Do NOT waste your time! These people are inexperienced and totally unprofessional! I went for a refill on the«coffin» or «squareletto» shaped nails and what I got was a nightmare. I should’ve known better than to expect anything above average from a DIRTY«hole in the wall» nail salon(or lack there of). I asked the girl on several occasions if she knew how to do them and she said yes each time. When she started filing them I knew I messed up for even stopping here and trusting that they would do a decent job. Long story short I ended up with VERY short square nails and still had to pay for the ish. On top of that I was CLEARLY and VISIBLY pissed the last thing I wanted to do was hold a conversation and the chick wouldn’t stfu. Anyway, BEWARE of these money hungry people they don’t care if you have a pleasant experience or not.

I had a wonderful experience at Fancy’s and would definitely recommend this place for manicures and pedicures! They spend lots of time with you and do a great job! To top it off, the prices are very reasonable!

I asked for a manicure and a full set. It was Friday about 5pm, they looked furious I had the nerve to come in on a Friday evening. She completely skipped the manicure, the sides of the acrylics were not filled completely and I had to have her redo two of them immediately because they came out with bumps on them. Not terribly priced overall which is why I go back but if there was a place as close to home and with better prices, I’d definitely be there instead.

I’ve had a pedicure at Fancy Nails and left thinking«you get what you pay for». I recently had my nails done and was less than pleased. The young woman who put the acrylic over my natural nails did a good job. However she had someone else paint them. The paint job was not neat. I prob will not return.

No frills but no wait. Not a huge selection of gel brands/colors, but if you like Gelish — you’ll have plenty of options. For the price($ 27 for a gel mani) I’ll likely be back. I requested OPI Skyfall for the holiday season. If they come through, I may have found my new nail home.

Really not impressed. They hurt my legs with the scrub. The paint job is noting impressive either, I can do a better job myself. I’ve already taken it off and it hasn’t been 24hrs. Not my usual nail place, and I won’t go back another time. Seriously thinking of going to my usual to fix the mess of the uneven file job.

Had a friend suggest we try this place, and since it wasn’t out of my way, we went for mani-pedis. Had a great experience. The salon wasn’t crowed and was well-kept. We were seen right away, and the technicians who helped us were pleasant and professional. I thought the price of the service was a value, as well. I’ve been looking for a nail place since I moved to NOLA, and this may be the place. I’ll go back to see how the waxing experience turn out.

It saddens me to change my review for this place from 4 to 2 stars. I’ve been going here for over 2 years. And I was pretty sure the owners changed late last year. And the place has just gone down hill. The attention to detail isn’t there. They are no longer autoclaving their tools that I can tell(cleanliness is #1 on my list) and the place just seems to be a bit of a mess. I have felt like I’m in someone’s living room with kids eating pizza & lounging around. Guess I’m shopping around again…

I really think A-OK sums up my experience here. They weren’t busy on a Thursday so I could walk right in, but I dont think anything would draw me back in either. If I needed a mani/pedi and happened to be walking by, like this case, I would go there, but I wouldnt go out of my way to return. They do have childrens options, which is pretty cute. Ive seen a few nail places add a fee to use a card, but this place ‘gives you $ 2 off to use cash’, if you want to look at it that way. So it was $ 35. Sorry for the unenthusiastic review, but thats kind of how I felt before, during, and after having my nails done here. I was actually kind of thinking i should’ve gone a few blocks over to my nail’s true love, Amys Nails, instead. I wont stray again Amy’s, I promise, I’ve learned my lesson!

Friendly folks, thorough pampering… finding Fancy Nails made my day! A clean, no frills shop that I can — and will — afford to return to for my monthly pedi indulgence.
