Après Lounge

I was at Après last Thursday and had a Ball. It was nice & upscale. The drinks were great and the staff was very hospitable. The DJ was killing it all night. We danced all night. Highly recommend Après to everyone looking for a good time in an mature upscale venue. I will be back.

One of the few lounge/​bars in NOLA. Sometimes its packed and sometimes totally dead. The crowd can be pretentious millenials. The music is good but no one is ever dancing.

HUGE RIP OFF!!! THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!! Make sure you ask for an itemized receipt!!! They won’t offer it unless you request it. When I brought it to the manager’s (if you want to call him that) attention he told me to dispute the charges with my debit card company!!! HUGE RIP OFF!!! I wish I could post my bank statements. After I had the disagreement with the staff regarding how much was STOLEN from me they charged my card AGAIN twice, an extra $ 60. This place is a joke! Tremendous egos from minimum wage staff.

I would have given this place zero stars if I could. The only good thing about it was the sweet security guard.
My friends and I were at this place bar hopping for a bachelorette party. Around 10pm someone comes up to us and tries to take our bar stools. We tell them that we are clearly sitting in them (4 inch heals…) and don’t understand why we have to move. Someone else comes up and tries to pull the chairs out from us even though we are still sitting on them. The 7 of us ask for a manager (only two of us are on stools). This extremely rude «child like» guy comes up to us and starts yelling at us to leave, then calls the security guard to escort us out.
I’m from New Orleans, and have been to a ton of bars here and never have I been treated like this… Even going to the odd bar in the icky French quarter. Clearly the jerk that runs this place isn’t a local and has no place running a business in this city.
I, or my friends, will never go to this place again and neither should you.

Great place! It’s one of a kind in New Orleans. Friendly staff, great drinks and always a fun crowd!

I love champagne and sparkling wines so I encouraged some friends to check this spot out. Walked in with a group of 5 at 7pm on a Friday and no other patrons there. Did not feel welcome to stay and order cocktails or champagne so we found fun elsewhere. A late-​night spot per bartender. But I would have to be persuaded to go back. Cold shoulder is not my vibe.

I was in New Orleans for a week in ⁵⁄₂₀₁₅ and had the absolute pleasure of finding this Lounge/​Nightclub. So let me first start off by saying that I am from San Francisco and I expect a VERY specific type of service from a nightclub when I get bottle Service, and I do so quite frequently. I expect to be taken care of, paid attention to, prompt service, and welcoming hosts.
Apres Lounge met all of my standards and more!
I first walked up to Apres around 11:30−12am or so on a Friday night with some friends in town for a bachelor party. The place was already COMPLETELY full. When I walked up to the front I informed the doorman that I wanted to get a table with a couple bottles and quite literally within 1 minute I met Ellis, their resident host. He greeted me with a warm smile and made sure I knew that even though the club was full he was going to make sure I was happy.
About 5 minutes later, he escorted my friends and I to a table already set up with our first bottle and our server Jessica was waiting and smiling (and I’ll add in it was quite the smile).
The crowd inside was fantastic. The owner introduced himself to us, once again with that southern hospitality that I find extremely endearing, and the music was on point.
We enjoyed our night so much that we came back on Saturday night as well and got a much larger section.
If you expect prompt service, great hosts, friendly servers, and a crowd to hang and party with. GO TO APRES. Stop looking elsewhere because I’ve looked and there is not a place in New Orleans that I would even put in the same category as this establishment. 5 stars across the board from start to finish. This venue is what made our 5 day trip to New Orleans.

EDIT: I can’t remember the doorman’s name but he was a shorter white man with a full beard. I apologize for forgetting your name sir, but you were also a highlight. Very respectable, prompt service. Helped us out with a situation on night one that was quite laughable. You know who you are. Thanks buddy!

A hidden gem with a Miami vibe, but New Orleans charm!

Good music and ambience. Unfortunately my jacket was stolen and their security people were not useful nor friendly.

My wife and I went to Apres for their New Year Eve party to ring in 2015. It was an outstanding evening with fantastic music, great hors d’oeuvres, superb drink specials and a wonderful venue. This was everything we were looking for in an upscale NYE party. The bar itself is very nice and there was plenty of room, as well as tables since we got there early =)
The bartenders were attentive and nice, and the staff were exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening out and were very pleased with our choice.

Great venue, staff, and music! I hosted a fundraiser for my non-​profit organization, and it was one of the best parties we’ve ever had. Customer service was friendly, quick, and professional. I had nothing but compliments and praise from the over 250 guests that attended.
On the non-​event side, I have also been to this Lounge for the random weeknight (or weekend) out and have had a blast every time. A TON of champagne to choose from, but they also have some extremely talented bartenders to serve up any cocktail you want.
Also, HUGE plus for being non-​smoking (inside) and having outdoor patio furniture.

The music is great and the two sides of the bar are awesome if you want to come here to have a good time and dance go for it, but DON’T I repeat DON’T come here if you want to get a drink… The service is horrible!
Went on a weekend and gave it a try since it was just opening up and close to everything! My experience was mediocre at best… the music was pumping through and fulton street was having a great time, but actually getting a drink in this place or a friendly waitress is not something you will get here. I gave it another try and was in the VIP section for a wedding and it was cute, they gave you chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne, but then getting service anytime after that… you can forget it! I really hate giving bad reviews, but something definitely needs to be done about this since this place has so much potential…

I had a great time. It was a friday night. The vibe was cool, DJ was playing top music hits and the bartenders are really cool and attentive.
I can always appreciate a place with bottles of ace of spade for bar décor. The décor is very trendy and contemporary. You can tell the decorators put alot of time and effort into planning and design. The drinks were great and this is a nice spot for group parties.
Parking is not the greatest but Fulton is a nice block to walk on.

So this is a snazzy little lounge that is a unique addition to NOLA. It really does not feel like the usual bars we’ve got going on around here; it reminded me of being back on the west coast! It never hurts to have a little bit of fancy splashed on a city. Who the hell doesn’t love the sound of the words ‘champagne bar’?
You will want to adopt the lettuce and water diet to squeeze into that Herve Leger mini and practice walking in your Giuseppe Zanotti’s a few days before you come here with friends or on a date. The crowd last night was lookin’ hot — definitely a group that likes being seen.
As I mentioned in my tip, you can only purchase champagne at the main bar. You can purchase by the glass or bottle, and prices by glass start at $ 10.
We were with a wedding group that rented the «VIP» space for their after-​party. Normally I think VIP areas attract douche-​baggery but it is cool to have a space with couches and tables to rent for groups. They provided chocolate covered strawberries for the group and the groom was drinking directly from a giant bottle of Veuve lol so I’d say, everyone we were with enjoyed themselves at Après!
