2016: 7 out of 100 Mediocre beer and food. We ordered a plethora of dishes but none of it stood out. Good location and good for large groups. They seated our group of 17 easily for Saturday night dinner even though we didn’t have prior reservations.

First time in NOLA and last day here. The manager Mike is so amazing and let us in with our drinks and seated us with the Best server, Mary Ann. She was super knowledgeable on the food and drinks, great attitude, positive personality and Hilarious!!! Even the bartender took great care of us. I definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Lovey

2 levels. Nice balcony. Live music. Patronized on other trips. Always sat on balcony which wasn’t open this Dec 2015 trip. Usually have the Brie &/or a hamburger. We arrived 8:00ish, the Sat after Christmas. Hubby ordered the crawfish étouffée & I, the crab stuffed shrimp. Neither were decent. He said the étouffée required a LOT of hot sauce to be edible. My plate was pretty but neither of us could eat the awful stuffing which resembled baby food but tasted like something you might pick up a not-so-great grocery store. The place, best described on this visit, was a madhouse mess. Loud, large groups, messy tables. If I ever patronize again, it’ll be in good weather, insist on patio seating & order the trusted two. Never felt this way about this establishment before.

Touristy, tacky, light beer, terrible shrimp poboy, decent wings. Sorry but not impressed especially for a $ 14 poboy that hardly had anything in it and poor quality shrimp.

We stopped in to try the craft beers. I got the Sampler including one of the specialty beers. Overall, I wasn’t blown away by any of them. The red stallion was probably the best of what I had. We didn’t try any of the food but there were some interesting looking choices on the menu. I would come back again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Don’t be fooled by the trendy, modern look of this place — the food is serious. It’s the only dinner place we visited twice on our trip to NOLA. Just goes to show that it’s possible to have a friendly, unintimidating atmosphere for out-of-towners(aka anyone reading this review) while still bringing the goods. The alligator sausage poboy, chicken salad, BBQ ribs, potato salad, and mac & cheese were all fantastic. But the crawfish etoufee was next level. Possibly the best thing I ate all week, and I ate a lot of great stuff! They also have live music every night after 6(not that that’s hard to find around here) and offer a lot of really nice beers brewed onsite. Whatever your taste, there’s bound to be something to suit you here.

Terrible restaurant. Came to watch a football game and they wouldn’t put the game on the tv. Then we waited about 10 minutes until someone even came over to serve us. Meanwhile the place was totally empty!!! Then the waiter was not friendly at all. Would not recommend it.

The menu selection was nice. The Caesar salad was good. The Mac and cheese was ok. It was on the runny and bland side. The pulled pork sandwich was large but also on the bland side. The chips were good. Service was timely and the kitchen was fast.

We came here for our first dinner in NOLA. I got the shrimp poboy and a vodka tonic(not a beer drinker so can’t comment on that). The poboy was a little dry but maybe that’s just how they’re made normally. I hadn’t had one before this so not sure. Overall though it was pretty good and I added hot sauce to it which helped make it a little more moist(sorry, everybody who hates that word) and give it a kick. Server was friendly and atmosphere is really nice.

If I were to rate the ambiance and staff, I would give this place a solid 5 stars! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful! My husband and I decided to spend a night in New Orleans for a quick honeymoon while in Mississippi for his grandmother’s memorial service(our honeymoon took a back seat to family affairs, obviously). We unfortunately caught the outskirts of Hurricane Patricia, so we weren’t able to do as much walking around as we had hoped. We stayed at the French Market Inn a few doors down, so we decided to have a nice dinner at Crescent City Brewhouse and then go back to the hotel for the night. We ordered Evelyn’s Boudin Balls and some sampler beers to start, which were superb! My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits and I got the Southern Crispy Duck(at the recommendation of our lovely waiter). Everything was so tasty! That is, it would have been tasty had we not got HORRIFIC food poisoning just a few hours later. I didn’t get it nearly as bad as my husband, so we attributed it to the Shrimp and Grits since I just dipped my bread in the sauce he had. My poor husband was sick for almost 12 hours and was sick our entire ride back to Mississippi. So much for our romantic honeymoon night away. If it wasn’t for the awful food poisoning, this place would have gotten a far better rating.

