This place was chill. The service was good. It was slow when we were there so it is hard to judge how fun of a place this is, but it had all the right ingredients for a nice night out with friends!

We ordered some drinks at the bar then took them to a table. Over the course of the night we watched as our table was the only one that was not served or bussed. I asked the bartender about it and she said«I don’t care» and walked away. I noticed other reviews mentioning the rude bartender. We should have heeded their advice. Will never again return.

I stop in here when I’m going to a show at HOB. I’ve always had a nice and pleasant drink or two. The bartenders I’ve encountered are friendly and not too overbearing, but they’re quite talkative with each other. You won’t have too much difficulty getting their attention for a drink, tho. I’ve not come in here to party after the sun goes down, though. I’ve only ever been here before shows, so I’m not sure what the tourist crowd, or even the local vibe is like.

Nice place to stop for an afternoon break in the French Quarter. Comfortable, laid back vibe, good beer selection, clean. No food or snacks. Plenty of tv screens tuned to every imaginable sporting event. First time I ever watched rugby. Now, how does that sport work anyway?

This was the perfect little bar to stop in and watch the Cubs game. HAHA Yup, in New Orleans. Anyways, we saw it, walked right in, sat down and got drinks. That’s it, only drinks. One of the million things I loved about New Orleans is that their local brewery is Abita. So that’s what I stuck with the whole night. No food, but a lot of people were getting pizzas delivered in. Quiet, quaint and it’s in the French Quarter. That’s all.

Irish Coffee’s were delicious. Morning bartenders were full of info on the sights around the city. Can’t wait to come back for more.

Our home base place in N.O. Fun during football season on a Saturday morning and afternoon. People from all over the country watching their teams. Great bartenders, Carolyn, Sara, Melissa, and Rachael. They’re very helpful on what to see and how to get around on the public transit.

Ryan’s is a divey sports bar off the beaten path. A large group of us were in town to celebrate a friend’s birthday, so we all met at Ryan’s to watch Tennessee football and drink. They have a lot of TVs turned to all the sporting events. Some tables near the back of the bar where large groups can congregate. Otherwise can sit along the bar. Beer and liquor available. Basically Ryan’s is a standard dive sports bar in the Quarter and totally adequate for watching the game.

As a local, Ryan’s is one of the only bars in the Quarter that I frequent. The main reason is the staff. While I give props to just about all of them, Jenna does it best. She’s funny and personable, quick with refills, and on top of the crowd, no matter what the cat drags in. I hear she’s donating tips from her shift this Saturday to the Barman’s Fund. I’ll be there… for charity, of course.

This bar is my favorite meeting place when I’m downtown. First, it is in the middle of everything so it is easy to access. Second, they are not touristy whatsoever. Their draft beer selection is great but the prices reflect that. They are known for their sports coverage, so there is something for everyone. Overall, it’s a great place to grab a drink while avoiding the tourists.

Pretty laid back, Irish bar in the French Quarters. There was a decent amount of people inside when we stopped in for our to-go drinks. The bloody mary mix is housemade and pretty good. Bartender was nice and was quick with our drinks. They had a great selection of draft beers.

Feeling a tad tired the day after Christmas, I wandered into Ryans and ordered a coffee with Jameson. Really relaxed, mellow vibe which is what I was wanting. The bartender quickly made some coffee for me and luckily, she understood I meant a Jameson with a wee bit of coffee. So delightful. They have a jukebox that was playing some great stuff — think danzig, pixies, I cant remember what else. I got into a wonderful conversation about records and record stores. An all around fantastic time.

Nice chill sports bar on Decatur near Canal. They have a full NHL package and the super nice bartender was happy to set up a screen for us. We had been here before to catch some playoff games a few years ago, but was not expecting to find a bar in the US showing a regular season, Wednesday night Vancouver/Calgary game! Mix of tourists and locals, and prices are decent.

Two stops in the course of one day. Ya know what’s crazy about this town, the sultry heat that can bog a Midwestern city boy down. There is a lot to love about this A-typical Irish pub. Looks to have been recently updated or modern in looks. The men’s room is far superior than most bars in or around the area. Bartenders are pretty sociable and they offer a decent selection of spirits and beers on tap. The bar has a large number of flat panel televisions for the sports loving crowd and views can be seen throughout much of the bar. They put to good use a few of the large mirrors around the bar which have allowed me to check out the lovely ladies entering bar, without so gauchely looking left and right as they entered. After vacationing a few days in Nola, I can appreciate their affordable pricing on booze and shots. For example a jäger bomb and mixed cocktail ran me about ten dollars before tip whereas in other areas of the French quarter the same could cost upwards of fifteen dollars. Fucking great pricing compared to most of the area. I don’t get why some bars here charge as much or more than large city bars. No offense.

First off I have to say this is one of the cleanest and neatest bars in the QTR area. Plenty of tvs to watch sports, offers a 5 dollar Irish car bombs, and has a great AC system. The chic bartender we had however had no personality and was just not friendly. Look I visit a lot of «Local» type bars when I go to NOLA but I never get treated this way even though I am a «tourist». This is a bar only. No food is offered. If you are a clean freak then this might be your best bet but for me we had a couple of drinks and got out of there.

We showed up here on a Saturday while some baseball games were showing and boy was it a sausage fest. In a good way for ladies of course. There seemed to be many young 30’s guys here. There is much more seating here than most other French Quarter bars. There were tons of seats at the bar, numerous booths, and tables in the back. The restrooms were nice enough and I really liked how open air it was. I’d come back here for sure.
