layer was done. Chinatown firecracker shrimp: comes with 6 shrimps. The sauce was creamy and had good flavor but a little too heavy for my liking. BBQ back ribs w/crawfish cornbread casserole: the ribs were nothing out of the ordinary. They weren’t tender and tbh, it just tasted like the slapped on some BBQ sauce from a bottle and grilled it. Blackened crawfish cream market fish: I’m honestly not even sure what kind of fish I was eating because I don’t think I ever was informed but the sauce definitely lacked flavor. It looked good but when I tasted it, there was not much there. If I took a bite of the fish without the sauce, all I tasted was an unseasoned fish. Was definitely disappointed with this dish. As for the desserts, the chocolate cake was good but how could you possibly mess up a chocolate cake? We also got the bread pudding but it wasn’t as soft as I usually like. All in all, maybe the other dishes on the menu are worthwhile but as for the ones I got, I’d just give Legacy Kitchen a solid 3⁄5. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t anything more than average.

This place was perfect in every way! Food was fresh and service was amazing! Scott was out server and did an excellent job! Great atmosphere. Played a good mix of music and just the write volume for a restaurant. Burgers were great! Chicken a waffles were amazing and the deserts are to die for!

We walked past Legacy Kitchen several times before we ventured inside for dinner. What a pleasant surprise. Great reception and table service. They don’t have a gluten free menu but the server knew just what items could be modified to meet a gluten free diet. Fresh squeezed lemonade and lemon ice box pie were both excellent. Salads and entrees were good as well. Our party had the salmon, chicken and filet — all were well prepared and tasty.

So the décor is really cool, it look like if modern and hipster had a baby. The food was okay, I was expecting more comfort like dishes, like a meatloaf and mash. I had their fried chicken sandwich, yes please! The chicken was juicy and the flavor was strong the bun I didn’t care for it could have been softer or just a more suited bun to bring out the chicken even more. The ranch slaw thing that they created was awesome sauce! I don’t like coleslaw because its usually wet and full of no flavor, this was different it was crunchy and had little burst of flavor and paired with the fried chicken match made in heaven. My friends had the steak and baked potato, all three of them had to send their potatoes back due to it not being even warm. And two of my friends had the steak and was not pleased. One complained about it having a burnt taste. So it was suppose to be like a Hawaiian steak but I think since they were so used to Houston’s steak where its juicy with a sweet glaze. This steak was more like they cooked it with the glaze on and the sugar burned on the sides and a little on the top. And both said the steak wasn’t juicy. I also had their craw fish cornbread dressing, I’m not sure if it was because we came at night, but the texture of the dressing was like it was cooked a few days ago. There was only a few areas were moist, I feel bad because it had potential. Finally, the part most look forward to with all New Orleans restaurants, a good drink. Well folks this is not the place. I had the long island ice tea and I was still sober the WHOLE time. I feel like if you pay more than 11 bucks for a drink then can they hire someone who knows how to make a drink, I don’t need all of the sour mix and a splash of liquor its the other way around. And if you are going to make a drink like that then don’t charge so much I paid 13 bucks for sour mix drink on ice. My friends all had different drink from the pims cup and the porch swing or something to that effect all saying the same, there was a warm feeling for about 7 minutes, but not anything worth saying I had a New Orleans drink. The balance was the staff was really friendly and that chicken sandwich.

This is one of the better hotel restaurants I’ve experienced. The Marriott comped several meals here for my room, so I stopped in for breakfast on two days. I ordered the BBQ Shrimp and Grits, as well as the crawfish omelette. Both had decent flavor and had the regional flavors that most hotel restaurants fail to include. I would not go out of my way to go to Legacy, but as a on hotel property establishment it was very above average.

We went for lunch. The décor is very nice, rustic contemporary. The chairs are very comfortable. Service was quick and very attentive. We ordered the so Georgia chicken, the maui wowie chicken, the fish of the day sandwich and a kids’ cheeseburger. I also ordered a porch swing drink. The porch swing tasted like peach tea. You could not taste the alcohol at all. Dangerous! The kids’ cheeseburger fit the bill — nothing spectacular. The fish sandwich was mahi mahi. It was grilled with some sort of glaze. It was very good — Light and fresh. The Maui wowie lacked a little wowie. At other restaurants it would have been fine, but next to the fish sandwich and the so. Georgia chicken, it was meh. Now, my sandwich, the so. Georgia was amazing. A huge piece of fried chicken topped with cole slaw. So so good. Their breading is dream making. Also. The plates being delivered to other tables looked awesome. I was jealous. They know how to do fried. Wish i could eat here again, but our vacation is nearly over and our meals are all booked.

