Cool restaurant with a fun atmosphere and good food, but the service was lacking. Went in for lunch on a Thursday and there was only one other table there when we walked in. However, we waited a long time for drinks and very long time for food. If they were busy, it would have been more understandable. Once we did get our food, it was really good, just wish we could have enjoyed it more.

The service here started out very badly. The manager came by our table though and immediately addressed our issue by giving us a new server, Sequoia, who was delightful. The food was pretty average. Great to be able to grab a meal before a show.

Sooooooooo pissed. I was with a large group of people who were scheduled to show up at 9:30 on a friday night. It 2as a catered order, but they closed the kitchen at 9pm on a Friday night. Those wgo didn not like/eat the awful catered food had no other choices because they had already closed the kitchen.

The photos on their website looked fancier inside and the food looked fancier too. But, the food was excellent. It was good pub food. Their voodoo shrimp appetizer is there #1 seller, which I can see why. Their jambalaya with spicy sausage was good and cheese was totally melted inside the actual hamburger. Excellent! It was between lunch and dinner time, so quiet, relaxed atmosphere with a good waitress.

My first time there. Food not worth the money and service sucks. Waited hour for hamburger and pita pizza. Waitress suck. Had to go to bar for another drink. Not going back anytime soon. Don’t waist your time.

The first words out of your mouth should be «we’ll start with the maple butter cornbread». You could also go all in and get the voodoo shrimp which come on top of the corn bread. For our entrees we tried the juicy Lucy, BBQ chicken flatbread and shrimp po boy. The juicy Lucy was good and cooked perfectly. It was juicy, but not greasy. The po boy was also good as well as the sweet potato fries. The real winner was the BBQ chicken flatbread. I would recommend that 10x over. Our server, Kristin, was also pretty cool and very attentive as well as the manager. I don’t think we even saw the manager ever leave the floor. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.

I ate here prior to a concert at the House of Blues, so it was convenient to be close to the show. We were seated upon arrival. Our server was tentative and quick service. Hurricane drink was good. The best part of the dinner was the triple chocolate cheesecake!!! As a huge chocolate fan, major points for this place!!!

Nice atmosphere but wasn’t really into the selection of food. I did enjoy the red based Jambalaya. My drink did nothing for me. Simple margarita with a side of almorrta didn’t even get me tipsy like it does in most places. The food was over priced.

I have tried to dine here twice before a show. Both times, the entrée ticket times were over an hour. Last night was my last attempt. The wait was almost 75 minutes for 6 entrees. Mine was cold. No apologies. When I slightly complained to the waiter, his response was to roll his eyes at me and say«I don’t know what to tell you, were busy»…they weren’t busy. I left so angry I could scream. I would rather dine at a Lucky Dog stand. ***it is a great concert venue! The bartenders were quick and kind, and the event staff was helpful. Just eat elsewhere.

We decided to eat here before a show on March 5 because we purchased«pass the line» tickets which we could redeem in the restaurant. Tried to make reservations for 4pm, but they only had 4:30pm available. When we showed up at 4pm, there were only two other tables eating food so they seated us immediately. The waitress was great, knowledgeable and the manager came out and asked us how we were doing. They had some interesting beers on tap. Juicy Lucy burger — tasted good but was incredibly greasy and made her feel nauseous Market fish of the day — sauteed and pan roasted in olive oil — this was incredibly disgusting. It tasted fishy, NOT fresh at all, the texture was disturbing, and it was greasy. Not to mention, the people behind us ordered a spinach and artichoke appetizer that they said tasted like wet, frozen spinach. This restaurant does NOT use fresh ingredients. I’m pretty sure my fish had been frozen and then thawed and the spinach was frozen spinach. Why have a restaurant in New Orleans where you don’t serve fresh fish? If that fish was fresh, there was something terribly wrong with it.

