I’ll make this simple: If you want slow service for shitty fast food served with lip-sucking, eye-rolling attitude, this is the place for you! Basically the same caliber as the McDonalds up the street, except this Rallys has also made me sick. Won’t make this mistake again, ever.

Rally’s is one of those places that you go after a great night out for a small meal before bed. Went tonight and the burger was made perfectly and the fries were hot. You don’t get that many times at fast food this late. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you’re looking for an alternative McDonald’s or other traditional fast food!

PROUDTOCALLITHOME: I’m now officially Unilocal’s «duke» of «da magnolia» in Central City. Any place where the sweet elderly lady working a lone walk-up register on Easter Sunday can still genuinely smile and call me «my baby», well I’m in. BATTLEOFTHEPIGEONS! Why is it that at every Rally’s I’ve gone to the pigeons go all«The Birds» on me? Seriously, even living in remote Key West, somehow the few dive-bombing pigeons that have miraculously waddled down there all hang out at the N. Roosevelt location. NOTWHATABURGERBUT this Rally’s queue is indifferently local, not dissimilar to Manchu or Wing Snack. Moreover there’s always a monthly deal, priced so low that it calls into suspicion the fact that no dogs are ever seen nearby. I recently ordered the spicy chicken sandwich(guilty pleasure), also a Champ cheeseburger, the $ 2 special shrimp & fries basket, and a large cold drink; it easily fed two for less than $ 11. CHA-CHING…

Fast food, it’s never«great,» is it? I mean, it’s food and it’s fast, but it’s not good for you, nor do the words«you gotta go try(___insert food___) at(___insert fast food chain___)» ever escape anyone’s lips; especially in a city with great dining like New Orleans. Nevertheless, the Rally’s off St. Chuck on Louisiana, is one of the best Rally’s in the city. My boyfriend and I needed food and we needed food STAT after watching fireworks in the Quarter on NYE, so we decided to make a stop at the 24-hour McDonald’s around the corner from this Rally’s. If anyone has ever attempted to order anything and any time from that McDonald’s, you’ll understand why we wound up at Rally’s. I digress… The burgers and fries were fresh. The staff was friendly, which is something I really appreciated from the on NYE/day at 1:00am. All-in-all, a solid 3-star Rally’s.

I was visiting on a work vacation from Houston. I got of my shoot late and my girlfriend and I decided to try this Rally’s place people were talking about. Service is horrible, I went through the drive through and the person taken my order sounded like she hated everything. I was asking questions about the menu and she snapped at me. I just ordered cause it was late and I was starving. Got our food and I have to say it was decent. Fries were crispy, and the burger was good. If i’m in new orleans again, i’ll defiantly stop by.

I was looking for food late one night and the lights called to me. The food was tasty, hot, and as I ordered. The only downside of course was that I was eating in Orleans parish. Austerity prevailed

It’s past 4:00AM and you’re in Central City/Uptown, and you’re looking for a greasy food fix that doesn’t require a drive or an overpriced 24-hour diner. Your options are limited. Very limited. In fact, your options are limited to this Rally’s near the corner of Louisiana and St. Charles. It’s right near a streetcar stop, and you can walk right up to the window. In the middle of an average night in this area, the Rally’s is abuzz with drunken revelers in their club clothes and disheveled street urchins. I’ve even witnessed the occasional trans prostitute with wig slightly askew slurring her hot wings order into the walk-up window with a savage grace. It is sublime and wonderful, and it is the reason that the more adventurous among us seek out these kinds of «authentic» New Orleans experiences. The poorly-compensated, put-upon employees of this Rally’s are not often in a good mood, but they have never been less than helpful and efficient in taking my order and handing me my greasy bag of shame-food within minutes. I usually get the Big Buford burger or the chili cheese fries, both of which are shamefully unhealthy and awful, but hey… this is fast food at 4:00AM in a sketchy hood, so please adjust your expectations. Thanks Rally’s!

It’s Rally’s. The food is bad, the service is bad — everything is bad. To be honest, I checked-in here as a joke because I didn’t think Unilocal would let me write a review about Rally’s…I was wrong. If it’s 2 A.M. and you’re drunk and hungry, Rally’s is your destination.
