When a thunderstorm rolls through and Mid-town and Carrollton lose power«until approximately 8:00 pm» you drive to the nearest restaurant to grab dinner in the hopes you can wrestle your toddler into submission with biscuits, red beans and rice, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I was rolling down my window to pay when the power blinked on in Carrollton and then off in Carrollton and Mid-City. Everything was lost. The intersection went nuts and people flooded the parking lot trying to cut through. For ten minutes the restaurant staff kept in touch with us as we all waited, unable to move had we wanted to. Power came back on and they sped us right through, never missing a beat. Customer service was fantastic. Five stars. The food was awesome but if I gave five stars to fast-food chicken without first trying slow-food fried chicken in the region, well that would be a travesty. I’m taking recommendations on where to get fried chicken!

I wanted to give it 4.5 stars since overall I was impressed. The chicken tenders were big and juicy, the biscuit was good and the cajun rice tasted pretty good as well. Not bad for a $ 3.99 deal with a coupon.

Just picked up some food in the drive thru. The two ladies at the windows were both pleasant and friendly! And they got our order right.

I really wanted to determine if Popeyes tasted better in New Orleans compared to everywhere else. My conclusion is that it tastes the same. Nothing special about their recipe compared to other cities and states. Bummer. This location was extremely clean, the staff was friendly, and the chicken was fresh. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Why is it so difficult for this Popeye’s to have onion rings? 5th time in maybe two months that they don’t have them. That is their only side worth eating. The employees are usually nice but I won’t buy their food if I cannot get onion rings. They should take them off of their fancy menu board if they are so damn rare. I’d rather them be rude and have the onion rings. Oh well. I shouldn’t be eating this food anyway but it’s so good when they are on point.

Nothing like Popeyes chicken! This location is pretty much like most other popeyes. This one has friendly employees, and tons of specials on fried chicken. Their service is usually speedy. Popeyes is about the only decent chicken chain restaurant around. Their spicy chicken is fabulous! The sides especially the biscuits have always been a favorite of mine. Their red beans are okay, dirty rice is iffy, mash potatoes with gravy is awesome, and the french fries are wonderful. You can dine in at this location but it’s not exactly the best type sit down experience. The drive thru is an option but it is always crowded. Believe it or not ordering your food to go inside is actually quicker than the drive thru. In short great place to get some chicken while your in the Hollygrove area.

This is my 1st Popeyes experience and I found it much crisper and TASTIER than KFC.

My drive thru experience. I made my order at 11:32am and it is now 11:53 am and I’m outside still waiting on my order. Then a worker just told me they forgot to drop my order. Thus is insane! Order #543 Store #2239 P.s Someone needs to know how to delegate their shift.

Love Dat Chicken from Popeyes! I get the chicken made hot and spicy. When they ask if you want white or dark meat, remember that you can also ask for specific pieces, like a breast and two legs in a 3-piece, if you prefer.

Hmmm. Popeyes, I have a love/hate relationship with you. Over the years, this specific location has given me food poisoning at least 3 times, but yet here I sit, just awarded the Duchess of this Popeyes pulled up to the yellow line waiting on my freshly cooked order of a 13 piece, 2 lg sides and onion rings. My doctor tells me to stay away. I just can’t quit you Popeyes. Important note, if you get the chicken fingers get the Mardi Gras mustard. It is different than the honey mustard served out of other Popeyes. It made with creole mustard and I love it so much that is the main reason I often face potential death by eating here so often.

This is the closest drive thru Popeyes to my house and I come here way too often, always drive thru, so I can bring it home and bask in my shame in the privacy of my own home. I always get the spicy chicken tenders meal with mashed potatoes and they’ve only messed up once(red beans by mistake), which isn’t too bad of a track record.