3÷9÷15 The reservation was made 3 weeks in advance to celebrate my Mom’s 90th birthday in New Orleans(we live in SC) — the birthday was noted on the Open Table reservation. I reviewed Crossroads on line and the picture I saw showed white table cloths and an inviting atmosphere. Imagine my surprise when we arrived and found NO tablecloths and just a bar/pub atmosphere! This is NOT what I had planned for Mom’s celebration dinner. We were only the 2nd table of people in the restaurant — that should have been a sign to RUN! But no Mom said we would stay. I asked what type of birthday celebration Crossroads offered and the waiter said a birthday shot — but he really didn’t know what was in it or bread pudding for desert. We order coffee for my husband, a drink for Mom and unsweetened ice tea for me — oops that was served as sweet tea. Never did the waiter ask my husband for a refill on coffee or my ice tea. My husband had the jambalaya was fair at best — mushy is the only word he could think of, I had the lobster mac & cheese — I think they were low on lobster that day and VERYOVERPRICED. Mom had the pork sliders and sweet potatoe fries and her meal was the best of the three. The presentation of all three meals was just OK but for the price and what I saw on line — no so much. To spend the $$$ that we did for the meal, service and atmosphere did not even begin to meet our expectations! Then when returned home I had an email from Open Table stating they canceled our reservation — how could that be since we were only the second table of people at 4:30pm on March 9, 2015 — I guess the waiter never acknowledged we arrived on his computer! Would I recommend House of Blues Crossroads or would we return — NO!

You went to the freaking holy land for Southern food and you got stuck at Crossroads. Pity. We went to Crossroads before a show at the House of Blues and we could have had so much more. Our food took more than an hour to get to us, was cold, and overpriced($ 55 for pulled pork sliders, jambalaya and a couple PBRs?). Our waitress said it was because the show was sold out, but the restaurant was half empty. On top of this, the food was not good. The jambalaya was soupy, the pulled pork sliders cold, and the mac and cheese side looked like Velveeta. Two stars. Only because our waitress was sincerely sorry for the wait. That and the cool Louisiana folk art on the walls.

No disclosure on drinks being 15 dollars in the specialty menu. They ran out of souvenir glasses and only took off two dollars. Most expensive mediocre cocktail I’ve ever had in my life.

My family and I enjoyed the food as well as the decorations on the inside. However, it was expensive and many items were sold out. The waitress spent several minutes talking about the alcoholic beverages. I got the Caesar salad. It was mediocre, and the bread that came with it was not tasty. There was a nice atmosphere, though. All the music played wasn’t blues. No blues vibe.

Great atmosphere from the street into and including the décor of the restaurant. It has the feel of a back alley kind of place even though you know that it is artificial. My service was very friendly and competent. The macaroni and cheese side was very well done and the corn bread appetizers is delicious.

I enjoyed this place. It’s like a little hidden old Nola bar/juke joint set up behind the HOB club. Everything on the menu was not A material but C at the least. The voodoo shrimp was awesome as well and pretty much all of the appetizers like the dip for example. I had the New York strip(it was ok) with a ton of Mac n cheese and red mash potatoes which were good. My mom had the fried chicken which could use way more seasoning or creole kick to it but it was decent and a very large portion. I tasted my nephews build your own burger which was very flavorful. I enjoyed it Nola atmosphere and creole/voodoo ish charm.

The reservation started off rocky because the hostest made a big deal out of me wanting to use my gift certificate. She stated that I couldn’t use the voucher on a holiday… Mother’s Day. When I showed her that the voucher said nothing about that, she told me what it used to say. Thank goodness the manager was there and pretty much forced her to let me use it. It got better after we were seated. Our server, Julian was great! He made recommendations for great dishes including the Voodoo Shrimp app and the Shrimp and Grits entrée. He was very personable and attentive even though we told him that we understood that we would have to be patient because it was busy. We had the Burbon Bread pudding as a desert. I’m not a fan of bread pudding but this was amazing! I also thanked Julian after dinner for actually asking for my ID since my card clearly states«Please see ID». Seemingly little things like that really make a difference!

Popped in for lunch. Super comfortable. Great atmosphere. Music playing was awesome. Food was surprisingly great. Recommend the Cajun Pasta. The kids pizza were also awesome.

Ate here with my girlfriend tonight. We should have known something was wrong when we walked in a 7:00PM and every table was empty. That couldn’t have been a good sign, but it’s Memorial Day so a lot of places were either closed or full up on reservations, so we stayed. Since a lot of reviews mentioned the bad service, we figured at least they couldn’t ignore us. Still, the service wasn’t the best. And the drinks were incredibly overpriced, the most expensive we’ve seen in all of French Quarter. We split the voodoo shrimp, which was pretty good. I had the jambalaya, which all in all wasn’t terrible. But either french dip or the cornbread, which I DIDN’T HAVE… well after my girlfriend spent a spell throwing up in the bathroom, we’ve concluded that one of the two had to have given her food poisoning. Most likely the french dip. Makes me wish I could take back the tip I left. This place seems to have two Unilocal pages, so I’m leaving the review at both.