The food was fantastic. Ordered the Seafood Cheesecake due to all the rave reviews and it did not disappoint. We actually ordered a handful of appetizers to share in lieu of separate entrees. The crawfish mac & cheese was great as well, more creamy than cheesy. Beer selection is standard small microbrewery fare. We’re not super-hoppy lovers so tried the Black Forest, which was good though not spectacular. Paired well with all of the food, especially the bread pudding for dessert. I’ve been looking for good bread pudding since I first tried it years ago in Texas. The main chef and half the kitchen staff of the hospital I worked in were Katrina transplants, and all of the food was amazing. Apparently I had to come to the source to find anything on par. It was melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness covered in praline pecan sauce perfection. Boyfriend finally understands my fixation on bread pudding.

First brewpub of the trip and a solid choice. Despite a busy Thursday night on Halloween weekend, plenty of space for a group of six. Obviously had to order the sampler($ 8.50). Five beers of varying styles — personally loved the seasonal IPA that had solid hops to go with my meal. For food — ordered the Shrimp poboy($ 15). A little on the expensive side, though you get a handful of fried shrimp with jalapeño to give it that kick(I added hot sauce as well). Ended up going halfsies on the Fried Alligator($ 12), which was breaded evenly enough to actually taste the gator. Food was only okay for the price, yet I came out satisfied due to the excellent service and atmosphere.

Just had a wonderful Oktoberfest meal at Crescent city brewhouse. My waiter, Peter, was fantastic and went out of his way to accommodate my requests. Also the floor manager Sean, was just super, and wanted to make sure everything was just right. There are simply so many good things on their menu. And two desserts I can definitely recommend are the Almond fruit bowl and the creole cream cheesecake. I highly recommend this place for locals as well as tourists.

First things first, the Cajun michelada brewtail is perfection. They have some pretty decent beers, though a small selection for a brewery. I would say they are more of a restaurant with a bonus brewhouse. They food was good, though I’m sure you can find more authentic food in the area. It is in a great location near Jackson Square.

After a visit to the French Market, we stopped off here for lunch. I got the prime beef ribs. It came with mac and cheese plus a small arugula salad. The(2) beef ribs were pretty good. Braised in beer then flash fried. The Mac and cheese was also good. I wish there was a 3rd rib though. The Bloody Mary I got was straight forward. Didn’t look like a salad which I do enjoy from time to time :)

It’s a brew place right in the French Quarter. The beer is okay, the food is okay and service was spotty. I wanted to try the 5 beer sampler but they did not have the seasonal for the 4 beer sampler it was. I would avoid the light beers(taste like soap). The burger and the shrimp and grits was the highlight of dinner. I would go again but next time just order dark beer and no sampler. Live music is a plus but come early in the evening before they break for the night.

We came here as a recommendation from family and used Unilocal to help determine the best dishes to pick and Unilocal did not let us down. The fresh Oysters were awesome and hit the spot. We had a second appointee which was the Seafood cheesecake. It did sound like a weird thing to get simply based in the expectation of what cheesecake is. However, this is the only savory cheesecake I have ever had and it was good. My partner and I shared the shrimp and grits which were also good. Our waitress was very good at helping us decide what to drink with dinner. I did the beer sampler since this is a brewery. It was a very good choose for me. Beyond helping with making drink choices our waitress provided excellent service. The live jazz music is very New Orleans and was not over powering. I recommend making this a place to eat while in New Orleans.

After walking forever, my wife and I were thirsty and starving so we thought we’d give this brewery a try. Discover is an accepted form of payment. The air conditioned atmosphere was extremely welcomed. The brews weren’t too bad(we’re beer snobs from WA where the best brews are brewed). The staff was friendly enough. The food was good. The prices a bit high in my opinion. We ordered a couple glasses of Red Stallion for $ 7.50 each. We shared the Southern Pulled Pork Sandwich for $ 14.95: low roasted pork shoulder marinated in creole seasonings, spiked with our Red Stallion vinegar, topped with smothered collard greens, provolone cheese, mayonnaise. Served on pretzel roll; house-made chips. Thanks Crescent for the quick pit stop.