Believe it or not, out of all the places we ate in our 2 day stay of NOLA, this was actually my favorite. After eating a bunch of étouffée and gumbo, my significant other(who’s from Boston) was pretty sick of standard Cajun food, so I found this place on Unilocal and made sure there was a burger or something on there for him. Because it was a rainy Friday, it wasn’t busy. Plus since we stayed at the convention center Marriott it was only a short walk away. We were seated immediately and I adored the trendy/hipster vibe it gives off. But don’t be afraid, as this place isn’t full of hipsters. Lots of families and business lunches were going on. They have a small but nice selection of wine and beer. Boston boy opted for the NOLA blonde and I stuck to ice water. He got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the taco trio. You can mix and match the trio, so I got one of each, a redfish taco and shrimp taco and also the Talledega aka Ricky Bobby pulled pork taco. ITWASAMAZING. My favorite was that pulled pork taco, topped with shoestring fries and this herby ranch dressing and geez… yummy. The other two were excellent but that one was my spirit animal! Boston loved his huge sandwich and fries and we left thoroughly full. Prices were on point for anything in the area(aka pricey), but I gladly paid the $ 20 for tacos!

I sat beside her, not across, but beside where we could reach over and touch hands. Where is she now, I wonder, thinking back on that meal. I return, have the same meal, but it is not the same. I just want to feel the same. Great atmosphere and service. The chicken sandwich and the pulled pork are awesome!

We stopped into Legacy Kitchen after a late meeting at the Convention Center. I should have known the service was going to be an issue when it took the hostess a good five minutes to decide where to seat us, find the menus, and lead us to the table. I ran off to the restroom, which was kinda far(in the hotel lobby), and yet, when I returned, my friends had not been greeted, or gotten water, or anything. Eventually, our server showed up with water and took drink and app orders. Two of our drinks came out quickly, then I was served a beer. I was like, «that’s not mine»(because I ordered a cocktail) and was returned an incredulous stare that equated to «but I brought you a beer.» Confusion ensued, but eventually I got my drink, the Legacy Smash(whiskey, strawberry syrup, something else). It was decent, but go for the minted Moscow Mule, way better! We ordered the guac and chips to begin. The giac was very fresh, and served with chopped tomatoes and red onions, but was desperately in need of salt. Once that was applied, it was a nice appetizer. However, I wish we hadn’t ordered it, and it was because our upcoming entrées were so delicious and so filling, I needed that stomach space! Two of us got the buffalo chicken salad, and the other got the ahi salad. Yum! The buffalo chicken salad was super good — well-seasoned, lightly fried chicken with a delicious buffalo glaze(so good that I asked for more) and mixed greens(including kale), tomatoes, eggs, blue cheese, etch in a buttermilk ranch dressing. The only sour note of the salad was the croutons, which were soggy and cold — I think they had been refrigerated with the salad greens. I also wish I hadn’t had to wait so long for my additional buffalo glaze to arrive — our server disappeared for so long that we had to flag down another server to find her and send her our way. Ugh! We also shared a side of the crawfish cornbread casserole. Oh yeah! Again, I wish I had left more room, because this stuff was gooood. You could just taste the crawfish in the favorable cornbread dressing… everything melded so well together. So the food was excellent, and I’d return again. I also hadn’t mentioned it previously, but the décor was awesome as well. However, the service really needs work, thus the star rating. It was nowhere near the level of the food, I’m afraid.

One of the better dining experience in New Orleans. Place is great to look at, I spent my time dining at the bar so I didn’t scope out the entire place but with their full length windows and open space the décor is very modern and inviting. Staff is good, bartenders move quickly and are effective with their cocktails, they make well balanced but strong drinks. Hostess was friendly, no reservation meant no table but she was nice enough to escort me to the bar area. The Talledega version of the triple taco platter was excellent. It is pulled pork with pepper jack topped with shoestring fries and BBQ sauce. Pork was moist and flavorful, I thought the fries would be an odd add-on but their saltiness boosted the total flavor. Rice and beans were just okay, decent extra but don’t really do much to compliment the awesomeness that is the tacos. Excellent place to grab a meal and a cocktail.

Legacy Kitchen is my kind of place. It couldn’t be anymore«me». Allow me to explain. It’s super laid back, the décor is so cool it’s almost indescribable and the food is out of this world. We ordered room service from here and we were so blown away by the Duck Debris Fries we went the next day for lunch just to taste those again. My guy loves loaded cheese fries. I mean, LOVES them. When they’re on the menu, he’s getting them and it is saying a lot to have him declare that these are the best he’s ever had. They are hand cut, salty, chili, cheesey, duck and crawfish loaded goodness and you should get these in your mouth sooner rather than later. I’m serious. The space is so perfect. There are ample televisions to watch football and huge windows to people watch on Girod and Tchoupitoulas if that’s more your style. The burger here is legit, but I’d skip the nachos. Enjoy!

I’ve only been here for happy hour and all three times(yes, three!) I sat in the bar. They had 2 for 1 draft beers and $ 6 bar bites. All of the beer is local craft drafts, none of that Bud Light nonsense. We ordered the Gator Nuggets, Pretzel Bites and Duck Nachos, and Abita Strawberry(it doesn’t taste like strawberry much). The food was good and the beer was a nice easy drinking beer. Everyone(10 people, mostly guys) drank solely the Abita Strawberry so it’s not a girly or sweet beer despite the name. The staff are all really nice, super polite, friendly and attentive. The bar/lounge area is very cool, loved the Industrial décor. Plus you can play Shuffle Board, Foosball, watch TV, hanging out, whatever. There’s a separate dining area and also a patio if that suits your fancy. A really cool spot, check it out!
